I'm having issues figuring out how to get my application set up properly so it will authentiate correctly.ÃÂ I need to be able to use windows authentication (all access is internal to the domain) so that the user's credentialsÃÂ will be used to access an external resource.ÃÂ I've looked at the dcomcnfg but am now sure what needs the access updated.ÃÂ The com object that I"m attempting to use isn't listed there so I'm guessing there is something else I need to update.ÃÂ The server is Win2k3.ÃÂ Here's the error from the event viewer and the error from the page:

I am adding an item to a list programatically. The credential under which the code runs has contribute permission to list. When the code is executed, it adds the item to the list with below exception. I guess, after adding the item to the list
it calls SetListProps method where it throws exception. Any one can help why it is? Because of this my code is not moving ahead as it breaks here because of this exception
Microsoft.SharePoint Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPGlobal.HandleUnauthorizedAccessException(UnauthorizedAccessException ex) at
Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequest.SetListProps(String bstrUrl, String bstrListName, Boolean bMigrate) at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPList.Update(Boolean bFromMigration) at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPList.Update()
However, if I give full control it works fine.
Also, with the same credential, a new item can be added to the list with out any issue from the front end.

Resolution Steps (thereÃÂ could be various causes for this error but this solution worked for me):
- Run Administrative Tools > Sharepoint Central Administration
- Go to Application Management > Sharepoint Site Management > Site Collection Administrations
- Check if your name (the person configuring sharepoint) is primary or secondary administration
I am new to SSIS and I am trying to run a script task, I have set up variables for username, password, etc in my script, but when I execute the task, it fails with the error System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception from
HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)).
Can anyone suggest anyway to remedy this issue.
I am developping a smo app that uses the Server.Events.SubscribeToEvents Method and actually a have a
Access Denied Error if I use it local and I have a Hresult: 0x80070005 Access Denied if I use it remotly.
Are there somebody who can help me with these items????
PD. I hope that you forgive my english.
I have a workflow that when started by a site collection admin, allows it to start. But if a user starts it they get access denied. I've set the user up with full access to the document library, tasks and workflow settings and still the same. If I then add
the user as a site collection admin all is well.
The workflow has been created using sharepoint designer.
I've tried everything I can think of, so any ideas welcome.
The workflow is a 1 step Approval workflow. I'd published it a few time and it worked just fine. I then made a change to an "Email task notification" step.
I get a dialog when I try to publish the workflow:
Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were saved but cannot be run.
(43, 3) Loading this assembly would produce a different grant set from other instances. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131401))
I tried the "Check for Errors" button and I get:
The workflow contains no errors.
Check for Error dialog
Anyone have any clues as to where I might start looking for clues? Nothing has been returned by the usual search engines...
I've just tried to create a brand new workflow and it's still giving me the above dialogs. :'(
Im having a isssue i have encountered before, however the fix seems to either have sliped my mind or the fix i thought should fix it seems to be having a issue as well.
I have created a workflow in SPD 2007 to manually start and update a list item, however before i can even get to the "start" page i get access denied with EVERY user except the Site collection administrator.
The fix i had: Check the workflow out in SPD and check back in, BUT im also getting a error with ANY File upon trying to check back in "Cannot perform this operation. the file is no longer checked out or has been deleted" BOTH are not true.
So any input would be greatly appreciated.
I am facing this error long back.. Please help me in this regards...

I am getting access denied: security exception when I tried to activate my custom timer job feature in sharepoint 2010. When I deployed thru visual studio, it activates it and works fine but when I deployed the same .wsp thru powershell and tried to activate
it I am getting the following error.
The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level
in the configuration file.

Please help me.
We have created a two level custom approval workflow on (an InfoPath) form library using SharePoint Designer (SPD) with first and second approver. The workflow works fine as long as the approver is in the Site Collection Administrators group. The approvers
who are not in the admin group can get to the custom Task form for approve/reject, but they can only view the form. When they click on the “Edit Item” button of the task list item, they receive “Access Denied” error. We have given these
approvers “Approve”, “Contribute” permissions on the Form library and even Full Control on the task form list (all items). Note: The users use their domain account and the error they are getting is: Access Denied, You are currently
signed as DomainName\LoginName, Sign in as a different user.
We have read through several forums and have found people having the same issue. We tried all of the suggestions described in the following links - but no success so far.
