Hello, I have a calendar control that will have events displayed within each cell.
I want to use a pre formatted gridview and simply bind the gridview with a dataset dynamically and display it within the cell of the specified day.
Is there a way to do that or do I have to dynamically build a gridview for every day that there is an event?
So here is the template gridview and datasource:
I have a database linked to a calendar. I had a peice of code that retrieved dates from a database and populated the calendar. I wanted to tidy up my code using stored procedures (they seem neater & i assume there's a benefit somewhere). so i came up with this, however it's not working. The calendar displays, but it's not being populated with the database entries. The SqlCommand & SqlParameter I have working elsewhere in my code; as with the SqlDataAdapter (which also worked before i tried to conver to a stored procedure!) but combining these three (SqlCommand, SqlParameter & SqlDataAdapter) seem to be causing me problems.
It's probably something stupid but if someone could take a look and point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful.Cheers,Jim
Public Sub dbConnection()
dbConnString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("connString").ConnectionString
sqlConn = New SqlConnection(dbConnString)
Public Sub EquipmentDDLSelection()
Dim dbCMD As New SqlCommand("PopulateCalendar", sqlConn)
dbCMD.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure
Dim parameterBookedEvents As New SqlParameter("@bookedEvents", SqlDbType.VarChar, 50)
I have a requirement to use the MOSS 2007 Calendar Control - month view is to apply a custom css to have a look and feel as per our requirements.
We tried applying the custom css to the MOSS 2007 calendar control - month view, it does take the custom css and applies it, but when i click on any date and come back to the calendar control, it changes the CSS of the MOSS calendar control back to the default
Let me know if anyone has any suggestion on how to customize the calendar control for css for our intranet application.
Your response would be highly appreciated.
I have a reportviewer on a page which is grabbing a report from a report server. the page is basically just a dropdownlist and a reportviewer control. The problem I have is that in the report the user have to provide the dates for teh report. The reportviewer automatically adds the textbox for the date entry and a calendar icon in front of it so the user can select the date. if I look at this page in FireFox, when you click on the calendar button created by the reportviewer, the calendar control show up momentrily and dispappears. If you look at the same page in IE 7.0 nothing happens other than the page appears to be submitted. Does any body have any ideas on how to go about troubleshooting this bug?
in SP 2007's calendar, in calendar view, the full title is displayed. It 2010, only a partial of the title is being displayed (which is not suitable if you want to show the menu!!!)
I tried to modify it though SPD 2010, yet in SPD is shows it correctly! Actually, it shows it in 2007-mode appearance - yes, it's weird and crippy, I know...
Any ideas of what to do?
How can I show a custom error message in CreateUserWizard ErrorMessage Control?
I check some custom rules in CreateUserWizard CreatingUser event and if not passed I want to show an error message in CreateUserWizard ErrorMessage control. I tried to set Text property of ErrorMessage control and set the Visible property to true but didn't work. I use template in CreateUserWizard.
I followed this tutorial http://www.123aspx.com/redir.aspx?res=37582 to create a Calendar as a diary. The tutorial uses an sql database, but I need to use an MSAcess database instead due to the ISP I'm with.
Anyway, it all seems to work with MSAccess apart from one bit which I cannot get to work.
The page loads with a calendar showing todays date plus a date that has a record that exists in the DB. When I click on the date a textbox appears with the data. If I change the data and click the update button it does update the database fine.
The problem is with the add button, it does nothing and it only shows up if I click on a date with data in.
If I click on a date that has no data attached no text box appears for me to add data to.
Like I say it's almost there.
I'm really stuck with this one so I just wondered if someone could help me out here and let me know if I'm missing something.
very much appreciated
