Replication Topology: Server A(pub)---->Server B(distributor)-----> Server C(subscriber)(Re-publisher)------->Server B(distributor)-------> Server D(subscriber)
1. Need to re-initialize Subscription once every weekend. This subscription is being re-Published.
I need to Uncheck all articles from republished database(subscription db before applying snapshot). I plan on running this as a Script under the Before Applying Snapshot. Please advise how this can be achieved.
1.Tried reinitialising the pub(server A) , replication had errors, could not delete table on subscriber as it was being used in replication
2.Tried setting table properties and setting action if name is in use : to keep existing object unchanged..still received repl errors.
3.Finally, the removing the tables from Republication seemed to solve the problem. Please advise. thanks.
I have created a Blog site using SharePoint Foundation 2010 , I made allow anonymous access to this site

I have also allowed content approval for the Comment Submitted by the anonymous user
but the Problem is that Anonymous user can see all the Comment for that particular post before approved.
Please help for this...
While executing stsadm command for pre-upgrade on WSS 3.0, I get an error “Failed : Pending upgrade operation detected in this farm“.
I ran psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait successfully, but still get the error above. How do I get rid of this error?
I've installed all the prerequisites just fine, but every time I run the main installation program it tells me:
"Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):
A system restart from a previous installation or update is pending. Restart your computer and run setup to continue."
After restarting, and doing nothing else, I run the setup again to get the same result. There are no pending restarts, Server Manager itself normally complains if there is a restart pending, so I don't know where it is getting this from.
THe next thing I will try is to give it a little more RAM in case it makes a difference; the virtual machine currently has 4GB overall and has a few other minor roles as well. But it would make sense for the installation program to say that instead of telling me it's a reboot.
I'm failing the stsadm -o preupgradecheck process with the following: (preparing for MOSS 2007 to SPS 2010 upgrade).
Failed : Pending upgrade operation detected in this farm
Pending upgrade is detected on this farm. Either upgrade has not been run, or has failed after a recent update of the SharePoint software.
Run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard to finish the pending upgrade. For more information about this rule, see KB article 954775 in the rule article

I've read several different replication scenarios and technologies native to SQL Server (we are talking about SQL Server 2005) but have some questions.
I have a project to integrate/replicate two network-separated SQL Server 2005 databases. Each database resides in a physically separate location at different companies. They will not have a shared network environment and will not allow direct
connection between the two databases.
We need to keep each database in sync as far as customer records. Near real time is preferable. There is not master. One could add/delete/modify a customer record in one database and it needs to reflect in the other database.
The closest we could get for connectivity architecture looks like this:
1. Each database is on the separate internal networks for each company.
2. Each organization HAS agreed to setup a DMZ on their sides specifically for this exchange. Each respective DMZ will be able to communicate with their own internal SQL Server and have a fiber connect directly connecting each organization's
SO.... is there a good way to replicate from InternalSQL_1 - DMZ1 - DMZ2 - InternalSQL_2 near real time?
What would your recommendation be? Pretty sure I'd setup both internal InternalSQL as Pub/Sub/Dist but I'm solici
I have a problem instaling .Net 4 the installer complains about the reboot pending on my machine.
Multiple reboots are not helping , i've also searched registry for PendingFileRenameOperations without any match.
Any ideas what to do ?
Thanks in advance,
Setup cannot continue because a previous installation requires your computer to be restarted. Please restart your computer and rerun Setup.
I'm getting ready to launch an intranet site. It is using the publishing infrastructure. In an effort to ensure that all pages and docs are ready to go, I looked at the Pending Approval and the Draft Documents reports. They are both showing items that
have been approved. In fact the list of draft docs, shows the same doc multiple times (with different modified dates). On the pending approval report, I even selected them all and approved them, but some remained in the list. When I select these
again and attempt to approve them, Approve is not available from the Actions drop down list.
Can anyone advise how I can get this all cleaned up and ready to go? If something is "wrong" here, any ideas why? I will say that I turned off publishing once and turned it back on because I got sick of the approvals while I was creating the pages
and loading docs into libraries.
In SharePoint Designer I have made changes to a Custom Master file and I am trying to save it but I keep getting the warning "There are pending updates to one or more ASP.NET controls on the page, which will not be saved. Continue?" and there is only a "Yes" and a "No" button.
There are no pending updates on the master fileÃÂ but I am not able to save the changes to my master page.ÃÂ I have saved this same page a number of times previously with no problems but not with my current changes (background color for a flyout menu).
I have not been able to find any description or resolution for this warning.ÃÂ Does anyone know why I am seeing this warning or how to get around it?
I have a distribution job that is failing on the first step : "Distribution Agent startup message"
The error in the job history is ...
Date 5/19/2011 12:30:01 AM
Log Job History (DIST MyPub)
Step ID 1
Job Name DIST MyPub
Step Name Distribution Agent startup message.
Sql Severity 16
Sql Message ID 2560
Operator Net sent
Retries Attempted 0
Executed as user:MyDomain\MyUser. Parameter 2 is incorrect for this DBCC statement. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 2560). The step failed
Parameter 2 is setting the Agent ID as ...
sp_MSadd_distribution_history @perfmon_increment = 0, @agent_id = 54, @runstatus = 1,
@comments = 'Starting agent.'
Obviously the Agent ID being passed is wrong.
How do I find the correct Agent ID for this particular distribution job so that I can change the "54" value with the correct Agent ID value?
