I have an issue that I feel must be something really dumb on my part but this is my first time working w/ SQL Server so I'm a newb. My issue is that anyone other than an admin on the box SSRS is running on recieves an authentication popup when trying
to access the reports server. If you type in the username/pass it'll just ask for it 3 times and then go to a blank white page. If add that user as an admin to the box the issue goes away.
I'm using SQL Server 2008 SP2 Developer running on Windows XP SP3. Trying to access SSRS through IE8. Service Account is "Local System".
I've tried the following to no avail: changing the service account to Network, removing RSWindowsNegotiate from the reportserver.config file. I don't believe the link here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/lukaszp/archive/2008/03/26/solving-the-reporting-services-login-issue-in-the-february-ctp-of-sql-server-2008.aspx applies because admins get through just fine, it's anyone who isn't an admin who gets the authentication popup.
Adding the user specifically in the Home->Properties->Security section of the server doesn't work either.
Any ideas would be greatly
