Infopath 2010 WITHOUT Sharepoint...?

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 13, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Hi guys

I made Custom-Forms using Infopath 2003 already to send informations via Email to a developer, so he can work on that project.

Now i should do the following with Office Infopath 2010:

Creating a Form using Infopath 2010 (published on a network folder..)

When clicked on "Send" it should do one of the following 2 options:

a) writing direct to a SQL Database

b) generating XML Files (and SAVE them in a network folder for later import in SQL).

Main problem that i have is, that our company does not have a sharepoint server...

Is ther a way to solve one of the two options?

..Thanx

Roman

Cannot publish InfoPath 2010 form template to SharePoint Server 2010 RC

Hi all, I am MSFT in Vietnam. I created a SharePoint list using InfoPath 2010 RTM 64bit. After publishing it to SharePoint 2010 RC, I see an error message:  Click on button "Show Details" the message is The list schema does not match the schema of this form. Refresh the data source and publish the form again. When I create new item based on published SharePoint list, I can see plain form not browser enabled InfoPath form. I checked InfoPath Form Services, everything seems to be good. What should I do to publish SharePoint list from InfoPath 2010 to SharePoint 2010 as browser enabled form?

Infopath Form Data submitting to Sharepoint 2010 List

Making a Client intake form that once submitted will send data to  a sharepoint 2010 List called contacts. Short Summary the form will have repeating fields and alot of information to submit. I have looked and read all over but I cannot find an easy step by step guild on how to submit the form data like that. Long Summary on the sharepoint site a button will open a form for adding a new client.  once the form has been filled out and the user hits submit sharepoint will then create a User File, in clients file, and take the data and put it into contacts list. I am trying to make use of Sharepoint as I would with access, meaning the more information I have on a client the easier it will be to mail merge letters, motions, basicly any file prepaired stuff. So once I have css designed forsharepoint to make it look the way I want then the forms should intergrate perfect

Trying to repair SharePoint 2010, running into an error with Microsoft.Office.InfoPath in GAC...

We've got an environment which has been hit badly by something we're not yet sure of. SharePoint has ceased working completely, and when I try to run SharePoint Configuration Wizard, it stops with an error concerning an windows assembly. Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Server', VErsion=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. Signature specified is zero-sized. (Exception from HRESULT:0x80131237) How can I fix that assembly?

Sharepoint 2010: Browser compatible infopath forms are not open in web browser for editing

I created a browser enabled form with InfoPath 2010. I then published the form by selecting the option "Publish form to a SharePoint library" and then selected "Form library" and finally selected "Create a new form library". As a result, a new form library was created. When I click on "add document", the browser opens a new form, which I can fill and save successfully. However, after the form is saved, whenever I click on the form name in the form library to edit it, the browser "opens with" dialog box opens, asking for an XML editor software. In other words, the form does not open in browser for editing even on systems that do not have InfoPath installed.

The form is browser compatible and the form library is configured to open browser-enabled forms in browser. The issue is that the form hyperlink is directly pointing to form XML file rather than pointing to InfoPath form services URL.

I would really appreciate, if someone tells me how I can edit the form in browser.

Sharepoint 2010 and Infopath

I need to hide a lookup column (that was recently added) for an existing list. I have tested this functionality using javascript on a

test list that I created.

The function is implemented in the displayform, newform and editform and makes use of the document.getElementsByTagName("!")

to retrieve all matching elements, which is then used to get the control of the column that needs to be hidden.

I then check for the currently logged in user and if the user is not part of the administrative group I hide the column by setting the

display property of the control to 'none'. This works a 100% in the test list.

When I tried implementing the javascript functions on the existing list, the control (lookup column) could not be found even though it exists. The difference is that the existing list has 3 additional forms being displayif, editif and newif (I have implemented the functions on these forms).

Since it does not seem possible to implement the logic using javascript in the forms, can this be done using infopath, and if so how would I

go about it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

InfoPath 2010, People Picker Control - problem with sharepoint group targeting

Hello!

I have developed InfoPath 2010 web form with People Picker Control. I want to set sharepoint group which would be used in People Picker Control to search people. Ok, I set sharpoint site url and aftet that - select sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath group' I need. Everything works fine - I can select only people inside sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath group'.

Now I deploy my solutions (wsp package) on different site collection and sharepoint server installations. In this case People Picker Control can't find right sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath group'. Sometimes People Picker Control select another group, not that I have select in InfoPath Designer and sometimes People Picker Control select all users.

What's wrong with it and can I configure People Picker Control to select sharepoint group?
