Conflicts, missing data

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 15, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

I'm getting strange conflicts in the conflict viewer.  They look like this:

A row insert at 'ServerA' could not be propagated to 'ServerB'. This failure can be caused by a constraint violation.  The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "fk_invoice_item". The conflict occurred in database "DB1", table "dbo.invoice", column 'invoice_id'.

I am very confused here.  Does replication send the changes in the right order?

Workflow data missing from Document Library

Hi, We have this strange situation where the workflow status is missing from document library views. Here is the situation: I have a Document Library with 3 OOTB approval workflows configured to start manually. Process is that user uploads a doc, start the first workflow, once it gets completed starts the second, and so forth. Now if I check the All Documents view of this Document Library, I can see these three workflows have 3 columns and that shows the status of the workflow - say "In progress", "Completed" etc. Now our users who use this document library and workflow complains that they cannot see these status of the workflow after some days. If a workflow is completed and status shows completed there, but after some days that column is blank. I've checked the modified data for the documents and this issue according to the user happens to documents that was uploaded 2 weeks back too, which means this doesn't happen to old document only. This document library has Major and Minor versioning enabled. Why does this happen, does SharePoint remove data for completed workflows? I checked the document's workflow page and its empty; nothing under running workflows and nothing under completed workflows. In Doc Library settings - Workflow settings I could not find an option View Workflow reports. That page has the following details: Use this page to view or

Missing Data From Hidden Layout Controls

We have several reports written in SSRS 2005 which use multiple datasets.  On the layout tab, we have a table which is hidden that is used to load an array of values from one dataset by calling a method in the code block.  The main table which displays the data uses another dataset, but it also calls a second method in the code block to search the array loaded by the hidden table and look up values matching on a key field.  In SSRS 2005, this works fine presumably because we could always depend on the hidden table being generated first.  However, when we converted to SSRS 2008 R2, this no longer works.  Is there a workaround available?

System.Data.SqlServerCe Missing in \.NETFramework\v4.0

I am trying to install SQL Compact Edition on Windows 7 desktop Home Edition.  I am using visual studio C# 2010 Express Edition and have SQL Express 2008

When I add "using System.Data.SqlServerCe", SqlCeConnection, isn't referenced.  I cannot find/add System.Data.SqlServerCe as a .NET reference.  When I navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.0.  SqlServerCe isn't present.  However, I can find the necessary file within

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v4.0\Private

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v4.0\Private\x86

When I add a reference to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v4.0\Private\System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll, SqlCeConnection, turns blue and is refereced.  But wh

Strange Calendar issue - Missing Data, only on last day of month

Hi. I'm using Sharepoint 2007 and we're experiencing a strange issue. In the Month view, if I look at the month of September, September 30th appears to have 15 items.  Clicking on the date displays these 15 items, but there should be considerably more. The entire day's schedule stops at 6:30 am. If I view the month of October, and look at the September 30th date, it indicates that there are 36 items, which is the correct number.  This pattern happens regardless of which month I'm looking at. It's always the last day of the month affected. The number of missing items varies from month to month, generally around 20 items. I'm baffled, and haven't got a clue how to attempt to troubleshoot this issue.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to attempt to resolve this!

Missing options on link data sources wizard

First of all I have 2 lists ListA and ListB, ListB is linked to ListA by its ID column and not by a lookup field.

Now, on SPD2007 I just display the data sources library, and choose the create new linked sources option, but in the 2010 version, can't seem to find this option directly, just when I'm using  or have inserted a data source of some sort.

The problem is that when I get to the wizard ( link data sources wizard) I choose both lists, choose to join them, and... that's it!!!! I don't get to choose the filter columns or anything, the only options are 'Back' and 'Finish', so needless to say that I don't get what I want, 'cause it only appears the word 'row' on the child list in the sources library.

I've been serching the web, and some people have posted this same question with no answers found. then I searched this forum, and couldn't find this topic either, so maybe it's just some especific behavior regarding bad installation or something, or its just a Beta problem. please let me know

Let's Finish This

SharePoint 2010 External Content Type and InfoPath 2010 - Numeric data type fields missing in InfoPa

Connected SQL data table to SP 2010 ECT from SQL table.  The SQL table has several fields that have a type of "numeric(3,0)".  The SP 2010 list shows all fields form SQL.  When we open up InfoPath Designer and reference the SP List data (from SQL) all of our numer fields are missing from the available fields list.

I amd going to try another data type but that hardly feels like a solution.  If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

Business Data Item Builder Missing "Connections" menu option.

On the Business Data Item Builder menu there is typically an option that says "Connections" and then you can connect the item builder to a Business Data Item Web Part. Our Business Data Item Web part is set up properly and our ADF file (and query string) is unchanged, but the Connections option has disappeared. Any help or insight into this issue is much appreciated.

Schema missing from Data Source definition

I am attempting to use a view from a SQL Server database in a data grid on my SP10 site. I set up the External Content Type, created the Data View... The data source reported a "non-specific error" from the server. Went back to my Data Source definition and noticed something: In the Data Source Properties window, the view's schema is missing. That is, the table shows "Table: .ViewName" instead of "Table: Schema.ViewName".

So I suspect this is the problem. However, how do I fix this? The configuration wizard shows all of the tables in the database, but omits the schema names. There is no apparent way to make sure that the schema names appear.

Reporting Services - Missing Data on Reports

I have a report that uses 3 different datasets to populate different parts of the RDL file.  All datasets are set up to use the same credentials.  The report is usually run via the Data Driven Subscriptions.

When you run the report manually for an individual site, all data on the report is populated and the report exports to PDF as expected.  However, when you run the report via the subscription in report Manager, only part of the data is actually populated.

Looking more closely, it only seems to be running one of the datasets.

I don't think this is a permissions or security issue as if it was, no data would be returned at all.

Any ideas please?

Thank you.

VS2010 Professional Toolbox tab "Data" Chart is missing

I installed VS2010 professional on on a clean Windows 7 laptop.

I opened VS2010 and selected an existing Framework 3.5 project solution that I knew used charting. The conversion wizard seemed OK. However, on the Toolbox under the Data tab, there is no entry for "Chart" as several sources suggest this where it should be. There is also an error message objecting to "Imports System.Windows.Forms.DataVisulaization.Charting". Can anyone please tell me what I have to do to put this right? Is it a missing dll?

Missing column data in my dbo, but the URL is showing in the Meta SRC URI column.

I'm having a problem with my Body1 description column showing up.  My record number is 6858, and only 5857 will load up.  I cut the size down to 5,000 and it worked completely.  Do you have any ideas?  Do I need to increase some size settings?

SharePoint usage reporting - missing data from ANLHit

Hi All,

On our MOSS 2007 farm, knowing about the logging tables for usage reporting which reside in the above table in the SSP database only stores a rolling 31 days worth of data, we have a SQL process that archives this data, ultimatly for reporting in SSAS. I've had a recent query from a business user that has prompted some investigation - there seems to be large chunks of data missing from ANLHist. Taking myself as an example, I know I use our SharePoint platform every working day, and there are others around me that do too, but the reporting does not reflect this - there are large gaps in the data.

My investigations have lead me to Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Logs, where one would expect to see folder for every site collection. However on one of our two WFEs, there are several missing. It's my understanding that a timer job takes the '00.log' file(s) from this location to populate the ANLHit table.

I've done as much investigation as I am aware of and have drawn blanks, is anyone able to assist in this matter and suggest what the issue may be? I'm not sure if the missing folders are a red herring?

Thanks in advance.
