NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3603 - Fatal Execution Engine Error Encountered for Remoting Applicati

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 19, 2010    Points: 0   Category :.NET Framework

Hi,

We encountered a sudden "NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.3603 - Fatal Execution Engine Error" which caused our application to be terminated. We googled this error, and we found that there was a problem with mscorwks.dll (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913384). This post is for Dec, 2007, but our servers have latest .NET Service Packs Installed. We feel that since .NET 2.0 SP2 is installed this error might have been fixed by Microsoft in SP2, not sure though. We are looking for any possible solutions, with which we can avoid this error again. I am mentioning the error and .NET software installed on our server below.

The application is installed as a Windows .NET Service and runs under Local System Account.

.NET Softwares Installed.

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2005

Below are the errors logged in the event viewer.

Sporadic .NET application crash with "Fatal Execution Engine Error"

I have a .NET application that runs for several hours.  It is a multi-threaded app that does some calculations and saves the results to the database.   On one machine in particular, it has been crashing recently with the following exception recorded in the Event Log: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4206 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (6C9D7B6E) (80131506) Faulting application AnalyzerConsole.exe, version 1.0.82.0, time stamp 0x4c76d28b, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.4206, time stamp 0x4bf4c6a7, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0011627d, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10. Sometimes it runs for hours without crashing, but usually it will crash eventually. I have captured a dump, and this is the call stack: > ntdll.dll!_DbgBreakPoint@0()   mscorwks.dll!WatsonLastChance()  + 0x133 bytes   mscorwks.dll!EEPolicy::LogFatalError()  + 0x23c bytes   mscorwks.dll!EEPolicy::HandleFatalError()  + 0x47 bytes   mscorwks.dll!CLRVectoredExceptionHandlerPhase3()  + 0x10dae2 bytes   mscorwks.dll!CLRVectoredExceptionHandlerPhase2()  + 0x20 bytes   mscorwks.dll!CLRVectoredExceptionHandler()  + 0xb7 bytes   mscorwks.dll!CPFH_RealFirstPassHandler()  + 0x8ac bytes   mscorwks.dll!_COMPlusFrameHandler()  + 0xb9 bytes   ntdll.d

AppDomain unloading causes Fatal Execution Engine Error

After resolving my previous problem (by working around it, actually), I came to the point where I need to unload the AppDomain. After cleaning up all fibers that were created to be run in this AppDomain, my (C++/CLI) code runs AppDomain::Unload(_scriptDomain);, however, it terminates the process with a very, very bad error, according to the event logs: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7117851A) (80131506) The VS debugger crashes with a 'system error' in Debugger::HandleIPCEvent, which a web search shows as being no help. The (confusing) WinDbg stack trace is posted below: WARNING: HUGE STACK DUMPS FOLLOW (edit: removed due to falseness) [snip] I hope someone with more debugging experience than me can find out what's wrong with my program... I always get annoying issues when hacking on this! :(

Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A0F3CD5) (800703e9)

 Hi All,

Below mentioned is the issues I'm facing when running my application.

1.  .Net Run time version 2.0.50727.3603 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A0F3CD5) (800703e9)
2.  Faulting application MyApplication.EXE, version 1.0.0.1 , stamp 4b3b6f3f, faulting modules mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.3603, stamp 4a7cd88e, debug ? 0, fault address 0x00283cd5.

These are two errors i got in Application Event Viewer.

My application works on the following:

Need to write the Records(datas) in the file and update the status in 3 tables in SQL Server.

Iteration will goes on for minimun 10 Lakhs records.

-------

I got the above mentioned issues at nearly 70000 records and application get closed. But i cant able to catch the error in my application. I'm running my application in 2GB Ram. SQL server and application is in the same machine.

I couldn't exactly locate the issue...

Kinldy give me the valuable solutions and suggestions to resolve these issues....  Or any way to catch and handle these issues in my application itself...

Mixed mode assembly is built against version 'v2.0.50727' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in t

First, yes I've read every article I can find including this one: http://msmvps.com/blogs/rfennell/archive/2010/03/27/mixed-mode-assembly-is-built-against-version-v2-0-50727-error-using-net-4-development-web-server.aspx Of course it's for web server stuff, but I found this in my config file and added it. However, my problem now is that if I build in release mode I get a hard error in the error list telling me the same thing, even though it runs fine in debug and has the information in my app.config file. The really anoying part is that the error doesn't tell you WHICH assembly is the offending one. Anyone have any ideas?

Event ID 1011 - DefaultAppPool World Wid Web Pub. Serv. fatal communication error

We have a Windows 2003 server running IIS6 1.1 Framework. We have also installed a DNS and Active Directory in the same machine.

We're randomly getting the error you can see below. Sometimes it causes the recycling of process w3wp.exe (which on my understanding represents the application pool worker processd) and other times results on this process hanging and not responding to any request. To do iisrest temporarly solves the problem.

We were pointed to a possible permissions problem between the user we were runnig the DefaultAppPool with and registry entries used by the iis. We noticed the default predifined user we used, Network Service, wasn't found in the Active Directory, so we changed it by the default configurable user, IWAM_MACHINE_NAME, which is under the IIS_WPG Active Directory Grupo, which, in theory has the correct permissions to run the application pool.

Well, none of this worked and we are still getting this error.

This is driving us crazy and think the problem might have to do with having the Domain Controller/Active Directory and the IIS6 running on the same machine. We'll try now uninstalling this DC pointing to another one to see what happens.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Gabriel.

Error: Encountered multiple versions of the same assembly with GUID...try pre-importing...TlbImp

Hi!  Can someone tell me how I can troubleshoot the following error: "Encountered multiple versions of the same assembly with GUID...try pre-importing one of these assemblies".

The website developed in VS 2010 (.Net 3.5). This error is only received on my workstation.  Another person developing the site does not experience this issue at all.  Also, not sure if this matters, but on my workstation the 'Assembly Information...' dialog contains no values even though the 'AssemblyInfo.vb' file does specify values for the title, desc, etc.  The GUID being referenced in the error is the main project of the three projects within the solution.

I tried looking through the GAC, but do not see any references to the projects or DLLs in the VS solution and am not sure what else/where to look.

If I delete the copy of the solution on my local machine and pull down a copy from source control (AnkhSVN) the solution will build with no error.  Once I make any changes, such as adding a new aspx file, then the error is received.

I can provide any additional information needed.

.NET Remoting: Design and Develop Seamless Distributed Applications for the Common Language Runtime

Prior to the advent of .NET, DCOM was the underlying technology for remote communications between Windows-based applications. But DCOM is quirky to set up and configure and not as interoperable as it should be. In .NET, XML Web Services and .NET Remoting are a seamless and effective answer to the demand for tools to build distributed applications. This article provides a primer on .NET Remoting with insights into the internal plumbing. Important aspects of remoting, such as channels, object lifetime management, and clients for remote objects are discussed. In addition, some practical examples are provided.

IIS Crash with Faulting application w3wp.exe, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.42

The scenario is that, a .Net Webservice is making calls to C++ DLL (made from VC6 studio) This app works perfectly well for sometimes or over a period or for a high volume of hits and suddenly you see IIS crash along with service crash with the following error "Faulting application w3wp.exe, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.42" There is no pattern for this problem. The work around is to restart the IIS.    Can anybody tell me what could be the issue here?

2008 R2 Tuning Advisor reports "Error: Exception encountered(DTAEngine)"

I am encountering an error when I try to use the SQL 2008 R2 Database Engine Tuning Advisor. I create a very simple workload (either by right-clicking a query in SSMS or by loading a file), and click Start Analysis.  In the "Consuming Workload" step DTA aborts, and in the message column displays "Error: Exception Encountered(DTAEngine)". When I click on the error message, I get a dialog box with a title of DTAEngine, and a message "Error: Exception encountered". This is a clean test environment (SQL 2008 R2 Data Center Edition 64-bit, on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, in a VM) against a local database.
