Posted By:      Posted Date: October 14, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Whenever I click on any of the workflow reports such as the Activity Duration Report or the Cancellation & Error Report, I receive the following error message.

Report contains no data.   at Microsoft.Office.RecordsManagement.Reporting.Report.Generate(Hashtable query)
   at Microsoft.Office.RecordsManagement.Reporting.ApplicationPages.GenerateReport.Generate(String strReportId)
   at Microsoft.Office.RecordsManagement.Reporting.ApplicationPages.GenerateReport.OnLoad(EventArgs e)
   at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive()
   at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

Can someone please tell me what is causing this problem?

Nintex Workflow Error: No workflows are waiting for a BizTalk message [...] No processing has been d

I created a Workflow with Nintex Workflow 2007 (on SharePoint 2007) to send/receive data to BizTalk 2009. It worked fine already. But now I get the following error mesage in the EventViewer:

Nintex Workflow; Build: 11000 (http://ls457/_layouts/nintexworkflow/BiztalkHandler.ashx)
No workflows are waiting for a BizTalk message with message Id of 'GeneralAccessRequest_2010-08-23T15_00_04_44961212B370C554EDFAC41C1201ED6CEFB' on teamsite http://ls457/sites/testapp. No processing has been done.

What could that mean? Any ideas? I definitely changed nothing on the orchestration or BizTalk administration. The BizTalk action sends the data correctly to it's destination (database), but it seems that nintex doesn't receive any return data. I don't think it's a BizTalk problem, because in the BizTalk Message Tracking Database the Message is listet, so it has been sent correctly by BizTalk. But the handler probably has problems to find/receive this message.

Kind regards,

2008 R2 Tuning Advisor reports "Error: Exception encountered(DTAEngine)"

I am encountering an error when I try to use the SQL 2008 R2 Database Engine Tuning Advisor. I create a very simple workload (either by right-clicking a query in SSMS or by loading a file), and click Start Analysis.  In the "Consuming Workload" step DTA aborts, and in the message column displays "Error: Exception Encountered(DTAEngine)". When I click on the error message, I get a dialog box with a title of DTAEngine, and a message "Error: Exception encountered". This is a clean test environment (SQL 2008 R2 Data Center Edition 64-bit, on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, in a VM) against a local database. Any ideas about what the problem is or how to resolve it? Error loading workflow services

Hello, I'm developing a service library using the new wf 4.0 and one of my requirements is that some activities have the ability to be resumed by a client, so i created a wcf resume service that could load a workflow definition and resume a bookmark of that workflow. One of the services i created was a flowchart that has a receive reply activites inside a sequence activity has a start point, after that i have another sequence that have another sequence, yes 2 sequence activities, and my custom activity that needs to be resumed by a client. The 2 nested sequence activites was a something i used only for testing, but if i had those 2 sequence activities nested i got an error when loading that workflow definition in my resume service: 'ObtemPareceres' is not of type 'Sequence'. When loading this instance you must ensure that the activity with name 'ObtemPareceres' implements 'Sequence'. The "ObtemPareceres" is my custom activity, and if i remove that second nested sequence everything works fine. Anyone has any idea of whats going where? thanksFrederico Regateiro

Workflow "Error Occurred" Message

Hi, We have upgraded a VS 2008 custom workflow in our production environment but we are now seeing an "Error Occurred" message when starting in one site that the workflow is activated on.  It works fine on another site.  Permissions DID NOT change for users on this site before or after or during the upgrade of the workflow. It works fine in our test environment. How can I troubleshoot this in production environment (I cannot debug)? Can somebody give me a definite answer on what are the required permissions to give user to allow them to start workflows and edit only their own Tasks?  I have asked this question on a number of forums with no definitive answer.

Hi,   I have a dev environment which i had sharepoint 2007 and now i upgraded it to sharepoint 2010. Now when i try to create a state machine workflow project it gives me an error Object Reference not set to an object. I uninstalled Sharepoint extensions 1.3 (as i 64bit win2008 vm) and when i am trying to install it. In one of the installation screens where it asks for the port no  and the select the app pool it only shows the sharepoint central v3 app pool . i was expecting to have sharepoint 2010 product app pool in the drop down. Access Denied/The workflow could not copy the item workflow error after Sharepoint 2010 upgrade

We have a sharepoint designer workflow that copies a document from one library to another on the same site.  Before the upgrade to 2007 it worked fine, but now with 2010 it gives an error and cancels the workflow when it gets to the copy list item step.   The error on the workflow page: The workflow could not copy the item. Make sure the source and destination lists have the same columns and column settings.  Access Denied   Specifically it is the "copy list item current item to documentlibrary" sharepoint designer workflow action.   I have given the system account full permissions to the library and double checked that all columns are the same in both libraries. Receiving Error when Trying to Develop Sharepoint 2007 Workflow using VS 2010 Pro

I have created a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise (32 bit) SP2 image configured with Sharepoint 2007 Enterprise and a trial edition of Visual Studio 2010 Professional.  All software is fully patched.  When I try to create a new Sharepoint 2007 Sequential Workflow (.NET Framework 3.5) in either C# or VB, I receive a pop-up error: Exception of type 'System.PlatformNotSupportedException' was thrown. and, when I click OK and fill in the name of the workflow and a valid Sharepoint Web URL for testing, I receive the following error: SharePoint site location entered is not valid.  The SharePoint site at <removed> could not be found.  Verify that you have typed the URL correctly.  If the URL should be serving existing content, the system administrator may need to add a new request URL mapping to the intended application. The URL in question references the default SharePoint site on this test server and does exist.  My assumption is that the second error received is a symptom of the first.  I have looked elsewhere and seen issues related to 64bit SharePoint implementations but, this is a 32 bit installation.  Based on the VS 2010 web site, I have met all of the prerequisites for developing SharePoint 2007 workflows through VS 2010 Pro.  Does anyone have any ideas on what I might be missing or what I need to

SharePoint Designer Error - Unexpected error on server associating the workflow

I am creating a multistep workflow with multiple Approval steps.  When I get to step 7 or the 7th Approval step and try to publish it, it states that "Errors were found when compiling the workflow.  The workflow files were saved but cannot be run."  With "Unexpected error on server associating the workflow" in the advanced section.  This same error occurs at other stages of the approvals as well.  If I put another process/action in the step, the workflow runs without any problem.  Thanks for the help!
