Receiving a fatal error 3624 @pageref.cpp:913 inserting into an empty table

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 12, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Hi guys,

I'm using Integration Services to insert rows into a SQL Server 2008 table, and I'm receiving an error - only when the table is empty before the insert.  I use SSIS quite frequently, and this is the first time I've seen this kind of issue.  Since I'm getting some internal errors that seem related to the engine in the reports, I figured I'd post here for ideas.

Here's the dump from the Agent job that runs the package:

Display error when inserting table in Content Editor Webpart

I've got a MOSS 2007. I want to insert a table into the Content Editor Webpart using the Rich Text Editor. I am choosing "Insert Table" and the new window occurs. But I can't do anything.

The buttons in the format section are not enabled.

There are a lot of display errors. (I wanted to upload an image but I don't know where...) The display errors are pictures with the name "TRANS.GIF" lying in the images folder of the 12Hive. There are several of these images maybe to align the context.

To summarize:

  • I can't use the "Format"
  • There are disply errors (images) in the dialog
Can anybody help me?

Inserting personal error message in ValidationSummary

I am creating a web form that requires a lot of validation. I use many of the validation control in asp.net already like RequiredFieldValidator and CompareValidator.

My Problem: after my custom validation for the value entered return an error message, and I pressed enter key when the field is empty, my custom error message is overlapped by my ValidationSummary.

Setting my custom error to visible = false on button click also does not seem to work as it requires for me to enter the value first.

This made me think, is there a way to insert my custom validation inside the ValidationSummary as an error message like for other validation control?

Thanks in advance

Event ID 1011 - DefaultAppPool World Wid Web Pub. Serv. fatal communication error

We have a Windows 2003 server running IIS6 1.1 Framework. We have also installed a DNS and Active Directory in the same machine.

We're randomly getting the error you can see below. Sometimes it causes the recycling of process w3wp.exe (which on my understanding represents the application pool worker processd) and other times results on this process hanging and not responding to any request. To do iisrest temporarly solves the problem.

We were pointed to a possible permissions problem between the user we were runnig the DefaultAppPool with and registry entries used by the iis. We noticed the default predifined user we used, Network Service, wasn't found in the Active Directory, so we changed it by the default configurable user, IWAM_MACHINE_NAME, which is under the IIS_WPG Active Directory Grupo, which, in theory has the correct permissions to run the application pool.

Well, none of this worked and we are still getting this error.

This is driving us crazy and think the problem might have to do with having the Domain Controller/Active Directory and the IIS6 running on the same machine. We'll try now uninstalling this DC pointing to another one to see what happens.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Cast error when inserting record with Linq (to Sql)

I'm getting  the following error message:

Unable to cast object of type 'System.Data.Linq.DataQuery`1[Username]' to type 'Username'.

I've been searching but can't find a solution.  This particular table has 4 columns. The first column is the int indentifier.  Column 2 is "username" (varchar50) and is the primary key.  Column3 is "userID" (uniqueidentifier) and column 4 is "active" (varchar5) .

            Dim dc As New DataClassesDataContext
Dim c3 As New Username With {.userID = userGuid, _
                                    .username = userCustomName, _
                                    .active = "False"}

            Throw ex

Sporadic .NET application crash with "Fatal Execution Engine Error"

I have a .NET application that runs for several hours.  It is a multi-threaded app that does some calculations and saves the results to the database.   On one machine in particular, it has been crashing recently with the following exception recorded in the Event Log: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4206 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (6C9D7B6E) (80131506) Faulting application AnalyzerConsole.exe, version, time stamp 0x4c76d28b, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.4206, time stamp 0x4bf4c6a7, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0011627d, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10. Sometimes it runs for hours without crashing, but usually it will crash eventually. Excel 2007 Pivot table OLAP- SSAS 2008 Error

Hi, I do have a strange issue with Excel 2007 pivot table report; the data source is SSAS 2008 cube. When refresh the excel 2007 report data using the 'Refresh All' or 'Refresh' button available under the Data menu, the below error is thrown. "The expression contains a function that cannot operate on a set with more than 4,294,967,296 tuples." After some analysis, the report works well on the below workaround, 1. Remove all the calculated measures from report (3 measures in this scenario) 2. Remove one row label (dimension attribute) from report But the measures, attributes are valid one from cube and it is required fields in the report. So, understand that removing few items is not at all a solution. The below workaround also works. 1. Check the 'Defer Layout Update' option from the Pivot Table Field List window. 2. Click on the Update button After that Unchecked the 'Defer Layout Update' option and apply the filter, etc in the report. The report works very well. But every time, we need to use the above work around after open the excel report. I have NO clue on this issue. Please help to resolve this issue. Thanks, Jey

Error Message: The referenced table must have a primary or candidate key. [ FK Name = FK_tblA_tblB ]

An Entity Data Model is used to generate the script to create  a SQL CE database.  It creates all of the 10+ tables and their primary keys without any problem. A lot of foreign key creations generate errors like the following: SQL Execution Error. Executed SQL statement ALTER TABLE [tblA] ADD CONSTRAINT [FK_tblA_tblB] FOREIGN KEY([A], [B], [C]) REFERENCES [tblB]([A], [BBB], [C]) Error Source: SQL Server Compact ADO.NET Data Provider Error Message: The referenced table must have a primary or candidate key. [ FK Name = FK_tblA_tblB ] The primary keys are there and correct. Could anyone offer some tips on how to figure out what is wrong?hz

JPEGS with empty IPTC / APP14 Tags cause GDI+ error

I am curious as to why the GDI+ libraries error our with exc = {"A generic error occurred in GDI+."} when the IPTC headers are empty.  I would assume it should reasonably take care of this.  I have taken am image and changed the "ff ed" app14 marker to more generic "ff ec" and everything loads fine and dandy.  So by analysis I am looking at a jpg the IPTC header has no data and I am guessing the GDI+ libraries dont handle empty data very well.  Anyone else having this problem.  Only workaround which is expensive is creating a new image and saving it to the stream which in a sense basically strips the header data making it more generic of an image.   System.Drawing.Image image = Image.FromFile("c:\\test6.jpg"); System.Drawing.Image image2 = null; ImageFormat format = ImageFormat.Jpeg; using (var stream = new MemoryStream()) { try { image.Save(stream, format); //using jpg with empty IPTC data will throw GDI+ error } catch (Exception exc) { image2 = new Bitmap(image);//this is expensive but gets job done image2.Save(stream, format); } context.HttpContext.Response.BinaryWrite(stream.ToArray()); } JPG Hex Bytes from beginning of file.  The Internal of the stream will error out about 24 bytes with a lengt

Empty/blank group at top of matrix table

I'm having trouble creating a report with matrix tables.  I've got all the data showing up properly, but the first line in the preview is always blank.  If I subtotal the groupings, I get a blank Total line as well.  How can I stop this from happening? I'm using SQL 2005, report designer.  Data is coming from a stored procedure.  I've executed the sp in management studio as well as in the data tab of the report and it comes back with the correct data (no completely blank/null lines).  I'm new to SSRS and I've tried googling for a solution, but haven't found anything similar.  Below is the sp and the output data. SP: SELECT s.Status_Name + ' (' + CAST(CAST(s.Status_Weight*100 AS int) AS varchar(50)) + '%)' AS Status, s.Status_Order, CASE WHEN co.Company_Name IS NULL THEN '' ELSE co.Company_Name END AS Company_Name, co.Est_Income FROM tblStatus AS s LEFT OUTER JOIN tblCompany AS co ON (co.Status_ID = s.Status_ID AND co.New_Upsell = @NewUpsell) GROUP BY co.Company_Name, s.Status_Order, s.Status_Name, s.Status_Weight, co.Est_Income ORDER BY s.Status_Order, co.Company_Name Output (mgmt studio): Still Connecting (0%),1,Company1,400000.00 Still Connecting (0%),1,Company2,3000000.00 Clear Future (0%),2,Company3,250000.00 Clear Future (0%),2,Company4,250000.00 Appointment (10%),3,,NULL Proposal (40%),5,,NUL

AppDomain unloading causes Fatal Execution Engine Error

After resolving my previous problem (by working around it, actually), I came to the point where I need to unload the AppDomain. After cleaning up all fibers that were created to be run in this AppDomain, my (C++/CLI) code runs AppDomain::Unload(_scriptDomain);, however, it terminates the process with a very, very bad error, according to the event logs: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7117851A) (80131506) The VS debugger crashes with a 'system error' in Debugger::HandleIPCEvent, which a web search shows as being no help. The (confusing) WinDbg stack trace is posted below: WARNING: HUGE STACK DUMPS FOLLOW (edit: removed due to falseness) [snip] I hope someone with more debugging experience than me can find out what's wrong with my program... I always get annoying issues when hacking on this! :(

Invalid object error on temp table on a particular environment

Hi, I am using a temp table in my sp. I have written the following tsql before and after using the temp table. IF OBJECT_ID('tempdb..##TEMP') IS NOT NULL DROP TABLE tempdb..##TEMP; Data will be inserted to the temp table consecutively using a cursor. I use SELECT * INTO tempdb..##TEMP FROM EXEC('query') to fill this temp table for the first time and INSERT INTO tempdb..##TEMP(<fields>) EXEC('query') for the remaining times. The SP is working fine in my laptop, but I am getting an Invalid Object error on this temp table name in the production server. Could anyone tell me the possible causes please? Thanks Sree
