SharePoint Brnading: Problem with Web Part Editor Pane

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 11, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Hi All,

I am facing a problem. With custom Master Page when I set the Width of "Body Container" to 1020px, the Editor pane is not shown on screen (it moves to extreme right and Editor Pane is not visible on screen).

I have added lot of DIV control, Code is below

<%@ Master language="C#" %>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

SharePoint Calendar Error: The "ListViewWebPart" Web Part appears to be causing a problem. Index was

In one specific SharePoint calendar, on one specific week in that calendar when we select the "more items" link in the monthly view (or the expand all option) we get the following error:
The "ListViewWebPart" Web Part appears to be causing a problem. Index was outside the bounds of the array.

If we select a different week the expand and collapse works fine in that calendar.

Custom Web Part Problem After SharePoint Restore

Hi, I've recently moved our sharepoint site and databases (using Microsoft Internal Database) to another standalone server. I did a catastrophic backup and then restored it on the destination server successfully via the central Administration page. I have also copied our custom web part library dll to 'c:\windows\assembly' directory and 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80\bin' directory. I also copied over the old web.config file to 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80'. However, I still seem to be missing something as I get the error below while loading the site. I haven't been able to find a solution so hoping someone has seen it before here. Has anyone seen this happen before? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Reporting Services Chart in SharePoint Web Part, Broken Image Problem

Hi,
I have a reporting services report that displays a dundas chart, it is a snapshot report executed daily.  When displaying the report inside a page viewer webpart or a report viewer web part in SharePoint, the first time after a recent snapshot occurs, the image shows up broken.  On refresh of the page the image is visible.

MOSS 2007
SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services NOT running in SharePoint Integration mode.

Any ideas or work arounds to get the image to display on the first load of the page or why the image is broken?  I've tried different report parameters, Format, ClearSesson with no luck.  Viewing the report in Report Manager works fine and also going directly to the ReportServer page is fine.  It only occurs when it's inside of SharePoint inside of the Page Viewer or Report Viewer web parts or even if I manually create an iframe in a content editor web part.

Thanks!

restrict rich text box to certain fonts and colours in content editor web part - Sharepoint 2010 -

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to make only certain fonts and colours available to rich text box in the content editor web part?

also is there a way to make only certain features available in the rich text box, ie only let the users change font, but not let them use bullet points etc.

Thanks

Dane

Adding the Content Editor Web Part to a SharePoint Layout .aspx page

Hi,

we've created a layout page that contains the Rich Text Editor web part. But the client requires a web part that allows the embedding of audio/video files. The Rich Text Editor strips out the objects when we try to embed them.

I've used the Content Editor Web Part to add audio and video files (by manually adding the web part to the page), but I can't find the definition for that web part to include it in the layout page so that the client doesn't need to manually add the web part themselves to every page that requires it. (Which could be many pages.)

Any help would be appreciated.

SharePoint Application and Site Pages - Part 1 of 2

In this first part of the two part series, Steven covers the differences between Site and Application pages in SharePoint 2007, why each may be used in various circumstances, and prepares for the construction of a menu located application page. After a brief introduction he examines the concept of Site Pages and Application Pages separately in detail with supported screenshots.

SharePoint Application and Site Pages - Part 2 of 2

As the second article in a two part series, Steven examines the attributes and details of a SharePoint 2007 application page, including the construction and feature deployment of the same page based project. Since this is a WSS level objective, as opposed to MOSS, you will not need MOSS to work with the code included in this project. Windows Server 2003, WSS, and Visual Studio 2005 are all that is needed, with no additional add-ons. He provides a detailed analysis of each step involved in the creation and deployment of the project.

Choosing Between a User Control or Web Part for SharePoint

SharePoint will only display Web Parts on a page. However, there are publicly available shims that allow you to write user controls and have them be displayed as a Web Part. From SharePoint's point of view, the shim is a Web Part. From the point of view of the user control, the shim is simply a control in .NET that is including the user control

Track: SharePoint for Developers - Part 1

Are you a developer who wants to learn more about Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS)? MOSS is based on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, which will make it easier for you to get more problems solved with less effort. Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 takes full advantage of Microsoft ASP.NET and the Microsoft .NET runtime. In this course, you will be immersed in the new features and added programmability that is support in MOSS, which will provide you with a wealth of development opportunities.

Upload a File to a SharePoint Document Library - Part I

The following helper class demonstrates a few techniques that allow documents to be uploaded to a SharePoint document library programmatically without using the API or a custom web service. You don't need to specify a document library name, and it will create any folders specified in the URL as required. File meta data will be updated if any properties are passed.

Content Query Web Part missing in SharePoint 2010

If you don't see content query web part listed in the web parts list, this is because you have not enabled "Search Server Web Parts" feature in site collection features. Enable this feature and content query web part will show in the list of web parts.

Creating a Basic SharePoint Web Part

This programming task includes the steps for creating a basic custom Windows SharePoint Services Web Part. It is a simple Web Part that allows you to change the Web Part's Title property, which is a Windows SharePoint Services WebPart base class property that sets the text in the title bar of the Web Part.

Embed Youtube inside Ajax Html Editor- problem

Hi,

When inserting a simple embed of youtube inside the ajax editor, on firefox and chrome problems occur. On the other hand on internet explorer 8 everything works fine. I found this solution http://www.nopcommerce.com/boards/t/4228/bug-in-ajax-html-editor.aspx .

My question is where do I find the DesignPanel.pre.js ?

Thanks,

Web Parts: Use Windows SharePoint Services as a Platform for Building Collaborative Apps, Part 2

Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003, which is part of the Office System, lets you create and manage virtual servers, site collections, sites, workspaces, and users. You can also use the Windows SharePoint Services object model to design and implement user-targeted applications. In the second part of a two part series, the authors take a look at the WSS and SPS object models, Web Part Page anatomy, creating and deploying Web Parts, and Web Part security. They also discuss Web Part infrastructure and how to create custom Web Parts.

SharePoint Blog - Admin web part - newBlogPostOnClient JavaScript function

In the Admin Links web part in a default blog site, there are several links, the last one of which launches Microsoft Word and allows you to manage your posts from the Word blog template.  Cool feature.  But that web part is not configurable and I can't figure out how to duplicate that functionality.  It appears to have 3 GUIDS that are part of the function, part of the last parameter looks like the Posts list GUID, but it is concatenated with another GUID.   I want to either create my own web part or modify the XSL of the page to call the function, but I'm not sure what those other GUID parameters are.  Does anyone know?  The last one seems to be two of the separated by the # character.

Thanks
