logging file is created twice

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 17, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

I've created a logging provider with a textfile. The textfile is set dynamically with an expression.

For some reason the file is created twice. In my package i've a DFT and it seems that the second file is created at that moment.

Anyone ideas?

file upload in Create User Wizard Created User event with UpdatePanel Tag wont work?

In my Create User Wizard1 Created User Wizard Event, I am collecting extra information from text boxes and allowing

I have put the Submit button within an Update Panel Tag but since I have done this it does not work.

snp file retains format of default printer from which it was created

This seems to be the case: MS Access 2000/2003 generates a snp report via VBA (Windows 2000/XP is the general environment for the enterprise).  The report is emailed to another individual.  When the recipient tries to print the report the print options apparently force the print job into the printer's override tray as "Print to Heavy Paper"; thereby causing the printer to wait for a user to place paper into the override tray (the printer is in use by a number of users). This anomaly does not happen with snp reports sent from other users, only from the two who are using one particular printer as their default printer.  As this relates to a remote customer, I have not so far requested the [affecting] sender users try using a different printer.  Either way it causes someone to perform extra steps -- Sender: if the printer selection was to be changed each time a snp report is created; Recipient: each time they need to print the particular report they need to go into printer options and override the Heavy Paper issue by selecting letter paper (and always be alert that the particular report came from the two particular sender users -- whereas once the recipient user sends the print job, it's too late; they need to run over to the printer to insert paper into the override tray to avoid a backlog of printer jobs). The site's IS team has bee

Edit CSS path on file that is dynamically created by ASP.NET

Hi,I'm not very familiar with .NET so bear with me. The website is question is built in ASP.NET and is using Themes. The external CSS link is outputted on the .master page dynamically by ASP.NET (so I've been told), apparently it generates this code from any CSS file located in /App_Themes/The problem is I need the link to the CSS to begin with a "/" so it points to the root directory.Currently the syntax is: <link href="App_Themes/file/file.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" />And I need it to be <link href="/App_Themes/file/file.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" />Is there anyway I can achieve this?Much thanks,Nick

Upgrade Solution using a .wsp file created from a site template

Hello, I'm creating a new site template that I will need to move from my development to production server. I have saved the template as a .wsp file and installed it on my staging server without any problems. However, I know once the site goes into production that changes will occur and I will need to upgrade the site template. I have tried to make changes to my development site and save a new site template, and then move to my staging server and upgrade the existing solution using the below PowerShell command, but I get an error that the GUIDS are different and the solution cannot be upgraded. Command: Update-SPUserSolution -Identity MyTemplate v1.wsp -Site http://webapplication/site  -ToSolution MyTemplate v2.wsp Error: Update-SPUserSolution : Given solution cannot be upgraded to the provided ToSolution because the solutions have different Guids. Does anyone know how I would upgrade the solution when using a site template as the bases for the solution? Thanks, wm5

Get Date Created info for file before uploading?

I have a FileUpload control on my page. I would like to get hold of the "date created" information of the file before it is uploaded. (Obviously, when you upload the file, the uploaded/copied version has a new "date created", set to the time of when you actually uploaded the file. This is not what I want!)

Does anyone please have any suggestions?

MS SQL Server on WIN7 connection from PDF file created on LC ES2 - failed

So I created a PDF from in Adoble LifeCycle ES2, chose the right DSN and made sure the connections worked to the MS SQL server. SQL server was up and running and I couild log in. In the form, I was able to see and use all of the tables and fields to populate the forms just fine, saved it.

Issue: When launching the form, I get a 'Connection from Source (name) failed because the environment is not trusted'. And it does this for every connection. I tried several different DSN methods and while some connect in the Adobe form creation and I see the tables created in SQL Server, I cannot link to them to update. Funny part is, the data in the SQL database already there, does populate the form.

Am I missing something obvious?

Reference Dynamically Created JavaScript File

I would like to dynamically create, and reference, entirely different JavaScript files based on an id.  This is the route I've taken, and it appears to be working.  I guess I'm just curious if there's something obvious I'm missing, or if anybody has a better idea.

On the web page a reference points to what i'm calling a "javascript handler".

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://localhost:50869/JsHandler.ashx?Id=0001"></script>

I may eventually experiment with routing to make the reference look like this...

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://localhost:50869/js/0001"></script>

But that's besides the point.  Please keep in mind, the following example is very simple and could be accomplished in easier ways.  Its more of a proof of concept, and I will be creating completely different JS files, from begining to end, depending on the Id passed in.

So yeah basically the logic in my JavaScript handler looks like this

var Id = context.Request["Id"];
using (var sr = new StreamReader("/Forms/0001.js"))
                var chingy = E

Flat File Loading Problem -> Messed Up Delimiters and Error Logging Issue

Hey Everyone,

I have a Data-Flow task embedded in a Sequence Container (does not fail component on error) on the Control Flow panel of the SSIS designer.  This data flow task contains a connection to a Flat File Source -> A Data Transformation -> Into an OLE Db Destination.

The problem is that the Flat File isn't always delimited properly -> the client cannot be relied on to do this.

My question is when the delimiters are messed up, how can I capture the offending error row(s) from the Flat File Source?

What I've tried:
1) Set every column in the source flat file on error to: Redirect Row
2) Added a Script Transformation to pull the description and the record id out of the offending row
3) Added an Error file flat file destination to the end of the flow.

The package always fails on the Flat File Source and never Redirects the offending Row to the error output - I never see my onError Script Transformation go Green, Red, or Yellow - SSIS doesn't let it get there.

I'm really new to SSIS so sorry if this is a super basic question.

Here is the Error Text:

[Source - InventTable_csv [1]] Error: The column delimiter for column "RECID" was not found.
[Source - InventTable_csv [1]] Error: An error occurred while processing file "C:\------InventTable.csv" on data row 15228.

Problem while running C#.Net Exe created by setup file for Target platform x86

I created an C# exe which was targeting to "Any CPU". I ran into an issue while using Microsoft.Jet.Oledb.4.0 driver on win7 64 bit os. I found through some site that changing the target platfrom from "Any CPU" to "x86" will fix the issue.

My dev environment is VS2008, Win7 32 bit OS. I changed the target platfrom from "Any CPU" to "x86" and copied all the exe's and dll's to the test machine having win7 64 bit OS to test the app's functinality. It worked all fine there on test machine.

But the PROBELM AROSE today, when i got the seutp file from my installer team and tested it on the win7 64 bit OS machine and found the message "The Microsoft.Jet.Oledb.4.0 provider is not registered on the local machine." I re-ran the application by copying the exe's and dll's to the test machine, but there was no problem.

Please correct me if i am wrong.. "I am suspecting it to the issue while the setup file is created..."

Our installer team is not aware of the target platfrom change. Is it a problem which we need to fix with our installer?

Do we need to change/configure the installer in a way so that the exe installed by setup file can be run under target platform x86?
