How to delete the default columns( All day Event field ) from the Calendar List in sharepoint?

Hi,

Is there anyway of disabling the All day Event field in a Calendar list. I don't have the option to hide it either.

Any help appriciated...

         I have followed the following post to create the custom Calendat webpart, that displays the details of events from events list. 

But i am getting the following error when i click on the dates shown as there are some events. The error looks like the following,

How to add custom list entries to mysite's calendar in Sharepoint 2007 site?

  
Hi,

I would like to know below things

(1) How to create MySite for one specific member with other or administrator's access?

(2) Scenario : Administrator have created one SP2007 site. now Administrator have created one calendar (Sample calendar). Administrator have added some entries in calendar. now one user entered in portal site ansd view the calendar and he click on MySite menu. so this sample calendar entries should enter in that user's mysite calendar. How this can be achieved?

My infopath form used to read these email addresses from a web service and web.config file. Now i would like to get these user email addresses from a contact list in a sharepoint server. I am trying to do this without writing any codes. Here is what i have done so far: 1. Adding a new "data connection to receive data from SharePoint library or List" where i selected Email Address column of the contact list. 2. I added a new Text Field and define a new rule with "Query using a data connection" defined above. When i try to access the newly created Text field above it always return empty as if the Query attached to it did not executed at all. What did i do wrong? Is there a better way? Hi All, I have created List Added Event Handler. In that Event I want to Add Custom Field in List as List is created. I get an Error "The Specified Program Requires    a newer version of windows" Is there ant solution for it. Use Sharepoint Calendar Start Time field in calculated column

  
I'm trying to limit the calendar view to current week using the Sharepoint defined field Start Time. However, when I display the serial number behind the Start Time it looks like it is actually giving me the serial number for the Created Date field. I believe it is because the appointment is reoccurring but I'm hoping there is a way around it. I created a new testdate field and manually entered the date and set those appointments as all day events however they are not reocurring appointments. The testdate returns the correct serial number however the start time returns an incorrect serial number. hi all, i have a sharepoint list with soem required fields . when i do the attachement and say ok without entering the required fields in the page . the page refreshes and prompts me to enter the required fields. but the attachemnt disappears. i need to re attach the files aggain.. wats the fix for this ?jayaraja

Query Sharepoint list, rich text columns returning HTML tags

  
Hi! So I have an issue that maybe someone of you have encountered as well. I am querying a Sharepoint list and creating a report from the data collected from this list. This all works fine except that one of the columns in this list is of the type "Multiple lines of text" and also supports "rich text" with different fonts, sizes and so on. This has the effect that the text returned from this column is wrapped in HTML tags that specifies how the text should be formatted. Naturally I do not want this HTML code to appear in my report so for now I have used custom code to do a string.replace and replaced for example <div></div> and <br> with "". However, this column also has url references to documents and these links shows up like this "/servername/site/subsite/Gemensamma%20dokument/Mwh.docx">http://servername/site/subsite/Gemensamma%20dokument/Mwh.docx There is some sort of double reference to the document that I guess like the HTML tags are embedded in the answer from the rich text column and this is not so easy to do a string replace on because the url varies with the different document and document names. My question really is if anyone of you have done a similar report that I am doing, and have encountered this fenomen with this sharepoint column and how you did to solve this? I have tried to creat

I have followed the various instructions around the net (specifically the TechNet article) on configuring MOSS2007 and Exchange for mail enabling your lists. I have also read and applied the changes specified by the Microsoft KB regarding the two forgotten Active Directory entries. At this point I am able to send an email to a list and have the email post. Some of my users want to make use of the Email enabled Calendar List. They create a standard Calendar list and mail enable it. They give the list a unique name for Active Directory. They then goto Outlook and try "inviting an attendee" to an event and wait to see the event get posted on the SharePoint list. I have applied the KB edits to the new Active Directory user and I can watch the emails come into the dropbox and then disappear, but nothing ever happens. I have permissions setup correctly as well as far as giving "Authenticated Users" contribute access.... I don't see any errors specifically.... I do notice all my emails come in as .eml attachments... Any ideas of where to look?

Anonymous Access to "Event Export" on sharepoint calendar display page

  
I am using a SharePoint calendar with events added in the list. When an anonymous user tries to use "Export Event" on the display page ,the user is prompted for a login. Is there a way that an anonymous user can download the .ics file without logging in ? Is anonymous access even possible ?

I have received this error three times now, once when trying to add a 'List Definition From Content Type' in Visual Studio twice when trying to add from existing site columns in Sharepoint in the list settings and library settings from the ribbon from a list and a document library.

How do I stop line feeds in a Hierarchy field from a SharePoint list to prevent wrapping

  
I'm developing a Reporting Services 2005 report that includes a Hierarchy field from a SharePoint 2007 list.  The Data Source for the report is an XML type. I would like to display the Hierarchy field on 1 line.  However, it is displaying in 2 or more lines. The field also wraps when rendering to Acrobat (PDF) file.  How can I get rid of the embedded line feed (I believe it's "&#xA").  I've tried using the Replace function in an expression, other functions and changed the properties, e.g., the CanGrow property.  Nothing seems to work. Does anybody have any suggestions?  Thanks.
