Pass string to Javascript function from code-behind...

I'm trying to send a error message to a javascript function from code-behind, but it's not working. When the javascript is executed the output error is: [object Object]

Here's my Javascript:

function Error(error)
            document.getElementById("<%= errorText.ClientID %>").innerText = error;

And my C#:

        textError = "This is not working!!!";

        ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(Page, this.GetType(), "Error", "javascript:Error('" + textError + "');", true);

Even if i pass the string instead of the 'textError' variable i still get the same error :(

Can anyone help me?

Public Shared function doubt????

I am using VB.net/ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000 for a web application.

For populating the dropdowns, I wrote a Public Shared function LoadDDL(), in which I pass the dataset and dropdown name to set.

I have my doubts that this function will produce unexpected results for concurrent users. And will mix the results among sessions because it is a Shared function.

I am confused here. Is it the right way to go?

Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Pass XSL "Currently Selected" Value via Query String

Hi, I have a DVWP with an ID column, that's connected to other webparts on the page to filter their values accordingly.   I also have a "Print" button that opens a custom ASP page that's essentially a print-friendly single item data view.  How do I pass the "selected item" value to the URL when a user hits the print button? I've already set up the "ID" parameter and filters on the target page, just need to know how to get the value info from the list ID field inserted into the URL upon button click.  Thanks in advance

Can MVC attributes with a string parameter be fed a function returning a string?

Ok so take for instance this attribute:

[PropertiesMustMatch("NewPassword", "ConfirmPassword", ErrorMessage = "La nuova password e la password di conferma non corrispondono.")]

You can see that the third parameter is a string that I would want to localize, hence I would like to delete that message and replace it with a function call, say something along the lines of this:

[PropertiesMustMatch("NewPassword", "ConfirmPassword", ErrorMessage = GetLocalization("strErrPassMustMatch")]

Do you think it would be possible? If I got *any* chance to do it, then good, I will be setting up a system to do this :-P otherwise, I'll have to find some other way :-)

What can you tell me?

Thank you!

Use a WPF control in a Public Shared function

I am trying to write a program that uses a button on one window to alter a control in another window.  I have a Public Shared Sub declaration in the window I wish to alter, but I cannot put in the code to make the changes to the control (error is "Cannot refer to an instance member of a class from within a shared method or shared member initializer without an explicit instance of the class").  How can I get around this so I can change a control's properties from within a Public Shared function?
