Composite control: How to bubble a textbox's TextChanged event?

I've created a composite control that contains several controls, including a textbox. I'm trying to expose the TextChanged event of the textbox as an event on the composite control. I understand that events can be bubbled up the control hierarchy and handled at a higher level, which I've attempted to do, but I can't get the bubbled event to fire. When I drop the control on an aspx I can see the TextChanged event, I can subscribe to the event, but nothing ever happens. Any suggestions? Here is what I think is the relevant code:

// My event
private static readonly object EventTextChanged = new object();

//Handle the bubbled event

EventHandler textChangedHandler = (EventHandler)Events[EventTextChanged];

protected override bool OnBubbleEvent(object source, EventArgs e)
{
    bool handled = false;

Knowing the event occured in user control in current page

Hello,

It is placed there because this needs to be available in all the pages. My user controls raises a even on item clicked. Binding an event method from a control in a seperate window

How would you bind a event method from a control back to a seperate window?  I have a ActiveX control hosted in a WindowsFormsIntegration wrapper.  That is operating in its own window along with all its events.  The properties of the control are handled by a class that defines the dependency objects (thanks Bob) to provide a view model between it and a window with controls for setting/getting those properties.  Since events constrained to Window 2, is it possible to bind the events back to Window 1?

loadviestate of control created on the load() event

Why if I create a label on the load() event its properties are restored after a postback, even though it doesn't pass through the loadviestate stage? Example:Partial Class Default2 Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Protected Overrides Sub LoadViewState(ByVal savedState As Object) MyBase.LoadViewState(savedState) End Sub Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim lb As New Label Me.Controls.Add(lb) If Not Page.IsPostBack Then lb.Text = "xxxx" End If End Sub End Class <%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default2.aspx.vb" Inherits="Default2" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title>title</title> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" /> </form> </body> </html>   And why everybody advice to create controls in the overrides of the method LoadViewState(), if it's ok also in the load() event

e.Result in selected vs selecting event of linqdatasource control

hello,

in the selected event it seems even though e.TotalRowCount really is the total row count, when I cast e.Result to a type in order to access the actual data only the current page of data is there? not all.

IEnumerable<InventoryGridItem> items = (IEnumerable<InventoryGridItem>)e.Result;

items only has the 15 records for the current gridView page, not all the records, is this normal? If I need to access all the items in the result do I need to stick with the selecting event instead?

Regarding Telerik RadGrid Control Resizing OnColumnResizing event

If I have telrik control of radGrid in user control1 ....

That user control1 I have specified in another user control2 through Register tagprefix.

Now in UserControl1 ,I have just mentioned the Definition of rad grid and not specified columns.

The columns I am generating in UserControl2 programatically.

The column I am generating is of type GridTemplateColumn ,

Now please tell how can the OnColumnResizing event of Radgrid.Clientsettings.Clientevents.OnColumnresizing event can be used in UserControl2?

Gridview Link Button control click event

Respected Reader,

I have  Web page that uses LinkButton control inside Template Fields of Gridview.

I am trying to work on LinkButton Click event and trying to preserve the Value of LinkButton that user click, and based on that value, i want to refresh tha page data.

I used CommandName and CommandArgument property of Linkbutton, but i can use that property only in GridView_RowCommand method by checking e.CommandName expression. But the problem with that Gridview_RowCommand event fire after all other page_load activity. So the value never used in the page_load event to refresh the data in all other control.

I also tried to use OnClick Method, Session variable and Hidden variable. but when i run Response.Redirect method from Gridview_RowCommand, it clear all the Session and Hidden variable values. also tried (Response.Redirect(,false)) method but never got success.

Any suggestion will be appricated in advance.

DataGrid control properties not updating on resize event

I have a DataGrid control on a form and I'm binding it to an ArrayList that is populated dynamically as the user scrolls.  The array list is pre-populated with blank records equal in number to the number of records in the DB.  As the user scrolls, if they stop in a place where there are blank records I populate that data from the DB.  I'm using the VisibleRowCount and VertScrollBar.Value properties to determine where I am in the DataGrid.

The problem is that if I scroll to the bottom of the control then maximize the control it's resize event fires, the VertScrollBar is redrawn proportionally to the number of records, but the Value and VisibleRowCount remain unchanged.  If I then grab and scroll the scroll bar up then back down to the bottom, the Value and VisibleRowCount update correctly.  Is there a way for me to get these values some other way or to force the scroll bar to refresh/update manually?
