I'm busy learning Silverlight & WCF. I've created a WCF service that I can consume happily in a .NET 4.0 website. So I thought I'd have a go at consuming it in a silverlight app. I'm getting a weird error...
I use svcutil to create my class (called in this case service1.cs) and my config file. I put the config output into ServiceReferences.ClientConfig and add the service1.cs class into my silverlight project.
I can reference everything fine, so I build the project. I then get
Error 2 The type or namespace name 'ExtensionDataObject' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Runtime.Serialization' (are you missing an assembly reference?)
I've checked my references and System.Runtime.Serialization is there, but its version 2.0.50727. This is despite the silverlight project being .NET 4.0. The WCF project references version 4.0.30319.
So I know what the error is, but I have no idea why its occuring or the proper way to fix it...
Any one got any ideas?
