We created an application that leverages on SPExport and SPImport.
We noticed that when we export/import site, the links on the word documents pointing to same application on the target site seems to get truncated url, the url parameters (ie ?param1=a¶m2=b) are truncated.
also the host header seems to get updated ie(http://my.shop.com/path1/path2 turns to like (http://hostheader/path1/path2) which is causing broken links.
need some help/advice/ suggestion.
Thanks a lot
Not able to edit the document (Office 2007) in a SharePoint document library, Its showing already checkout (locked for other users) by another user still that is checked-in and also if checked-out even the same user cheked-in. Please provide me the solution.
I am unable to edit document in SharePoint, and hit error
with a message “The document could not be opened for editing. A Windows SharePoint Services compatible application could not be found to edit the document”.
try to check out a document it hits error
with the message “object reference not set to an instance of an object”.
Do you have any idea on these issues? As in the development server, I am
able to check out and edit documents.
I have created lot of costom .aspx page using sharepoint desgner 2007 and attached to custome list successfully . tha same approach i followed for document library in moss 2007 . but i tried to attach that form to docment
libarary its giving error "The page you have selected does not contain a reference to the correct SharePoint list". i ahve googled to sort out the problem and find out content type should be 'Item' type. but this is document library
so content type is document . ther is no ther option for Item.
Please help me to come out from this problem.

Anyone ever had trouble with document properties that does not syncronize between a Word 2007 document and the SharePoint library where it is stored?
I have a SharePoint library, that contains two content types. When I upload a pdf file, and set the property values everything is perfect. When I create a Word document and set the Properties using the DIP, the values are stored in the Word document (I see
them in the DIP, inside the word xml files and in the fileds in the document where they are displayed (using quickparts)), but not transfered to SharePoint when I save the document to the library.
If I upload a Word document to the library, I am able to choose content type and set all the property values. But when I open the document for editing, all the property values in the DIP are empty. The DIP do show the correct property fields for that content
After creating new libraries, content types and creating, transfering and uploading files all day, I have not been able to locate what is causing this issue.
My users have been using this library for several months and use the documents on a daily basis, and this problem just got raised. My users are feeling scared that they have to recreate their library or site (which will involve manually updating
all the document properties ). I hope someone are able to
The last time I wrote this column (March 2006), I shared an application that allows you to update all the Microsoftî Word documents in a folder and its subfolders. Each time the application finds a document in the specified path, it updates the document properties to match those you specified in the application.

We will be implementing Document Search (DOC, DOCX, PDF, TIFF, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX) for one of our customers. We were evaluating a few MOSS 2007 based solutions, and happened to visit your site. What we intend to achieve are the following functionalities:
User should be able to search through 1000s of documents which are in a Sharepoint Document Library
The documents could be in English, International Languages.
Each document is 70-100 pages, and therefore it is important that the Search Results show the relevant pages on which the Search Text appears (Get Highlighted) within each document . Clicking on the link will take the user to the right
The additional requirement is Synonym search. So, I can search for
SharePoint 2007 uploading document limitation <=6 record ?? Dear Expert,
I've 1 project of sharepoint which is involved a scanning solution + sharepoint (document library)
People will scan a set of invoice thru scanning device and then export to sharepoint (document library) as a PDF file.
1 invoice may have many sheet, but our scanning solution will group it into 1 and save as 1 pdf.
After upload to sharepoint (document library) my Workflow will start to running and routing for approval
But if they upload more than 6 invoice then the 7th invoice will get a error on WF to start (intermittent case).
Isit sharepoint have a limitation number of uploading??
