I have a a list that recieves email. I have few fields that shows me the originator: "E-Mail From" and "E-Mail Sender".
I am trying to create a workflow that will generate an auto reply to the originator but the SPD fails to recognize the email address in these two fields. It's either truncating part of it or uses the html ( href=mailto:Demo@DemoSomething.com) in
the To field.
When an item is manually created in AA an SPD workflow on custom list AA sends an email to
email@example.com. Since BB is an email-enabled list, a list item should be created in BB. However, no list item is created in BB, even though it appears BB should be receiving the email.
So the situation is, i have a list, that receives emails from a particular account all day long, recently it has started recieving emails "late" being it will mass process emails at various times of the day. Before it proccessed them as soon as
they were received.
Event log shows
A critical error occurred while processing the incoming e-mail file C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Drop\e472144001cb44a40000001e.eml. The error was: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Drop\e472144001cb44a40000001e.eml' because it is being used
by another process..
Have this error everywhere.
It seems SMTP is having issues but wanted to come here and get some insight.

We have unified messaging set up on one of our mailboxes this mailbox recieves all the company faxes.
What i want to be able to do is have the faxes sent directly to a sharepoint list instead, we currently run Exchange Server 2007 and i am unsure what i need to set up both on the sharepoint side and on the Exchange side in order to get this to work.
I am delivering SSRS 2005 reports via email subscription. I would like to utilize distribution lists. However, we do not have an exchange server. Is there a way to create distribution lists on the server that can then be accessed through
hopefully someone can help me with this MOSS-Issue:
when you activate incoming e-mails for a document library, sharepoint automatically creates a few columns in the document library such as "e-mail to", "e-mail subject", etc.
The problem is that it seems not be possible to access a few of these newly created columns.
In my case i have to create one list where the user should be able to send and also drop e-mails to while using the same columns for the emails metadata (to,from. email datetime). When i drop e-mails to the list, it doesn't care which 3rd party tool/outlook
add-in i use - they are all not able to access the newly created columns to save the email metadata into.
So is there a way to change the columns used for incoming emails in a document library ?
We have SP2010 Foundation in our Env.
I am testing mail enabled Documents in SP2010, But I am not able to receive mail in Document Library.
I have configured and verified the setting in Exchange 2007 and SP2010. Everything looks fine.
Mail are hitting the SP2010 Server but not delivered to Mail Enabled folders in SP.
I created a workflow in designer attached to a form library. I also have a custom list "Admins" containing names of persons that serves a different purpose but would also like to be used as recipients for the workflow email everytime a new item in the
form library is created.
I have been searching the net and tried out few work arounds but so far able to send to only one person in the "Admins" list. The list has a column "Admin Name" which is of type "Person or Group".
Thanks in advance!
I have deployed the feature in a advanced scenario.
All work fine, I am able to recieve emails in a library and I can see it in the list with the rest of the documents of the library.
My "problem" is that I can not open it. I can download it in my desktop and then I can open it, but now I can not open it in the browser, like e.g. .doc or .xls
I have noticed that there are some features in library tools/documents like check out (enable) and check in (disable), and I don't know if I have to configure this options.
Thanks in advance.
