Hi,
I'm trying to develop a web application using C# in which we have a document(softcopy) in the PC and after selecting the document and on clicking a button, scans the document on an installed scanner on the PC. i.e., on  a button-click, Scanner should be emulated and the document that is selected is to be read and scanned on the scanner. Can anyone help me in this regard?
Thanks in advance..

Antivirus #960013: Antivirus scanner timed out and CreateVariationLabelsList failed error messages

Hi,

We are experiecing a problem with a multiserver SP 2010 Server farm. It is setup as follows:

2 x WFE

2 x Application Servers

1 x SQL Server

We found, that with Forefront enabled, (default configuaration), users could not edit content or access pages for a publishing site easily (very slow, lots of timeouts etc). Also, administrative tasks (such as creating site collections and sites) failed repeatedly.

We tried increasing the length of timeouts for the antivirus settings in SCAW, but this had no effect.

Disabling AV completely resolves the problem.
Obviously, going forward, we need to have the AV functioning - hence this post.

Does anyone have any experience of this, and of finding a way to figure out the cause and fix it?

Looking through ULS logs reveals several entires of this type:<!-- [if gte mso 10]> <mce:style>

Capturing USB Barcode Scanner Return values

Hi

We are using USB barcode scanner to scan material barcode labels. These lables are from our vendors.

We does not have control over the label generation. We are using USB barcode scanner for scanning purpose. We want to capture USB barcode scanner output. Normally the scanner returns output in the place holder in which the cursor present.

But we do not put writable text box for the cursor. Instead of write allowable text box we want to put locked or readonly text box in the screen and want to capture scanner value.

How can we do?

Assume that our barcode scanner does not support serial ports.

Emulate external UART (USB ) Comport [Visual Studio VB .Net 4 WindowsForms ]

Hallo Entwickler,

Gruss

Rolf

Connect to SQL Server 2008 with Scanner on Windows CE 5

Hi all,

I have a server with SQL Server 2008 on it and a PC that are both in the same network. Now I want to connect my Scanner (HT680 Unitech) on my PC via USB and connect to the SQL Server but I get this error: General network error.  Check your network documentation.

It worked with my SQL Server 2008 on my PC but with the server is one bridge to far... Is it even possible to do this?

My connectionstring:"server=10.42.1.13,1433;database=dbname;User Id=user;Password=pass;Connection Timeout = 120;"

Thank you!
