ssrs - expand image not visible when viewed in IE

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 12, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

I have created a tabular report in SSRS. The report drills down to monthly level when toggle image (+) is clicked. When this report is viewed in Firefox, it gets expanded & collapsed and the proper toggle image is displayed. The same report when viewed in IE doesn't expands and hence the toggle image remains as is (just the page is refreshed).

Note: A dashboard is created in sharepoint 2010 and deployed.

Please help.

Copy non-visible area of a panel to image object?

Hello, I'm using VS2008 and I would like to copy the entire area of a panel to an image object (bitmap image).  There are lots of examples out there describing how to copy certain areas of the screen, but I would like to capture the entire area of a panel, even if a portion of the panel is not currently visible. Or perhaps you can suggest a different way to achieve my goal - that is, I have a table layout panel with some various lineshapes drawn onto it, and I am aiming to recreate or simply include it on a rdlc report as an image.  Because of the various lineshapes that are included in the tablelayoutpanel, a datagrid/table/matrix control doesn't appear to be an option.  So I'm aiming to copy the tablelayoutpanel to a bitmap image object, then insert that into an image control on the report.  Any ideas? Thanks!

SSRS 2008 R2 Sparklines are only partially visible when rendered in IE7, IE8 and Firefox 3.6

I'm troubleshooting a sparkline/chart rendering issue on the report server and am wondering if anybody has had any similar issue. The sparkline is rendering with a larger apparent size than the column cell where it is located so only a portion of the chart is visible. Charts appeared correctly in BIDS preview but were rendered incorrectly when accessed from the report server in IE7,IE8 and FF3.6 on one machine and from IE8 on another machine. Report rendered correctly when accessed from the report server via IE6 on all machines tested. It rendered correctly when exported to excel or pdf. I submitted a bug report.  It has examples and screenshots. https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/588778/ssrs-2008-r2-sparklines-are-only-partially-visible-when-rendered-in-ie7-ie8-and-firefox-3-6#details Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

SSRS report, doesnt show default value in paramaters when viewed in reportserver

Hi   We have a problem where we have a report that we have deployed to the production SSRS server, when I view the paramater list on the production reporting srver the particular report has the HAS Default paramater ticked, but the default value drop down selected value is blank yet the values are available in the drop down.   When looking at this in system test the default value is loaded.   When comparing the two RDL's they are identical and when loading the report files in Development tools the default value is selected, has anyone come accross this before ?   Ben

SSRS 2008 - Drilldown - Grouping collapse/expand /title/header

I have been able to have a report with Group / Group count and Details.

The issue I have are:

1. When I collapse the drilldown to get only the Group and Group countit just collapse per page not the full report...I would like to have all Group / Group count on 1 or two pages and then epand as needed...

2. The title and column headers appear only on the first page... how to get it on all pages?

What is the "Linked Report" doing? Is it another kind of Drill Down..?

I need to have my summary report per OS for example shows only the OS Name then Count and if I click to expand I will have the servers in this group... but it seems working reverse way, I mean you have the details and if you collaspe you have the summary but this seems limited per page...

Report - Drill down/Expand details? - how do I create this report in SSRS

I'm having trouble making this drilldown/expand details report. It is probably simple - but is beyound the basic drill down examples that I have found.

My data has multiple rows per product because 2 of the columns are joined with tables that include multiple rows per product. This is related products and prices for quantity intervals.

Is it possible to use grouping so that I could have these show as 1 row per product and then be able to expand the information

Any solution will do – it could be like this:

Built-in Functions - Text and Image Functions in SQL Server

Text and image functions operate on TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. These data types are deprecated with SQL Server 2005 and should be replaced by VARCHAR(MAX), NVARCHAR(MAX) and VARBINARY(MAX) when possible. Alternatively you can also consider storing large string values using XML data type. Text and image functions are nondeterministic.

Future versions of SQL Server will not support TEXT, NTEXT and IMAGE data types. Columns with TEXT / NTEXT data type do not support commonly used string functions such as LEN, LEFT, RIGHT, etc. Furthermore, due to the large size of TEXT data you''re likely to see performance issues if you store such data in the database. However, at times you can''t help but use the TEXT / NTEXT / IMAGE data types (for example when supporting 3rd party databases when you cannot change the schema) - this is when text and image functions come in handy.

Program for Format Conversion of An Image

.NET provides extensive support for image conversion. Any image can be processed from one format to another. Most common formats to which .NET have support for are .BMP, .EMF, .GIF, .ICO, .JPG, .PNG, .TIF and .WMF.

Configuring Profile Image Export in SharePoint 2010

It's no secret that I am thrilled with the new social features of SharePoint 2010. I am most excited about the new Profile Picture handling. I strongly believe that the more we can show the faces of our colleagues to one another the more connected we will feel. Clearly Microsoft feels that way as witnessed by the many features that make use of the Profile Image like the Activity Feed and Colleagues list
