The job failed. Unable to determine if the owner  of job xyz has server access (reason: Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user "ME", error code 0x6fd. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 15404)).

The subscription status of the object could not be changed

Good day to all.. I have a problem. There are two sql servers with transactional replication Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2531.0 (X64) Mar 29 2009 10:11:52 Copyright (c) 1988-2008 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 <X64> (Build 3790: Service Pack 2) There was a table function without parameters, included in articles of publication. Then I had to change it with adding one parameter. I've changed it via alter function on the publisher. And then replication stopped with error message about invalid argument count in this function. I've decided to reinitialise subscribtion with new snapshot, but new snapshot can't be created ("The subscription status of the object could not be changed"). Then I've decided to drop this subscription and recreate it, but I can't drop it (same error - "The subscription status of the object could not be changed").. Dropping publication also was unsuccesfull. How I can repair replication now?

Hi All, Using Merge Replication over the web (https). Server is running SQL Server 2008, client using SQL Server Express 2008. I am getting these error messages while trying to synchronize, and it won't let me sync: {call sp_MSensure_single_instance (N'{459D0BBA-53EC-4F65-AF52-E7DA478841DA}', 4)} Another merge agent for the subscription or subscriptions is running, or the server is working on a previous request by the same agent. Can you please advice what can be done to fix. Do I need to kill a process in SQL Server?

SSRS Subscription Management: Restart, Stop, View Status, update properties, etc

As SSRS admins, there are times when a user comes to us and ask: I didn't get my reported emailed to me today?or worst, a report subscription going to multiple people doesn't run and now you have lots of people missing their subscription - (suppose server crashed, or something happened).One idea of course would be to have the subscription owner re-schedule it to run now, or create a new -- but - i'm thinking - we should create a subscription adminstration tool.a .net app that queries the ssrs web service, gets a list of subscriptions in the ssrs system (or perhaps by folder) and then is able to 'restart a subscription', "stop a running one", 'view all subscription status, schedule, owner, etc' if I wanted to d this - what is the web service that I could use this for?and most importanly - has anybody dont anything like this that they can share?this is for ssrs 2005 & and I'm hoping 2008 can be called through the same .net app tool

Running a WPF application from a console app and return status/console output from the wpf

I am trying to run a WPF application from a console application (e.g. a .bat file) but need to be able to receive console and error output from the WPF application.

I have console.writeline() and console.error.writeline commands in the WPF application but these are not received by the console application.

I would also like to receive a status value from the WPF on completion.

Is this possible?

If so could you give me a simple example using VB?

graphically monitor the running status of a package?

hi all,

one of my packages is supposed to be run once per day.

if i add it to an SQL Agent Job, how can i graphically monitor the running status——which task has finished, which task is currently running,etc— of this package ,just as if i pressed the run button in BIDS and then watched the tasks turn yellow and then green.

or any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

People_DL_import not running - Membership & BDC Import Status idle

Recently, we noticed that not all of our AD groups were showing up in MOSS people picker for audiences, and those that were did not always have the correct number of users in them.

Investigating this, we discovered that on the "User profiles and properties" page of the SSP, the "Membership & BDC import status" was always idle.
Clicking the "View import log" link, and choosing "PEOPLE_DL_IMPORT" in the
"Content Sources" drop down revealed that the last time crawled was over a
week ago.

Starting a full profile import did not have any effect - the profiles
appeared to import OK, but the membership and bdc import status remained with
a status of "idle"

I have managed to update the group memberships manually by using the
powershell script below:
$spsite = new-object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSite(http://SITEURL)
$sc = [Microsoft.Office.Server.ServerContext]::GetContext($spsite)
$cm = new-object

which manually starts the DL import (the user profiles and management page
shows the membership and BDC status is enumerating, then importing). Doing
this manually, the import logs then show entries

Show grand total running total in GridView Footer

In many scenarios we need to display Running total as well as Grand total in GridView footer. In this post i will try to explain in an easy way that how we can display running total & Grand total in a GridView footer combindly. To explain this solution using an example here i use a sales order report. The report contains all sales order amount in a tabular way. I will use a GridView to display sales order amount and use GridView footer to display Running total & Grand total. Let we have a customer table with id and name column plus an orders table with OrderID,CustomerID,OrderDate & Amount. Now our goal is to show all customers order with amount as well as page wise running total & grand total. Note that running total is necessary when you enable paging in a GridView where as Grand total is always you can consider.

Client script not running

Dear all,

in my MVC 2 application, and in the shared Master Page I wrote this little script for menu handling :

<script src="../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () {
     $('#nav li').hover(
         function () {
             //show its submenu
             $('ul', this).slideDown(100);
        function () {
           //hide its submenu
            $('ul', this).slideUp(100);

The script, that shows menu items when the

Very Basic Question - Error message running first page

Hi Everyone,

I am running Windows 7 and I have gone into Control Panel and activated all of the IIS Functions.

The web application I am running was downloaded from the net (and has worked on other machines previously).  Once I downloaded it, I moved it into C:/inetpub/wwwroot/code/main.asp

I am a bit of a novice at this!  But I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction!

I get the following error when I try and run the web application through IE:

"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator. If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

(When i click the "click here" button it just goes to the IIS site).

Appreciate any help I can get!

High Availability: Keep Your Code Running with the Reliability Features of the .NET Framework

Reliability requires the capacity to execute a sequence of operations in a deterministic way, even under exceptional conditions. This allows you to ensure that resources are not leaked and that you can maintain state consistency without relying on application domain unloading (or worse, process restarts) to fix any corrupted state. Unfortunately, in the.NET Framework, not all exceptions are deterministic and synchronous, which makes it difficult to write code that is always deterministic in its ability to execute a predetermined sequence of operations. In this article Stephen Toub will show you why, and explore features of the .NET Framework 2.0 that help you to mitigate these situations and write more reliable code.

.NET Internals: Examine Running Processes Using Both Managed and Unmanaged Code

There are plenty of times when you need to get information on running processes, not the least of which is during performance tuning. Using the techniques in this article and special .NET classes you'll see how to get a process' ID, name, priority, number of threads, kernel handle, and memory consumption, as well as its user-mode, kernel-mode, and total elapsed running time and put them to use in a custom app called AssemblyBrowser.

Code Name Indigo: A Guide to Developing and Running Connected Systems with Indigo

This article describes a collection of new programming frameworks that are part of "Longhorn," the upcoming version of Windows. "Indigo," the code name for this framework, provides rich support for service-oriented design that is complementary to traditional object-oriented approaches. Indigo marries the best features of .NET Remoting, ASMX, and .NET Enterprise Services into a unified programming and administration model. Indigo's deep support for standard protocols, including HTTP, XML, and SOAP, makes it easier to integrate applications and services without sacrificing security or reliability.
