Looking for SQL Server 32Bit trial download

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 19, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Does anyone know where you can still download SQL Server 2005 trial? If not then is there a 2008 32bit trial that is available? I tried to download the 2005 version but it's no longer available and redirects you to the 2008 R2 trial download. I am looking for the 32bit download but the link is for the 64bit download.

Anyone know where I can look to find the SQL Server 2005 or 2008 32bit trial download?

Client download .csv file from server using Response.TransmitFile

I am using the code below to enable clients to download a .csv file from my server. The problem I am having is that when the file is saved to the client computer the file name is prefixed and suffixed with an underscore which leads to a file type of .csv_ which is obviously not a recognised file type. How can I strip the underscores from the file name at the transmit stage?        Dim FileName As String = LstBox1.SelectedItem.ToString        Dim FilePath As String = "~/temp" & FileName        Response.Clear()        Response.ContentType = "text/csv"        Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=\" & FileName & "\")        Response.TransmitFile(FilePath)        Response.End()

SQL*Server 2008 SP1 applied but still tries to download and install from Windows Update

I had previously posted this on the windows update forum and was advised here was more appropriate. I have installed SQL*Server Express 2008 on laptop with windows7 and appled the SP1 update. This shows as applied correctly when looking at programs/updates from control panel, update logs. The management console confirms version 10.1.2531 is running. Each time I use windows update  the service pack is listed as needing download / install - the same KB968369 is given as the reference. I have run this a couple of times but the update is shown as outstanding each time. Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks Colin

How to download emails with attachment from exchang server 2003 through .NET c#

Hi I am building .net c# application based on exchange server 2003. I would like to know how to download the emails with attachments from exchange server 2003 through code.  We have found following options to achieve the target. Available option on 2003 1. Outlook object model - issue with hosting in service 2. WebDav - required learning curve as given in MSDN. It also has limits on support in calendar. I hope we are not using calendar. 3. CDOEX is built on top of ExOLEDB. It can be used only on the same exchange server itself. 4. MAPI and CDO 1.21 not supported in managed .Net code. Anybody please tell me which one best suited to achieve the goal or is there any other solution for this.    Thanks and Regards Ashish

Cannot Restore Backup from Sharepoint Server 2007 to Sharepoint Server 2010 Trial Version

After installing the trial version of Sharepointn 2010 I wanted to restore my Sharepoint 2007 sites to it but received the following error:  "The site collection could not be restored. If this problem persists, please make sure the content databases are available and have sufficient free space." I went on to create a new content database in sharepoint 2010 but it still did not work. The old database i.e the one used by the sharepoint 2007 server is SQL 2005. During the installation of the sharepoint 2010 version I selected SQl Server Express for the database. Is there any specifics for migrating from MOSS 2007 to sharepoint 2010? Thanks for helping
