Use the Convert License Type page to convert this installation to a licensed version.

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 19, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

I just rebuilt my entire farm and used the software I downloaded from MSDN.   When I try and type in my License key I can't type in the key box.  The OK button is greyed out and I am not able to type in my key into the Key field.

I am using SharePoint 2007 SP2 on Windows 2008 64bit.  Why can't I change my key?

Unable to enter the product key in the Convert License Type page (textbox is read-only)

We installed both WSS and MOSS SP2 and had planned to follow the manual fix for the known issue that the patch unexpectedly activates a trial expiration.  However, the textbox to enter the product key is read-only.  We have tried accessing this page using the normal administrator credentials as well as the farm account; no success.The SP2 issue and manual fix is detailed here, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/971620We were able to experience this problem on a farm running the Feb 2007 cummulative patch (version so it's not related to the SP.  But running the SP increasing the need to find the fix.Any help is appreciated,J. Convert .docx to web page - "the converter cannot complete the task because an internal error occurr

I'm trying to convert docx files to webpages to be published in to a library elsewhere on our sharepoint site. At first I was having no problem, the files were converting, however more recent files have returned the error: the converter cannot complete the task because an internal error occurred

I've tried writing, uploading and converting a simple docx file, and this works which has led me to believe that the problem is something in the docx files that i'm trying to convert. So i tried using word07 to clean the documents up by clicking Office button>prepare>inspect document then removing all the metadata, custom xml etc from the files resave, upload and convert, but still no joy.

I'd simply rewrite the document but the problem is that there are a lot of them.

Any ideas what's going wrong?

Cannot implicitly convert type

        public SqlDataReader GetModelbyModelID(int modelID)
            Database db = DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase();
            string sqlCommand = "GetModelbyModelID";
            DbCommand dbCommand = db.GetStoredProcCommand(sqlCommand);
            db.AddInParameter(dbCommand, "modelID", DbType.Int32, modelID);
            SqlDataReader dataReader = db.ExecuteReader(dbCommand);    ***********************

Cannot install Sharepoint Server 2010 "A previous installation has been detected with a license type

I'm trying to upgrade to Team Foundation Server 2010 and Project Server 2010. After getting TFS 2010 and Project Server 2007 to work with WSS 3.0, I started upgrade to Project Server 2010 which requires update to Sharepoint Server 2010 Enterprise. I installed pre-requisites and run "stsadm -o preupgradecheck" which passed everything. When I tried to run the installation I get Setup Warning "A previous installation has been detected with a license type that does not match the install in progress". I thought that my trial licence for Project Server 2007 stopped this so I completely uninstalled WSS 3.0 and restarted the server but the installation still stops with Upgrade window. Any ideas? is it possible somehow to convert an unghosted page back to ghosted? A user has edited a PageLayout or Master Page with Sharepoint Designer although I told him not to do this.. Now the page is unghosted and the "inline" is not allowed to be executed anymore.

Is there a way to unghost the page?

Convert FileLister to Parallel version

I need help in converting the code in the DoWork event of this listing to a Tasks.Parallel version.  I'm looking for a version without inferences or PLINQ.  I'm creeping up on this and I don't have a database background.

how to convert date type in SQL query output ?

In my database when anyone registers - By default the registration time is saved as UTC universal time zone.

But i want to display everything on the website in (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

I am using this SQL QUERY to display registration date:

SELECT TOP (5) Username, CustomerID,  RegistrationDate = CONVERT(VARCHAR(12),RegistrationDate,107)  FROM Customer ORDER BY RegistrationDate DESC

And, i am displaying it like this:

<asp:Label ID="nameLabeldate" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("RegistrationDate") %>' />

The problem is the output is getting displayed as : 10/20/2010 1:36:01 PM

I know RegistrationDate is datetime stamp that's why i am getting output in this format.

But i want to display RegistrationDate as: Oct 20, 2010 at 1:36pm -> according to (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) ORDER BY RegistrationDate in Desc (top most will be last registered user)

I need help with sql query by which i should be able to accoplish my desired output..please help...

Convert Document To Web Page Error

For site collection administrators and top level site designers the document conversion works correctly.  However, when a user who isn't one of these two roles tries to convert a word document to a web page they get the following error.

An error was encountered performing this operation. You may re-try the operation, and you may need to clean up the half-created data first before re-trying. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator.

I've tried giving the users designer permissions to their sites but they still get the error.

Any ideas on how I can give users the ability to convert documents to web pages without making them site collection admins or designers of the top level site?

cannot implicitly convert a type in a dll to the same type in the Service proxy.cs.

I got an error message, that said that cannot implicitly convert a type in a dll to the same type in the Service proxy.cs.

I have a WCF solution. The solution has DAL, Service, Host, Client, UserControl projects etc.

In the service project, I defined:

    public class PatientAndAccount
        Patient patientRow;
        AccBa   accountRow;

        public Patient PatientRow
            get { return patientRow; }
            set { patientRow = value; }
        public AccBa AccountRow
            get { return accountRow; }
            set { accountRow = value; }
