I need a way to call a function at begin of execution of the report, and to call another function when execution ends.
I need to connect to SQL to call a stored procedure.

I am running a huge SSRS 2008 report (that returns 2 million records) and it gets rendered sometimes and sometimes it gives me an error,
"The report execution <some string> has expired or cannot be found. (rsExecutionNotFound)”.
When I see SQL Server log after this issue comes I see following message there;
"A significant part of sql server memory has been paged out. This may result in performance degradation. Duration: 300 seconds. Working set(KB): 97672, memory utilization 42%"
IMPORTANT point to note here is when I am running reports with 1 million records or smaller than that, then I am able to execute them successfully without any issue.
I am using SSRS 2008 64 bit, Win Server 2003 64 bit. RAM is 8GB.
Please help me to know what are these issue, are these two issues related and how to fix it?
I experienced an issue with Sharepoint Foundation 2010. (Server 2008 and Sharepoint Foundation 2010 64bit)
When I use multiple Reportviewer Web parts on one page, the rendering (and most likely the Query itself) is not executed in parallel, i.e. every
web part waits for its predecessor to finish.
I made two screenshots to show the difference in behavior (both are on the exact same hardware)
Sharepoint 2010 (Total execution Time 32 sec) :
I need to exceute a SSRS 2005 report in batch with the SQL Server Agent. This report has some parameters. How can I do know to SQL Server Agent which are these parameters? I don't want to write the values in the settings of report subscription.
Is it possible to do to read a table containing the report parameters or to save to a table the parameters when the user launches the report in the report manager? Many thanks
I have a report i have developed in Bids sourcing from AS cube. Whe I execute the report inside BIDS, i get the results within couple of seconds. But when i run the same report from Report Manager Site, It process for a long time and then generate the following
error. Any ideas gues?
An error occurred during client rendering. An error has occurred during report processing. An error occurred within the report server database. This may be due to a connection failure, timeout or low disk condition within the database.Timeout expired. The
timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
We recently upgraded out platform to .NET 4. We are also using Microsoft Reporting dlls. Unfortunately, we found that the upgrade broke all of our reports. Researching the cause, we found this article:
It seems that this issue has been open for some time now and I have not seen a good workaround (except for the shim class which is not really feasible for us). Can I please get a status update for this? Is there some other type of resolution?
I´m working on a report with SSRS 2008 which is meant to show a lot of figures aggregated for the whole calendar year. In all datasets I have the date as a parameter (date with hierarchy: year - month). So to get the sums for the
whole calendar year I only have to select all the months of the wanted year and SSRS shows the total for that period. That works fine. The problem:
Some figures (for which separate datasets are used) are not meant to be aggregated, eg the number of open cases at the beginning of the period or the number of open cases at the end of the period.
I tried using the First/Last-functions on that figures but that doesn´t work because the first/last function doesn´t seem to refer to the date-parameter but to other dimensions (in my case: region because it shows the summed up values for the
first region instead of the not-aggregated values for the first month).
How can I acchieve that my report shows the first/last value dependent on the choosen date-parameters while summing up the other values for the whole choosen date-parameters?
Your help would be much appreciated.
I have a Report, that I want to run ad-hoc from a Stored Procedure.
I want to render this report to PDF format, and save it to a drive.
The difference between this post and most threads I've seen is I don't want to run a stored proc within the report and send parameters to the stored proc.
I DO want to call a report FROM the stored proc, and send parameters TO the report.
How can I do this?
I only have 1 user that cannot see reports. I even did a gotomeeting and we clicked refresh serveral times and we get the Report Execution Session died.
Every other user works on VPN. The rest of the wqeb site also works fine.
Does any have some pointers on find a resolution for this user. He is windows authenticated and using a VPN. ( I have 1 user out of at least 50 have worked fine with a report viewer over VPN.
I want to create an SSRS report that displays all the steps in an executing workflow along with its current stage.
SharePoint 2010 webpart shows the current state of the executing workflow but I want to display all the steps including ones that have been completed and ones that are still to come.
I've had an application running for some time which accesses reports via the reportingservices web service. Recently I had a request to directly stream the reports for download rather than viewing them through the report viewer. I facillitated this using the reportexecutionservice web service and in testing, everything went fine. When deployed however, the downloads mysteriously failed to occur.
The issue traced to a 401 unauthorized error, which implies my network credentials were rejected. Easy, right? Well, the problem I'm having is that I'm using the same credentials for both the reportingservices web service and the reportexecutionservice web service and I had expected that what was sufficient for one was sufficient for the other.
The credentials I'm passing are for a user which is a member of the SQLServerReportServerUser group on the machine hosting the web service. Is this insufficient to run the reportexecutionservice, and if so, what do I need to do to adjust the security permissions of this user to grant them access to reportexecutionservice?
I have created a complex SSRS 2005 report that queries a large dwh and a SSAS 2005 cube. Now, when I launch the report, the rendering takes more two hours and when I click to navigate on a drill-down report I have an error about the page is expired.
Any idea to solve this issue? Thanks
