JBOSS webservice WCF client interop issues

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 15, 2010    Points: 0   Category :WCF

i'm working to integrate those technologies but i'm having some serious issues to do so.

Ive try everything to make this work but can't figure it out how to make it work.

I already started a post http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wcf/thread/8ddeee00-8d81-4071-a934-2be9bb2669a2 about some problem it came out.

The thing is that i already search all over google and found nothing that can really help me.

I would need some advice from someone who knows JBOSS too, the solutions i found apply to IIS mostly ... but is not my case.

Any help would be appreciated.

WCF MTOM Client calling Java Webservice - Issues with File attachment Content ID encoded in SOAP mes

Hello,I'm having difficulty calling a MTOM enabled Java based web service that accepts an file as input..NET appeats to be generating a SOAP message where the reference to the binary part of the message is an encoded url.For Example:  <inc:Include href="cid:http%3A%2F%2Ftempuri.org%2F1%2F634000265217257868" xmlns:inc="http://www.w3.org/2004/08/xop/include"/>In fact, the Content ID defined in the SOAP message, looks nothing like the actual Content ID of the actual message part.Content-ID: <http://tempuri.org/1/634000265217257868=2787915398744@soapui.org>The service is invoked and executed on the java webserver...but the data element appears to be null.I do not believe the java web server understands the reference in the SOAP message because it is encoded....Or...perhaps it's because the Content-ID attribute has extract stuff on it.I'm working with a custom MTOM encoder in WCF....is there a way to generate your own Content ID or tell .NET not to encode the url?My frustration with .NET has reached an all new level with this project...Any help would be greatly appreciated.Here the SOAP message that is being generated:<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:ns="http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/cmis/messaging/200901" xmlns:ns1="http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/cmis/core/200901&q

Having issues with the webservice to write file

Is there anything extra I have to do with the webservice. If the aspx page with the upload control writes to the same "uploads" folder, then it works fine. Currently, only the asp.net account is permitted to write to that directory. When the webservice was introduced in it's place, I'm seeing permission issue stating the "Unauthorized" message. What's working: - User goes to .aspx page and use the upload control to upload the file What's not working - User goes to a fat client, and sends the file in a byte array to the webservice - It works if the webservice is on the same computer, but, fails if the fat client is run on a different computer Best Regards, Rajib Bahar http://www.rajib-bahar.com | http://www.linkedin.com/in/rajibb | http://www.twitter.com/rajib2k5

WCF client Java interop - No Response Headers = MessageSecurityEx

I am using a WCF client to communicate with a Websphere hosted web service.  The service requires my message to be signed, but not encrypted.  This is being done and works as expected.  I can see in my trace logs that I get a valid response back from the service.  However, it isn't making past the proxy becuase of the following error: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException: Security processor was un able to find a security header in the message. This might be because the message  is an unsecured fault or because there is a binding mismatch between the commun icating parties.   This can occur if the service is configured for security and the client is not using security. I've edited the binding to remove the timestamp and have verified that it is not being sent, however, I still get this error.   Here's what the header of my request looks like: <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:u="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd"> <s:Header> <ActivityId CorrelationId="b0d474df-8b00-4c30-bd05-d1e478529ce4" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2004/09/ServiceModel/Diagnostics">cb8e51de-83b4-4bfe-bf1c-fd92ce86f557</ActivityId> <o:Security s:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:o="http://

WCF client consuming oracle webservice is inconsistently works

Hi, In my WCF client application, I am consuming the Oracle  webservices. Strangely this wcf client functioning inconsistently. That means sometime, it does not find the service endpoint and some times it does. Where the code and environment are absolutely same in both the cases. But when I use web services, I see the code works consistently. There is no endpoint listening at the address http://<serviceurl> Does any one faced similar issue with WCF? Thanks!

Client (Excel) crashes on exit with C# Interop Server (in-proc)

Hello, I'm having a generic problem understanding how to free resources when writing .net COM Servers (using CCW). Excel 2007 VBA is my client in this case. I believe it to be a problem that resources aren't immediately freed and on exit of Excel, a crash occurs which is probably due to invalid resources. The code server code I have is as follows: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Text; using System.Runtime.InteropServices; using System.Windows.Forms; using System.Threading; using System.Diagnostics; namespace myclass { [Guid("84F0D8F6-AF73-43fe-92D3-C7264EDBDB18")] [ComVisible(true)] public interface IProgress { [DispId(1)] void Show(); [DispId(7)] void Finished(bool WaitOnOk); } [Guid("1195C591-8592-4533-BFFD-C383B33B2976"), InterfaceType(ComInterfaceType.InterfaceIsIDispatch)] [ComVisible(true)] public interface IProgressEvents { } [Guid("9773AD88-E17C-4c27-94AE-BA3FC330F162"), ClassInterface(ClassInterfaceType.None), ComSourceInterfaces(typeof(IProgressEvents))] [ComVisible(true)] public class Progress : IProgress { System.Diagnostics.BooleanSwitch trace = null; System.IO.FileStream log = null; private bool m_InitForm = false; public Progress() { log = System.IO.File.Create(@"c:\hbasElvis.txt"); Trace.Listeners.A

Add Cookies to a webservice client request

I have an HttpModuke that performs authentication sitting in front of a webservice.  Using SOAP and WS-S I can capture the client's credentials and mask them by wrapping the request input stream to prevent the service provider from discovering the values.  Accessing the same service using HTTP GET/POST or any REST invocation is proving a problem.

My 1st attempt was to use proprietary HTTP Headers which allow the client to send the credentials but I cannot mask or remove them in the HttpModule ("PlatformNotSupportedException").  My next thought was to have the client add userid and password values in the HttpWebRequest.CookieContainer object.  The HttpContext.Current.Request.Cookies property arrives at the HttpModule empty.  I have set the service's web.config file to "cookieless = false" but no success.  I'm still not sure, even if I can get the cookies to arrive, whether I can remove them before allowing the service to process the message.  Has anyone dealt with this, or something similar, in the past?  Am I missing some setting on the client side?  Thanks in advance for any help available!

Issues with COM Interop

Currently facing an unusual issue. I have a .NET application accessing COM+ dlls which are configured as Server Library via Interop. They are VC++ dlls. We are explicitly calling Marshal.Releasecomobject wherever we are using COM object.

Whenever we exit the application and log off from the server and log in and start the app, the application hangs. Only when we kill the dllhost.exe the app starts working again.

Currently we have the COM+ components configured with admin user account as localsystem account also gave us similar problems. Not sure what needs to be done. Would appreciate if anyone can throw some light.

How can I resolve issues implementing Logout with WPF and Client Application Services?

I have recently been prototyping an application using WPF and Client Application Services.  I am trying to use all three features of the Client Application Services : Forms Authenticiation, Role Security, and Client Profile.  I have managed to get everything working, but I feel like my solution is a kludge and want a better way.

For the discussion assume the following:

I have two WPF windows:

The first window is my main Application form.  It has two buttons "Login" and "Check Thread Principal"

The second window is a login form which implements the IClientFormsAuthenticationCredentialsProvider interface to use the GetCredentials method to return a new ClientFormsAuthenticationCredentials object with the entered username and password.

The application starts, the Main Window is loaded and the user clicks the login button.  In the button click event, a call is made to System.Web.Security.Membership.ValidateUser(String.Empty, String.Empty).  This causes the GetCredentials method in my login form to be called which in turns shows the login window.  The code in the button click event of the main window waits until the user enters information in the login window.

Once the user submits the login information, the login form closes, the flow of execution is returned to the main window login cl

JBOSS WS WCF Client - Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS with authority 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xx

Hi all,

Ive been asking a lot of questions the last weeks but nothing came up.

I have a webservice developed in Java and hosted in JBOSS.

The current scenario is that the service should be running in a two way certificate, means that the server has a certificate and the client has one too.

I have already installed the two certs in the console (mmc), i see the certs so that should be ok.

After several test i came to this situation. The certs are ok, in debug mode i see that .NET finds those.

The service is hosted in a pc that is in our intranet.

Here is my code.

ServiceRef.ServiceClient servicioJboss = new ServiceRef.ServiceClient();

ServiceRef.methodResponse resp = new ServiceRef.methodResponse();

ServiceRef.method metodo = new ServiceRef.method();

metodo.arg0 = 1;

metodo.arg1 = 1402251;

metodo.arg0Specified = true;

metodo.arg1Specified = true;

SharePoint 2010 site using FQDN and Silverlight Client object model issues

I am working a FQDN installation of SP2010 site and I am having touble connecting to it from Silverlight, when my Silverlight app is running outside that SP2010.
Just to include the note, that if I use the CLR client object model, from a Console Application, I am able to connect to the FQDN SP 2010 site, and get all data I need. Using the CLR and monitoring with fiddler there are two consequent requests made: first GET to http://my_sp2010_site_fqdn/_vti_bin/sites.asmx, then POST to http://my_sp2010_site_fqdn/_vti_bin/client.svc/ProcessQuery and Everything works fine.
However when it comes to the Silverlight Client I have troubles.
If I put my silverlight application in a web part inside my site, it works. If I put it on a regular site, outside SP - it does not work and following behavior is observed:

There is initial request sent to
but there is no consequent request to http://my_sp2010_site_fqdn/_vti_bin/client.svc
That second request does not even show up in fiddler.

Use jQuery and ASP.NET AJAX to build a client side Repeater

By sending only data to the client, you can profoundly reduce the size of what you send and see a substantial increase in performance. You also allow yourself the ability to easily add features like light-weight sorting and paging on the client. This can not only improve your users' experience, but reduce server load and bandwidth requirements.

Client Side Gridview Pagination using JQuery

To that end, I'm going to walk you through these four steps to effectively implementing a client side Repeater, using ASP.NET AJAX and jQuery:
