I always heard that it's not recommended to run SQL server and IIS on one physical server. Can somebody clarify in details/examples disadvantages of doing this. I understand that SQL and IIS would be sharing the same system resources but it doesn't mean
that this would cause any problems or does it? We have a large database (55GB), but I am not able to prove that the database residing on one server with IIS (which serves the website for this database) is in conflict with IIS.
