ssrs print at bottom of the page

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 11, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server
Hi all,

Is there any way you can print a text at the bottom of a page without it actually being in a footer?.
Actually, there is table above the text box so i dont know how long the table is gonna be. The text needs to be at the bottom of the page, not just below the table.

SSRS 2008 - repeating a non column header column on every page

Hi - I am working on my first SSRS report and I have mostly all of it down except one issue. Per requirements, I need to display a column that is a non header column to repeat on every page while printing and or when I save the generated report in SSRS as a PDF file. I have seen some previous blog from 2007 where RepeatWith property is recommended to be set to the same name of the Tablix in which the column(s) are embeded, tried that but it is not working. Can any one help me on this or guide me how to resolve this? Thanks, Manny

Passing parameters from ASP.Net web page to SSRS report

I have a web page that displays some data.  The user first selects a date range on the web page and then can edit some data.  When they click a submit button, I want to run a report.  But I would like to pass the start date and end date values that the user already entered on the web page to the report.  Is this possible?  Can I use the value of a session variable in the report? SSRS Table Header working differently in and out of print layout

Please help. This is bizarre and seems like a bug to me. Using a table in SSRS, I have a details row, with a parent group and finally a header row.  For my header row, I am referencing a particular cell in the parent group. I am doing this so that i can have the header row repeat on each page of the group. This works fine when I'm not in Print Layout mode. However, when i switch to print layout mode, or print the report itself, the data that is presented on the screen is different then what is presented when not in print layout mode. WHAT THE F*!@!?? I've been battling this for a while now and i'm at my wits end. Has anyone else experienced different results from when you are in print layout mode as opposed to being in print layout mode?

Problems passing parameters to SSRS report from ASP.Net web page

I have a web page that displays some data.   When they click a submit button, I want to run a report.  But I would like to pass the start year/month and end year/month values that the user already entered on the web page to the report.  Here is what my url looks like when the report is displayed: http://xyzserver/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=%2fReports%2fDevicesAllNew&rs:Command=Render&StartYYMM=201007&EndYYMM=201008 But my report displays the 2 textboxes for my StartYYMM and EndYYMM parameters as empty.  What am I doing wrong?  I did a google search and I saw something about using ReportServer instead of ReportManager.  I notice at the top of the browser when I run my report, it reads "Report Manager - Windows Internet Explorer".  Is this correct? SSRS 2008 group footer totals on a new page has a non-expected large cell height

SSRS 2008 group footer totals on a new page has a non-expected large cell height. When the group total is the first component on a new page, then this happens, but when it is part of the group on but not the first component, then it reverts to normal cell height. I have played with the advance settings now for hours, but cannot get this to work. Any ideas?

How to print a customer statement with the return part at the bottom.

I have a customer statement that is being generated out of SSRS with the customer return stub at the top third of the document. The statement is printed on paper stock that breaks the paper up into 1/3 and 2/3rd's of a sheet after seperated. Because the statement portion that is returned by the customer then has perforations on it once it is torn off, and those perforations are on the bottom, our payment scanner does not handle these top portions very well. Basically we are experiencing lots of jams. We have found that if we place the return portion at the bottom of the page so that the perforation is at the top of the detached portion, the scanner processes the documents just fine because the documents are not riding on the perforation. I've been able to move the parts of the report around so that the part that returned by the customer is underneith the detail, however because the number of statement detail lines changes depending on the customer, the actual information that should be printed on the bottom third of the paper moves up and down depending on the number of statement lines. My problem is, the part that is returned by the customer is suppose to have some mailing information line up in window envelopes. The information changes depending on the company the statement represents. I've tried putting the fields in the 'Page footer', but you can't reference r

RDLC - blank space at the bottom of the page

We have designed RDLC having tables and binding dynamic data to the tables, so that we can export it to PDF.  While binding the data to the table,  if the cell content which we are binding to the table row is large and doesn't have enough space to fit in the page, then the table row is moved to next page and because of this we are able to see blank space at the bottom of the previous page. For example, if there is a table in a page with 3 rows, if the 3rd row is huge and cannot fit into the the same page with other rows; the 3rd row is moved to the 2nd page.  There is huge space after the first 2 rows in the first page because of this. ive tried resizing the details section but it didn work. Any other solution?

Table styling at the bottom of the page

SSRS page break issue

Hi, I am using SSRS 2005. I have developed a SSRS report which prints multiple invoices, having invoice numbers and the parameters. The report is printing multiple invoices having page break after each invoice ends. But there is a header and body section. The body section contains the line items. The issue is after the header part the body part is moving to the next page for some invoices. When the line items are less, it is printing contineously after the header. If the line items are more the whole body is moving to the next page. When I try to fix this issue, some records are printing in the same page of the header and only last record is printing in the next page leaving a long blank in the first page of the invoice. I appreciate any one can solve this issue and it will be really helpful in solving this issue. Thanks , Mahalingam

SSRS page break when export to PDF

Hi, I am using SSRS 2005 version. I am printing multiple invoices, taking multiple invoice numbers as a parameter and printing invoices. I have grouped the report based on Invoice  number, so that the invoices are printed sequentially and there will be page break after each invoice number. Within each invoice there is a header, body and footer. My issue is after the header is printed, an automatic page break happens after the header and the body moves to the next page. Therefore there is a large gap between the report header and the body. The report layout is landscape. I wish any one can solve this issue and grateful if they can give the solution for my problem. Thanks, Mahalingam
