I am trying to deploy two custom list definitions using only one single feature. Below are the details of my issue.
When I deploy my solution in this configuration, the second list definition gets the first custom content type applied to it and the list schema from the first list definition is also applied to the second list definition.
What makes this more interesting, when I seperate both of the list definitions under two seperate features it all works fine. Custom content types and list schemas get applied correctly.
Can anyone tell me why I can not deploy both list definitions under one single feature?
If you need me to post any of the origional code or XML to this post please let me know.
I want to export selected items from the list to Spreadsheet, currently its exporting all items in view.
My client does not want to use datasheet>>filter>>export option.
Is there any out of box solution to only the selected items to excel? otherwise what would be best way to achieve using coding?
I have assigned a work to create a report, that should render in excel with dropdown list. i.e. report should contain a input parameter as a table names, when user selects the table name, report should show only the field names of the selected table. Some
of the field name have look up values that values should be displayed as dropdown when we export to excel.
Can any one have any idea how to proceed with this report?
I need to import based selective data from excel sheet and export data from sharepoint list, I'm new in Sharepoint.
can anybody guide me? What all possible ways are there and which would be the best.
We have created a DataView WebPart on a list in Sharepoint 2007 using SharePoint Designer with the Sharepoint List Toolbar (so we have the Actions button, including Export to Spreadsheet). When we try to Export to a Spreadsheet (Excel 2003) it fails.
We've tried a couple of different scenarios, we get a different error for each.
If we just create the DataView onto a new aspx page then open the page in IE and try to export the data we get an error box that states and unexpected error has occurred and the data could not be saved. No spreadsheet is created.
If we create a public view page in Sharepoint then open the resulting .aspx in Sharepoint Designer, remove the automagically created view and replace with a DataView Webpart, then save and reopen the page in IE, attempting the export results in a spreadsheet
being created but only the ID numbers exported. We then get a message box saying that some hidden or read only fields need data but do not have a default value.
As the original list is quite complex and has a variety of different data types we created a much simpler list on a separate subsite and repeated these scenarios, with exactly the same outcomes.
We are using Sharepoint 2007 (WSS 3.0) via Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows XP SP2 to export the data into Excel 2003 SP3. This has been replicated on three dif
My requirement is to export the list items in Pages library with its meta data i.e. Created Time and Modified Time.
I am trying Export Import code, but it does not import time. It imports the CreatedBy and ModifiedBY acuurately but createdTIme and Modified Time comes as current time, the time i run the import.
private static void ExportItems()
string exportFolder = @"C:\exports\";
string exportFileName = "Export_File.cmp";
using (SPSite site = new SPSite(sourceSiteUrl))
using (SPWeb oWeb = site.OpenWeb())
SPList oList = oWeb.Lists["Pages"];
SPListItem oItemA = oList.GetItemById(2480);
SPExportObject exportObject = new SPExportObject();
exportObject.Id = oItemA.UniqueId;
exportObject.Type = SPDeploymentObjectType.ListItem;
SPExportSettings exportSettings = new SPExportSettings();
exportSettings.LogExportObjectsTable = true;
exportSettings.LogFilePath = exportFolder + "Exportlog.log";
exportSettings.SiteUrl = sourceSiteUrl;
I recent started developing issues in SharePoint 2007 and I'm find a little bit lost.
Recently, while creating a little windows application that go across a SharePoint portal finding documents, it recives the exception "Feature 'df31abb1-d432-4fa5-bdb1-25a2a5dd7e86' for list template '7655' is not installed in this farm." while try to enter
in a list called Caml Query List.
I saw a lot of forums that recomend me to install the U2U feature, remove the list and then uninstall again the feature, but I don't know where I can find this feature and how I've got to do that.
Is this feature on the 12 hive?
I need to use the stsadm.exe aplication to install/uninstall or remove it?
Thanks in advance for the replys!
On a sharepoint page i click on 'Actions' tab then select 'Edit in Datasheet'ÃÂ and i see the following error message
"The list cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons: A datasheet component compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not installed, your browser does not support ActiveX controls, or support for ActiveX controls is disabled. "
I am using XP professional, IE 6.02 to access the sharepoint site.
I was hoping that the hot fix KB938888 would fix that issue, but it did not. bulk editing is a nice feature that i would like to use but i have never been able to. The link to export data to Excel works fine.
if anyone has suggestions, thanks in advance
