How to highlight datagrid or GridView row on mouse over?

This article will show how you can Ajax with GridView to display popup messages when mouse moves over certain column. In the demo project I have added first column as an image column with a help icon in it. This kind of implements a feature that if you want more information about the row you can move mouse over this icon, a asynchronous request is sent to server for data about that row and when call returns the returned message is show as a popup message.

Windows 2000 Loader: What Goes On Inside Windows 2000: Solving the Mysteries of the Loader

DLLs are a cornerstone of the Windows operating system. Every day they quietly perform their magic, while programmers take them for granted. But for anyone who's ever stopped to think about how the DLLs on their system are loaded by the operating system, the whole process can seem like a great mystery. This article explores DLL loading and exposes what really goes on inside the Windows 2000 loader. Knowing how DLLs are loaded and where, and how the loader keeps track of them really comes in handy when debugging your applications. Here that process is explained in detail.

Highlight gridview row on mouse hover in asp.net

The article Highlight gridview row on mouse hover in asp.net was added by uniquesaiful on Sunday, June 06, 2010.

Gridview control is a customizable and flexible control used to display data in tabular format. It has some nice features. But lacks of some client side features that makes web users happy. We can easily add these features with few lines of code. For

Buttons with Mouse-Over Behaviors - Redux

I recently posted some CSS and HTML snippets for a buttons collection I was using for a Menu style UI Scott Koon from www.LazyCoder.com posted a comment with a better way (thanks Scott). This way I don't have to set the CSS Class for each button. Just contain them in a div. Here is the [...] Read More......(read more)

How to capture ReportViewer Mouse Events

I have a ReportViewer which I'm pulling into a C# WPF project, and would like to be able to capture the row a user clicks on in the reportViewer, but have had no success tapping into the mouse event handlers.   Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

This MSDN link seems to imply that ReportViewer(winforms) supports mouse click events such as Click, DoubleClick..etc.  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.reporting.winforms.reportviewer_events.aspx, but I've not had any luck.

If mouse events are not currently supported, does anyone know when they will be, and whether properties such as SelectedItem or SelectedIndex would also be exposed?

Thanks for the help.

SendInput fails to control mouse in x64

I am currently working on a project in which I'm trying to make a program which can input mouse movements to click and drag objects. I've imported user32.dll and created my inputs exactly as the help info and pinvoke.net instruct so as to be able to send mouse inputs. Nevertheless, whenever I implement the SendInput function, it always returns that it successfully inserted 0 events into the keyboard and mouse input stream and when I run GetLastError, it gives me error 1400 INVALID_WINDOW_HANDLE. I've tried the same code on two different systems, both running in x64. One is XP and the other is Windows 7. Neither works. If you're interested in the code, it's basically a 64-bit version of Johnny Chung Lee's Wiimote Whiteboard program. I've made a few modifications, but the main gruntwork of the program is the same as his original. His stuff can be found here: http://johnnylee.net/projects/wii/

Move focus while mouse down?

Hi All I've a button with a adoner containing a scrollbar, when the user click and hold the button for 2 seconds the adoner becomes visible, this works like a charme, and the adoner become invisible when the user release the mouse button again. My problem is, I don't know how to move the mouse focus from my button to the scrollbar, to make it scroll while the mouse still is down. In other words how do I move over a scrollbar while the mouse button is down, and then the scrollbar gets the focus and begin to scroll to the mouse pos. Please help me. Spandy

A layout, mouse selection, ListView problem/question

I'm having a problem with a particular layout scenario, and how it interacts with a left mouse click in certain situations. I have 3 rows in a Grid.  The first is a ListView (Master), with the Row Height set to '*'. It's ItemSource is bound to a collection in a ViewModel, and its SelectedItem is bound to a value in the ViewModel.  When the SelectedItem is null, it should take up its entire container (the other 2 rows are invisible). The second row is the GridSplitter.  It's visibility is bound to a value in the ViewModel.  It's only visible when the SelectedItem in the Master ListView is not null.  It's GridRow height is set to Auto, and it's height is explicitly set to 5 (via a style). The third row is a sub-ListView that shows Detail data for the Master SelectedItem in the top ListView.  It's GridRow Height is set to zero by default, and if an item is selected in the Master ListView, it should become visible and have a set height (400 to start, via a binding on the Height of the row). The desired effect is that when an item is selected in the Master ListView, the Detail ListView becomes visible and the GridSplitter allows you to resize the top and bottom as needed.  If necessary, the ScrollBars become visible in the Master ListView to show any items that are now obscured by the Detail ListView (via the automatic scrolling featur

Context Menu And Mouse Click Issue

Hello. I am trying to show a context menu at runtime on MouseRightButtonUp, while over a selected image. I also have left mouse button events set up for the selected image. For some reason I cannot get the context menu to show unless I click the left mouse button and while it is held down click the right mouse button and keep it down while I release the left mouse button, followed by releasing the right mouse button. I tested the MouseRightButtonUp event using a simple MessageBox and did not have any problems; it worked as expected when the right mouse button was released. Here is the code: //add behavior for right mouse on this image. img.MouseRightButtonUp += (sender, e) => { //Create Context Menu ContextMenu menu = new ContextMenu(); //img is an Image img.ContextMenu = menu; //Add context menu item MenuItem photoNewWindow = new MenuItem(); photoNewWindow.Header = "Open Original Image"; photoNewWindow.Click += OpenOriginal; //Add menu items to context menu menu.Items.Add(photoNewWindow); //change the current image currentImage = img; }; // add behavior for mouse click on this image. img.MouseLeftButtonUp += (sender, e) => { // left mouse stuff }; Thanks!

Can't select combobox item with mouse

I have a bizarre issue with my wpf 3.5 app that I just wrote. One of the computers we installed it on won't allow the user to select an item from the combobox with the mouse. The mouse can make the drop down appear like normal, but when the mouse hovers over the items they are not highlighted and clicking on one closes the drop down but doesn't select the item. This is the default combobox with no style and only the margin, itemssource and selecteditem properties set. I tried other programs that have comboboxes (IE7, Excel, a VB6 app) and all of them work just fine. We have this program installed on numerous computers throughout our company and everyone else's is working correctly. I tried uninstalling the program and the .NET framework then reinstalling. I don't know what else to try.
