### Matrix Report need to look as Table Report

Hi All,

I have a matrix report with 13 columns and 12 row groups are created in SSRS 2008. My problem here is because of the grouping the value is shown only once for a set where as I want to view the value of the grouping column to be repeated for every individual record. Can any one help with this.

Each Row will have should nativigate to different reports based on which row the user will select.

So For example, the matrix table layout is like this....

### Super Complex Table/Matrix

Hi

I'm in a situation where I have to build a super complex table or rather matrix

This is how the table/matrix should look like:

The complex thing is that everything is taken from a database.

I will try to explain the color sections one by one.

SERIE (Green area)

If we start with the top columns; SERIE 1, SERIE 2, SERIE 3

These values are coming from a table column value. If this column has the value 3 then I will need to print 3 table cells, just like in the image.

MEDICINE NAMES (Blue area)

Then there is the outer left columns, that goes like this;

Behandlingsdag (meaning day of treatment)

Osplatin (100 mg/m2)

Leucovorin (x)

And so forth.

All these values are also coming from 3 different tables

One Column (Yellow area)

These cells are getting their values from a table. According to some true og false values.

1, 2, 3, 4 (Red area)

Then there is the table cells below the SERIES. These table cells goes like this

First there is a 1, then there are the tables cells 1 to 18 all below

### two temperory table values from sql to a crystal report

in a crystal report ,  i used stored procedure name to display the fields.my problem is,  in the procedure i selected the fields from two temperary tables.but in vs 2005 field explorer showing only the fields from the first temperory table.y the second temperry table fields are not displaying?

i need two temporary table values .In sql tempo table query like as follows

Select  * #TmpSummrep1.

Select  * #TmpSummrep2

all fields from #TmpSummrep1 available in field explorer.

my procedure is running without any errors.

### Matrix (or table) like form: questions

Hi! I have to build a form to allow user to submit data; in some cases user should have to fill "matrix" forms, or table... I mean, I will have to define some columns, to be filled with data by user row by row (with the number of rows predefined too). So, I'm wondering if there's a smarter method to create a "matrix" like form than manually creating a grid with labels and textboxes. At first it seems that, at least visually speaking, datagrid could work; but i've always used it binded to some data source, so its population was automatic. Anyone knows if a datagrid could be created "blank", without any databinding, to be real-time populated? Or if there's a better solution? Thanks! ;)

### Empty/blank group at top of matrix table

I'm having trouble creating a report with matrix tables.  I've got all the data showing up properly, but the first line in the preview is always blank.  If I subtotal the groupings, I get a blank Total line as well.  How can I stop this from happening? I'm using SQL 2005, report designer.  Data is coming from a stored procedure.  I've executed the sp in management studio as well as in the data tab of the report and it comes back with the correct data (no completely blank/null lines).  I'm new to SSRS and I've tried googling for a solution, but haven't found anything similar.  Below is the sp and the output data. ### SSRS2005: Is it safe to manually remove instances from the Keys table in the report server database?

I have a problem with redundant reporting services instances still hanging around in the initialization pane of the RS configuration wizard and I can't get rid of them. The problem arose when we had new webfarms and before I had removed all references to the old ones from the initialization screen, the old webfarms had been switched off, removed from the network and dismantled. Therefore when I try to 'de-initialize' them, I get an error stating that reporting services cannot connect to them and when I run reports, a fair few are trying to run on the old webfarms which no longer exist and are disappearing into the void. There's a table in the report server database called Keys whch contains details of these intances and i'm wondering if its safe to remove these via SQL commands without breaking reporting services on other machines.   As a side note: All this stems from the fact that when you uninstall Reporting Services, not all of the files / references are removed. So as a general word of warning, if you do an uninstall of RS2005, you'll need to make sure everything's gone before re-installing, throwing away old machines etc. These include folders in IIS and these old instances as mentioned above.

### Report Builder 2.0 and Matrix Sub totals

Hi All, Hope someone can assist... I am busy building a complex Financial report and have to deal with lots of Sub Totals etc. I basically have 2 questions: 1. I have 2 Matrixes and wan't to "SUM" the sub total from one matrix with the sub total from another (both will have seperate groupings, is this even possible. 2. How do i add the Value of "TextBox1" to the value of "TextBox2", the expression will be appriciated ? Regards

### Snapshot report with matrix sometimes does not display data ... rerun report and it does

Hi All, I am having a strange problem with a snapshot report that is scheduled through Report Manager and runs once a day at approximately 18:30 each evening. The report contains a column chart with a textual category, numeric data, and a date series. Above the chart, is a matrix containing the value of the last bar in each series, and the average value of all bars in the series.  Here's a screen capture of what the report looks like: http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/185/wipu.png The problem is that sometimes the matrix is missing.  The chart still displays properly and all the data is correct.  If I rerun the report manually, and save a new snapshot, the matrix re-appears. For the past 6 months this report has been running flawlessly.  In the past 3 weeks, the problem has occurred twice.  I don't know why. Why would the matrix disappear?  What is causing this, and how can I fix it?  Any ideas? I'm using SSRS 2008. Thanks in advance for any insights. Regards, --DanDJAnsc

### Excel pivot table report filter selections from a cube

There are two filters added to the report filter, Date (8/31/2010) and Product (Product A), from a cube I have.  Everything works just fine.  Once the cube is refreshed each day to include the new data, for some reason, only the selection of Date, 8/31/2010, stays but the selection of Product changes to All Products.  Both dimensions are fully processed but the surrogate keys for existing records do not change.  I checked the MDX captured in Profiler and in the where clause, the date selection is passed from the pivot table but the product selection is lost and all products is passed in.  Any thoughts? TIA.

### Creating Matrix report to show totals, need subreport to show details...

I've created a perfect matrix report using the nifty wizard and it's exactly what the client wants, but they would also like to see the detail for each row. I'm able to create subreports and pass parameters and all that jazz, but I'm having a hard time setting up a subreport for this matrix. ### Crystal Report viewer navigation buttons not working

Working in Visual Studio 2008 and using the packaged Cystal Reports (version 10.5). I have a couple pages that use the Crystal Reports Viewer to display the reports, and I use the CRV navigation buttons to page through large reports. Problem: The Next button only goes to page 2. The Previous button goes to Page 1 every time. I've read that this is because the binding of the report occurs in the Page_Load() and the CRV paging resets every time the report is rebinded. It was suggested to move this into Page_Init() which should only fire once, save the report in Session state, and then rebind on post backs. I've tried this, but my code never seems to reach the Page_Init(). In fact, I don't even see Page_Init() as an option. I've tried protected override OnInit(), but it fires every post back so that's no good. Does anyone have suggestions for a solution? Where is Page_Init() in Visual Studio 2008?  Thanks for any help.  -Robert

I have a user that has created a matrix and they are wanting the row to return even if the data value is 0.ÃÂ  Basically the Matrix calculates the number of students enrolled in 10 buildings and 2 of the buildings have no students, so those 2 buildings are excluded in the output.ÃÂ  Nick

Hi, I am having a matrix report in SSRS 2005 which is parameterized.When I select parameter which is having related data in the database report is working well.But When I select a parameter for which data is not present in database at that particular time.I donot see the matrix on report .So can any one suggest me how to show the matrix report with zeros in data region when user select that parameter   Thanks in advance.

### Adding a table or view multiple times when building a query with BI Report Designer and Report Build

How can I add a table/view multiple times to a single query by using BI Report Designer or Report Builder 3.0? In Report Designer I managed (workaround) to add one table multiple times by creating multiple Named Queries and having the same SELECT. Still I don't know how to add one table multiple times in Report Builder 3.0.

### Is there a way to set default style properties for a table or matrix?

We have a company standard we use for fonts, color, background, borders.

Is there a way to set the default font to say 8 pt (vs 10 pt) so that I do not have to change every textbox and column header when adding columns to a table?
