There is also a business process that it needs to go through to get approval from about 6 different people with certain approver groups potentially doing additional things.
In x cases it simply just hit approve/reject to send it back to start or move on to next approver.
In 2 other cases the approver needs to approve and attach a document.
I don't want the documents stored in infopath they can be uploaded via it but I want to shift them over to a library for storage and provide a link to them.
Now I am going to have a workflow to notify the groups that they need to do something but I can't decide what is the best course of action.
If the workflow has task then I don't really want them to go to the task to do the work as I would prefer it to be generic so I can reuse it on other projects....is this just me being hopeful?
My idea so far are:
- The workflow uses standard task that tell them what to do and they go to the form to approve/upload files and then complete the task
- The workflow creates the task but no task email is generated instead they get email with link to the form where they do the work and then click submit button once approve/reject is set...which then automatically completes there task.
- Don't use a
