Is this possible? if so, how?

I am trying to create an infopath form for requesting time off. Once the request is approved I want the form to add the event to a calendar on sharepoint. I was able to do this using the article by S.Y.M. Wong-A-Ton at
http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2007/programmatically-add-item-sharepoint-calendar-infopath.htm. But I want the form to also add an item to a custom list that has the employees available time off stored on it. That way the form
automatically subtract the time entered on the infopath form from what is available on the custom list. I was able to do this using another article by

I can make both of these functions happen seperately but I need them to happen on the same Infopath form. I am using Infopath and MOSS 2007. I have tried to use 2 CAML receive data files and I treid to co
I have an InfoPath web-enabled form in MOSS 2007, that is integrated with a K2 blackpoint process for an approval workflow.
Once the form (a Purchase Order request form) has been approved in the K2 workflow process, I switch the form view to a "print-friendly" view for the requestor to view from the browser. However, now I need to go one step further with this scenario:
1) I need to somehow insert/embed an image with the scanned-in signature of the approver (likely stored in a SP doc library) at the signature line section of my form. Also, what are the security requirements for storing such images, but not granting
all users access to these (e.g. only services accounts that need to access this for embedding into the form, etc.)?
2) Then I need to convert this final "print-friendly" view of the form (with the signature image) to a PDF document so that I can store it in SharePoint (and email it to the requestor using K2's email event capabilities).
Can anyone help me with a solution to both of these requirement, or point me to some resources for this (even 3rd party components are open-game).
I've seen several posts regarding submitting to a list using and InfoPath form which I am successfully able to do in limited form. (only passing a basic date value) My environment: MOSS 2007 Enterprise w/SP2, InfoPath 2007, SPD 2007.
I'm basically trying to recreate a calendar form with the same data elements (and some additional ones for a specific business requirement) as the standard calendar newform.aspx form. (start time, end time broken down by date, hour, minute and All day event)
I need the form users to be able to select the date and if it is not an All day event...be able to select the hours and minutes just like on the newform.aspx. (date picker control for date and drop downs for hour and minute selection)
On submit I then need to create the list item with the appropriate data passed via a workflow.
My Start Time has a validation rule to not allow dates prior to the current date (and it can't blank) The End Time has a validation rule to not allow dates prior to what is specified as the Start Time value. (Also can't be blank) When I attempt to include
conditonal formatting to hide the hour and minute drop downs if 'All Day Event' is selected I get errors stating the fields can't be blank.
I also can't figure out how to pass the entire date/time values or the All Day Event to the list withou

Infopath cannot generate a form template for the sharepoint list
The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred on the server
Can anybody help me figure out what is causing this error?
