The package contains two objects with the duplicate name of "xxxx" and "xxxx"

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 11, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

hi all,

ssis2008 almost drive me crazy.

i opened a dataflow task by double click, then i dragged and dropped an OLE DB source component, a data conversion component and a "union all" component. i configured the source so it had an output column named "BRANCH_CODE".

after connecting the source and the conversion component, i set up the conversion as following:

input column:BRANCH_CODE

output column:BRANCH_CODE

type:DT_STR   (the original type is DT_WSTR)

after i connected the union component to the conversion, there was a small red cross on the union component,

indicating that The package contains two objects with the duplicate name of "BRANCH_CODE(153)" and "BRANCH_CODE(99)".

and i could not open the advanced editor of the union component.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

How to fix "Validation(): Element 'xxxx' is not supported" Visual Studio 2010

Since about a month ago,I started to get validation warnings at design time on asp.net server controls (any control actually) within the html design view for VS 2010,intellisense on all controls would not work at all,the messages look like this: Validation(): Element 'Label' is not supported. Validation(): Element 'GridView' is not supported ....etc The compilation done successfully but the warnings still exist and intellisense is not working at the source tab I tried to reset the settings of VS 2010 ,disabled all extensions and few other ideas but none of them solved the issue,I got stuck. I did a search over the internet about this issue and found this article on Doug Kennard's blog: http://www.gotknowhow.com/articles/fix-validation-element-not-supported-visual-studio-2010 Splendid,that article is a life savior.

Where is SQL Native Client 10.5.xxxx for Visio 2010

When attempting to use Reverse Engineer tool in Visio 2010 Professional for the Database Model Diagram, selecting SQL Native Client as the data source provider only gives the ODBC SQL Server Native Client as 10.0 (SQL Server 2008). How do I use 10.5.xxxx to connect to a SQL Server 2008 R2 database. Obviously the 10.0.xxxx provider won't understand the newer data types available in 2008 R2.

MVC2 Could not load file or assembly 'xxxx.Models' shared hosting

Hello,I have an mvc2 site that runs fine locally but when i deploy it to my shared hosting account i keep getting this error.Could not load file or assembly 'AppMVC2.Models, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.I have run Reflector againts the dll to see what dependencies the dll has, I then took each one of the dependant dlls and set them to copy local in the project and deployed them all to the shared hosting account even ones that should be on the server like System.Web. except for mscorlib.dll, but i still get the error.I have also tried to bin deploy and deploy the code files and get the same error.I have seen people write about fusion log but i don't see any examples on how to get this running on shared hosting.Just wondering does anyone else have any recommendations on how to track down the source of this problem?

Framework 4.0 dll loaded by a 2.0 executable cannot find "xxxx.resources.dll"

 Hello, I have an interesting situation here that I was hoping someone may be able to give some pointers on.  First my application is all provided within a class library assembly so that it can be loaded by multiple hosts.  We are investigating moving to Visual Studio 2010 and the .Net Framework 4.0 for some of the new features.  However, one of our hosts is a 2.0 click once application that we do not have the source to.  I've tried modifying the config file for the executable to add the useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy with the 4.0 as the supported runtime and setting loadFromRemoteSources as suggested by a Google search and that came close to working.  However, depending on the workflow through our client code is giving a System.IO.FileNotFoundException for various references. The message associated with the exception is Could not load file or assembly 'file:///XXXXXX.resources.dll' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."  Were the XXXXX changes and the .dll may or may not be present depending on whether Assembly.Load or Assembly.LoadFrom was used to perform the load.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Does Transfer SQL Server Objects task transfer objects created in the source AFTER the package has b

I created an SSIS package which contains a Transfer SQL Server Objects Task. I configured this task to copy table objects, stored procedures, and object permissions to the destination. Between the time I created my SSIS package and the time it was run, someone created a new table object in the source, and changed permissions on a stored proc in the source. My question is this, at the time the SSIS package is created, behind the scenes, does SSIS create a list of objects to transfer? I had hoped that it creates the list of what specific objects (of the pre-defined type) to transfer at runtime so that whatever changes were made to the source database would be included at runtime.

Annoying issue with: Element 'xxxx' is not a known element.

I am getting hundreds of messages like that: "Element 'xxxx' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the web.config file is missing. "

Very simple to reproduce, just start a new web project and start adding elements to the web page. All this craps starts poping up, no intellisense.

EndPointNotFoundException was caught: "There was no endpoint listening at http://xxxx/xxx/Services/M

When I using a windows service call WCF service, exception happened.

There was no endpoint listening at http://xxxx/xxx/Services/MyService.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.

I have tried http://xxxx/xxx/Services/MyService.svc from url and it is shows its WSDL.

The WCF service in another domain, local machine who invoke web service is Win7, and service is win8.

SCRIPT5009 "xxxx" is undefined

We are using a 3rd party control that renders a diary view.  This has been running successfully cross browser under WS2003 II6 for three years.

When migrating it to WS2008sp2 IIS7.5 we get a SCRIPT5009 "xxxx" is undefined error on some machines but not all.  It would appear that the script is not being servered, however a good percentage of machines display the control without issue.  This is true in IE8, IE9 and firefox. It would also appear that the machines that can use the control are using an established URL but if we provide a different URL they too fail until we switch it back, cacheing?.

We have switched on CGI and ISAPI, is there something else we need to do to force this script to serve?  How should IIS7 be configured to handle this?

The merge process could not retrieve column information for table 'dbo.xxxx'. Verify that you have

Hi, we have a merge pull replication in SQL Server 2008 R2 (publisher) and SQL Express 2008 (subscribers)

The publication contains almost 200 articles.

We are having trouble in only one article.

When we update / insert a row in that table, all the subscribers fail to sync with the following error:

The merge process could not retrieve column information for table 'dbo.Tipo_Movimiento_Caja'. Verify that you have sufficient privileges on the database and retry the operation. (Source: MSSQL_REPL, Error number: MSSQL_REPL-2147201016)

Cannot synchronize the subscription because the schemas of the article at the Publisher and the Subscriber do not match. It is likely that pending schema changes have not yet been propagated to the Subscriber. Run the Merge Agent again to propagate the changes and synchronize the data. (Source: MSSQLServer, Error number: 25007)

The script of that article is really simple, and it has no join filters:

exec sp_addmergearticle @publication = N'IPoint_Pub', @article = N'Tipo_Movimiento_Caja', @source_owner = N'dbo', @source_object = N'Tipo_Movimi

Need help with objects and arrays

I have an objuct that I declared like this:

    Class DailyStats
        Dim _day As String
        Dim _hour As String
        Dim _impressions As String
        Dim _clicks As String
        Property Day() As String
                Return _day
            End Get
            Set(ByVal value As String)
                _day = value
            End Set
        End Property
        Property Hour() As String
                Return _hour

How to check for null/empty strings on dynamic objects?

What is the proper way to check for null or empty strings on dynamic objects? This is the only solution I've found so far:

if (admin.PasswordHash.GetType() == typeof(DBNull) || admin.PasswordHash == string.Empty)

If the field is null, the object returned is DBNull.Value, but if the field is empty string, it's return as a System.String object. This makes it impossible to do regular "admin.PasswordHash == DBNull.Value" check, as that will fail whenever the field has been set to empty string. Is my example the right (and only) way to go?

how to serialize objects ??

Is there any way or process to serialize the the objects?? i am trying to store the instance of few control in viewstate but it shows error msg that it is not a serialized object. should i perform some steps to serialize the objects ???

Problems posting to a package

Hey Y'all

I'm currently creating a program that accesses a mysql package to add data to a few tables.  I'm currently getting an error that says  "

ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-06512: at "JESSE.PKG_WORKPLAN", line 42
ORA-06512: at "JESSE.PKG_WORKPLAN", line 177
ORA-06512: at line 1

These lines are

and 177:add_team_members(V_PROJECT_ID, V_START_DATE, v_FISC_YEAR, V_MEMBERS ,V_NUM_MEMBERS,'add');

Checking these variables in my asp.net page they are all receiving parameters.

Is there a  way to see what the database is actually receiving from the asp.net page?

Or is there another thing to be looking at?

SMTP not working if I use web deployment package to deploy my app.

Hi all

I use msdeploy to install my web app. deployment package. everything about web app works, but find out email was not working.

I checked telnet smtp is running.

I debug the project, and it was sending out email too.

So my solution was upload the whole project (not complied) to wwwroot, and email works too. Thats why I assume the deployment cause the problem.

at last, I also tried to copy the web deployment web.config to replace the project's web.config, and the email also work, so it wasn't the web.config problem.

Could anyone tell me whats going on?

My environment:

I have a first class named "Class1". I have a second class named "Class2" Class2, is a member of class 1,
and is implemented as an array of objects of type Class 2.

If I try and call the Accessor GetName() my hard coded value "Hello" in my accessor is not returned? Only
an alpha character like "T"

Also if I try and assigne a value using the setter GetName() it does not work, and the compiler gives me
an error message "property Chars is ReadOnly? Does anyone know what is wrong in my code? Line 6 above
