Posted By:      Posted Date: October 19, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint
Can any help me by giving me some direction in adding a PowerPoint show to SharePoint? I do not want to make any registry changes. As this seems to be one way I have seen people doing it. The file is a .ppsx file. I really appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

Show/hide dashboard items Sharepoint

I'm having a problem with trying to filter the appearence of items on a sharepoint site by having a dropdown list and filter according to the current value, The method i am using atm is by having javascript and by looping through all the <td> on page. This works for list views, But not for Performance point dashboard objects/web parts, +

Is there a way to somehow get the title of all performance point objects on a page, fill the dropdownbox show/hide depending on the selected item in the box?

Is it possible to use multiple date fields to have an event show more than once on a Sharepoint 2007

Hello, Is it possible to use multiple sets of start and end times to have events display multiple times in a sharepoint calendar? To clarify: - I have the standard fields of "Start Time" and "End Time" in my calendar list. - Events show on the calendar just fine. - Would like to create additional fields called "Start Time 2" and "End Time 2" within the same record and have the event show multiple times on the calendar. - The recurrence functionality of sharepoint will not meet my needs because the pattern I need to use is not in one of the allowed choices. Thanks in advance, John

Powerpoint ppsx files open as read only in sharepoint with not option to edit

With Powerpoint 20007 in sharepoint(MOSS 2007) the PPSX files are opening in read only mode with no option to edit to be found. 2nd issue is ppsx files do not open on any persons computer as a show.  Is it possible to change this? How do I change this so I can edit the slides? Current "bad" solution is to save to local drive than upload them over the location  on sharepoint. Show wiki page library columns on wiki pages- SharePoint 2010

I created a wiki page library in SharePoint 2010 and added a few columns to the library. However, these columns do not show on the actual wiki pages as they did in SharePoint 2007. I looked through the library settings but didn't find anything to turn on this feature. Does anyone know how to do this or if this feature was even included in SharePoint 2010? Thanks.

Can not show image in Filter drop down menu in SPGridView - Sharepoint 2007

Hi, I can not show image in the filter drop down menu (at header) of SPGridView in Sharepoint 2007.  For example: I have 3 rows as "_layout/images/1.gif", "_layout/images/2.gif", "_layout/images/3.gif". When user click on the column's header, the SPGridView just displayed filter menu and it always displayed the text (_layout/images/1.gif) not an image as I expected. So please help me to solve this problem. Thanks a lot Dan

SharePoint 2007 + PowerPoint gives "Contacting the server for information" for a long time

I've never had this issue for but today all of a sudden I tried to open a PowerPoint document posted to a document library on our SharePoint 2007 site and it gave a message saying "Contacting the server for information" for a long time.  It eventually opened but not until after 5-10 minutes.  Does anyone know what might have caused this?  The file itself is pretty small, only 70KB, and as I said we haven't had this problem before.

Visual C++ Runtime Library error when opening documents in Powerpoint 2010 from Sharepoint link

I posted this question on the Office Powerpoint forum and did not get much response so thought I would try here.   Here is the link to that post  http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/pptshare/thread/36a58d07-b1ad-4935-a14e-086dae8cb786

I'm running Windows 7 with Office 2010.  We have a Sharepoint 2007 server.  Whenever I click a link from our Intranet site I get the error "this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the applications's support team for more information."  It asks if I want to open in safe mode and I say yes and it never opens.

During testing I also find that if I have a blank powerpoint .ppt file that I try to save to the same document library on the same site it works fine, but if I try to save a blank .pptx file to the site I get the same runtime error.

This does not happen on all powerpoint or office documents being opened from the Intranet.  If I boot to safe mode it works fine.    If I copy the files local they work fine.  Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks so much!!!

Sharepoint Search does not show in Add Reference, but it is in the GAC

When I try and add a reference to Microsoft.Sharepoint.Search.dll, it does not appear in the "Add Reference" dialog under the ".NET" tab.  I can browse to the file under program files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\12\isapi\microsoft.sharepoint.search.dll.  If I select it there it adds the assembly into the web.config, but it will not compile due to "Could not load file or assembly" error.

Why is the dll not in the .Net tab?  The sharepoint application is currently installed and running on the same server that I am trying to make the development changes on, so I believe that all should be working properly I just can't figure out why it can't find the file to compile.
