I have an SSIS package that uses the WMI Event Watcher task to watch the file system for a file to be dropped into a directory. When the file is dropped in the package processes that file.
This all worked well in dev and test. But when I move to production I have a problem. My produciton server is a cluster. I am attempting to watch a directory on a cluster drive. However, I am unable to get events triggered off that drive. THere are no errors
the package starts up OK but when I drop a file into the watch directory nothing happens. If I configure the package to watch the C drive it works fine. So I am pretty sure something is different when watching a cluster drive.
The server is SQL 2008 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit.
Here is my connection: \\servername Namespace: \root\cimv2
Here is my query: SELECT * FROM __instancecreationevent WITHIN 10 WHERE TargetInstance ISA 'Cim_DirectoryContainsFile' AND TargetInstance.GroupComponent='Win32_Directory.Name=V:\\\\FileTransfer'
Does anyone know what I should be doing differently?
Thanks in advance.
