The Report porperities or 8.5 x 11in. Each page has a table with a page break at start set to true. But I still get blank pages in between the report.

Blank pages in SSRS Report PDF Export

I am developing a report with almost 25 columns table and the width of the report is 20pt. But I am changing the visibility of a few columns in run-time so that the resultant width will fit in one page (11pt)(I checked all the margins and resultant width of table. Sum of all the widths are with in the pagesize only). Everything is working fine when i check the report in browser, but when i try to Export to PDF there are alternate white pages, which are corresponding to the hidden columns width i guess.

How to achieve PDF Export without white pages? Also, is there any way to shrink the report to a single page?

I am using SSRS 2005

Blank Pages - When exporting reporting to Adobe Acrobat

Blank page while exporting the SSRS report to PDF format

While exporting SSRS report to PDF, I am getting blank page in between and at the end also. The report page size is set to 8.75in x 15.00in with 0.02in margin from left, right, bottom and top. I tried in changing the tablix and rectangle box "KeepTogether" property also. In both the case (true/false), I am getting blank pages. Can anyone help me out?

SSRS Report printing blank first page

I have a pretty basic SSRS report that has a table header, body (with a table), and table footer.  When I view the report in normal layout, all is well.  However, when I switch to print layout only the table header and table footer are displayed on the first page.  I don't see any of my table data until page two.  So, this is adding an additional page to the beginning of the report and it's make a 17 page report 18 pages.  And because I am including the page numbers on the report, this is noticeable to the users of the report obviously.  Any feedback on things I could do or check to remove this blank page would be greatly appreciated.

Pause between pages when printing RS report

I am using Report Services on SQL Server 2005. I have a report that gets its data from a single SQL Server stored procedure. One other small table is used, but only to provide a list of values for selecting a parameter value to send to the stored procedure.

On the report I use a list control to display multiple records per page.

When printing the report (which currently produces over 500 pages - future printings of this report will not be nearly so large), the printer pauses between each page as if they are seperate print jobs. This is an HP LaserJet 5Si that normally cranks out reports very fast.

The only thing I can think of that might contribute to this sort of behavior is the fact that I set my margin sizes to 0in to get as much design room on the report as possible. Could that cause this sort of behavior?

How to supress blank pages when columns are hidden

Is there any way to supress blank pages from being printed when columns are hidden? This will be a complete annoyance to customers.

What I what to do is set some setting that will cause the blank pages to be omitted when hidden colums shrinks the data down to the point that the width of the document is wider than that of the shown columns.

SSRS 2005 Report Printing Additional Blank Page

New to SSRS 2005 and having some problems printing. I have a report that has only 7 columns and while in layout mode, the body of the report only has a width of not even 7 inches. I have made my left margin 0.2 in, RM at 0 in, TM at 0 in and BM at 0 in as well and yet when I print, I get an additional blank page. All my records print in the first page just fine but I get the additional blank page. This also happens to me on a different report when I change the settings for landscape printing. I am able to fit all the columns in one page using landscape but get an additional blank page for every page that is printed. So instead of printing just two pages of records, I get 2 additional blank pages.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

1) Few of my group reports which have more than 500 rows are splitting into many pages without column header. (eg, page 1, page 2... etc.) I would like configure it to be in one page however large it may be.

2) I tried setting column header in group reports which are splitting into multiple pages but its not working.

Either I need achieve point 1 or point 2

Could you please help me how to achieve it?

Can someone show me how to remove blank columns from a matrix report with parameters?

I have a drilldown matrix report with 5 parameters that I group on. The users have the option of selecting any of these parameters when they preview the report. They can also select No grouping as one of the parameter option.   When I run the report and select for example, 4 parameters and the No grouping option, I get blank columns.  When I select no grouping, no data is displayed.  As a result, I get blank columns.  Is there a way to hide the blank columns?  I would appreciate any suggestions.  See table example below:

i dont get any errors but i get blank report inspite of having records in the sql table

High Performance ASP.NET - Speeding Up ASP.NET Pages

have been writing a series of blog posts, which I have named High Performance ASP.NET Websites Made Easy! There is no rhyme or reason to the order of these posts and certainly can be read in any order:

SharePoint Application and Site Pages - Part 1 of 2

In this first part of the two part series, Steven covers the differences between Site and Application pages in SharePoint 2007, why each may be used in various circumstances, and prepares for the construction of a menu located application page. After a brief introduction he examines the concept of Site Pages and Application Pages separately in detail with supported screenshots.

SharePoint Application and Site Pages - Part 2 of 2

As the second article in a two part series, Steven examines the attributes and details of a SharePoint 2007 application page, including the construction and feature deployment of the same page based project. Since this is a WSS level objective, as opposed to MOSS, you will not need MOSS to work with the code included in this project. Windows Server 2003, WSS, and Visual Studio 2005 are all that is needed, with no additional add-ons. He provides a detailed analysis of each step involved in the creation and deployment of the project.

Application Vs. Content Pages in SharePoint

SharePoint has two types of ASPX pages. One type is the application page, also known as a _layout page. The other type of ASPX page is a content page, also known as a site page. Each of these page types is stored in a different location in SharePoint. When developers create custom ASPX pages, they must decide on the page type.

Master Pages in MOSS 2007

'MasterPages' feature in sharepoint 2007 makes the entire customization job easy.In 2003 we used to face lot of issues to get the same look and feel and the standard behaviour for overall site. In 2007, customizing the look and feel for the entire site can be done in a simple way by using 'MasterPage' feature.
