Retrieval of the XML document from the following location is not authorized

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 12, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint
I have created and successfully uploaded an InfoPath 2007 template to my sharepoint server. It works perfectly fine - submits form to the library up to a moment when I want to view submitted form. First time it showed error "Retrieval of the XML document from the following location is not authorized" and after that it just shows "This form has been closed". It is really important for me atm as I am converting my company's hr forms and person responsible for approval needs to be able to view submitted forms in the browser.

How to Configure search for meta-data based retrieval of documents into Document Libraries?

I need to crawl update of newly created/updated documents within document libraries. My understanding says i need to create the new content source and associate the crawls.. and newly created and updated documents would be crawled in the next sceduled incremental crawl. But my question is how i can create the dadicated content source for document libraries as the content as there is no such content source type.

Any suggestion or workaround would be greatly appreciated.

Sent To location modifies document

When using the Custom item Send To Location feature of a Document Library, the item's Last Modified datestamp gets updated in the source location. As I like to start a workflow on this event (that deletes the document from the source location, so effectively moving it), could anyone tell me what field has changed that triggers an item modification in this case? I tried turning on version history on this Document Library, however no new version is created - so I am confused.
Thanks, Sander

Working with SharePoint document libraries

Document libraries are collections of files that you can share with team members on a Web based on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. For example, you can create a library of common documents for a project, and team members can use their Web browsers to find the files, read them, and make comments. Users with Microsoft Office 2003 can check out and edit the files as if they resided on a local or network drive.

By default, your team Web site comes with a built-in document library named Shared Documents, which is listed on the Quick Launch bar as well as on the Documents and Lists page.

jQuery $(document).ready() and ASP.NET Ajax asynchronous postback

Many call it the ASP.NET jQuery postback problem, but using the technique below should make it no problem anymore. $(document).ready() isn't called after an asynchronous postback. What this means? You lose the functionality that should be executed within $(document).ready() after an UpdatePanel rendered its contents after an asynchronous postback.

SharePoint Document Workspaces for Developers

Office 2003 is being released this month, and a cast of supporting applications is already available. One of these is Windows SharePoint Services 2.0, the free team add-on for Windows Server 2003. If you're not familiar with SharePoint Services basics, take a look at What Developers Need to Know About Windows SharePoint Services. In this article, I'm going to drill into one key place where SharePoint and Office 2003 overlap: document workspaces

Upload a File to a SharePoint Document Library - Part I

The following helper class demonstrates a few techniques that allow documents to be uploaded to a SharePoint document library programmatically without using the API or a custom web service. You don't need to specify a document library name, and it will create any folders specified in the URL as required. File meta data will be updated if any properties are passed.

SharePoint document migration challenges when migrating files and folders

There are several challenges when migrating documents to Microsoft SharePoint. While these challenges can be overcome, they are a real pain if the migration source, content and file systems are not SharePoint friendly.

Security Question Answer Retrieval

I know there is a method built in for retrieving the encrypted password, but how do I retrieve the encrypted security answer?

What I want to do is have a member profile update screen that the end user can update their password and security question and answer. However, when they get to this page, I want to already be showing the security question (the easy part) and its answer (the not so easy part).

I have updated web.config with passwordFormat=Encrypted and have added a machineKey with the generator (forgot the link, but located on eggheadcafe somewhere).

I haven't done ANYTHING yet, since I already have a user store with hashed information. I wanted to get some functionality done before publishing, wiping the store and recreating users (only a couple developers).
