sql server agent - job schedule 22022 error

Hi ! I have scheduled a job in sql server 2008 to send birthday e-mails. I run the script and it looks wroking but in agent schedule it doesn't. I am getting the below error; what is the problem?

TITLE: Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo
Start failed for Job 'Sending_transferdb_birthdate_e-mails'.
For help, click: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?ProdName=Microsoft+SQL+Server&ProdVer=10.50.1447.4+((KJ_RTM).100213-0103+)&EvtSrc=Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.ExceptionTemplates.FailedOperationExceptionText&EvtID=Start+Job&Link

SSRS Schedule Subscriptions - SQL Server Agent Job Name

We are beginning to use SSRS a lot and have noticed that when it creates the SQL Server Agent job for a subscribed/scheduled report in Report Manager the name it generates is a "gibberish" GUID (.i.e. 437D4E5B-CB2A-421B-B84F-B54C9D8BD52A).

Looking at the SQl Server Agent job there doesn't appear to be any way in looking at that jobs properties that tells you which Scheduled Report it is running.

Is there any way thru a script or otherwise to find this easily?

SSIS SQL Server Agent Job Schedule

We have a job that is using a foreach loop to grab input from a text file, perform some transformations and place it into a SQL Server database using OLE DB providers.  The package works fine from the local environment (within Visual Studio).  Then when you import the package from the file system into the MSDB package store, it works fine from there as well.

The problem is when we try to schedule the job using the SQL Server Agent.  It is a one step job and it says its successful when we run it, but it doesn't put any information into the database itself.  We have other packages running that are working that run from the package store and take information from one database and put it into the same SQL Server DB we are trying to put our text file information into.

Has anyone encountered the problem where the package works from the file system as well as the package store, but doesn't work when you schedule it as a job?

A connection could not be made to the report server http://localhost/ReportServer.

  • I created a Report using Business Intelligence Studio. Its working working well, i can able to view records. But when i try to deploy the report an error occurs specifying that "A connection could not be made to the report server http://localhost/ReportServer. (Microsoft Report Designer)".
  • I open the IIS 7 and find out virtual directories "Reports" and "ReportServer" are available.
  • I check on the browser and type "http://localhost/reports".  I find the browser direct to this url: http://localhost/reports/Pages/Folder.aspx and find error specifying the following one:

Error:The report server is not responding. Verify that the report server is running and can be accessed from this computer.

  • when i type http://localhost/reportmanager, i found the error:

HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found

The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Data Points: Report Controls in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services

Reporting has always been one of the dark arts of development. The tools typically seem to do just enough to get you to a certain point, then leave you to find workarounds to solve more complex issues.

Virus Hunting: Track and Report Server Attacks Quickly and Easily with the .NET Networking Classes

To help stop the spread of worms, viruses, and other hostile activity, it is important to track down and report the servers used in these attacks along with those used to send spam. Many Web administrators, however, don't take the time to track them because the manual process can be quite cumbersome. The Microsoft .NET Framework comes to the rescue with several networking classes, including the Dns class and the TcpClient class, that abstract away the complexity of performing DNS and WHOIS lookups. These classes make it easy to create a simple, straightforward ASP.NET-based utility for performing these lookups and automating this very important task.

Cannot export from a Report in SharePoint integrated mode in a server hardend environment

We have installed Reporting Services 2008 integrated with MOSS with SQL Server 2008 on a 64 bit platform.

The environment has worked fine in test (but the servers are not hardend).

With the production environment, any attempt to export from a report into another format (eg excel, tiff etc) results in an unexpected error within SharePoint requiring closing the browser and reopening.

There are no details behind the error. We can also find no traces of the error within any of the logs (SharePoint, Reporting Services, Windows event log etc)

When the report is opened directly from Reporting Services (ie http://servername:8080/reportserver) the report exports fine. Similarly, if the report is opened directly from Report Builder 2, or through opening Report Builder 2 from SharePoint there is no issue. This issue only happens when the report is invoked directly through SharePoint.

We can only assume that this issue has something to do with server hardening/UAC as we have

Report server URL accessible with Firefox But not with IE 8

I configured reporting services integrated with Share Point. I can able to access the report server URL using firefox. But, i am unable to browse to the URL using IE. Anyone, please shed some light on this. I can able to access URL in IE by using IP address:

Example : [Firefox]

http://systemname/reportserver      {accessible}

Example : [Internet Explorer]

http://systemname/reportserver      {Not accessible}

Error starting SQL Server Agent - Could not load the DLL xpstar90.dll. Reason: 126

AD Service account password was changed.  Now the SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER) will not start even after updating the password.  Have no access into the databases.  Log files say "Could not load the DLL xpstar90.dll, or one of the DLLs it references. Reason: 126(The specified module could not be found.)."  Service Account has Full rights on system.  Any help in solving the problem would be great.

Install on New Windows7 - Getting Invalid SQL Server Agent credentials

Hi: I have a Developer License for MSSQL Server 2008.  Have just upgraded to Windows 7 Professional Edition.  When installing MS SQL Server, the setup shows that I have an instance of SQL Server Express already installed.  I am given a choice between Default Instance and Named Instance.  First time I chose named instance and then used the name of my machine - RBS1.  I received the following message:  The credentials you provided for the SQL Server Agent service are invalid. To continue, provide a valid account and password for the SQL Server Agent service. Went back and tried Default instance and got same answer.  Can't proceed to install.  Any help in this greatly appreciated. roger
