KeepTogether=false on table not working within rectangle

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 23, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

I have an rdlc report that has a table contained within a rectangle. Since I have multiple data sections within the BODY of the report, I am using rectangles to keep them separated.

Anyway, the problem is that <KeepTogether> set to false on the table is not working when the table is contained within the rectangle, causing unwanted page breaks and acting as though KeepToghther is always true. The rectangle does not have <KeepTogether>.  When the table is outside the rectangle everything works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

SSRS Table Header working differently in and out of print layout

Please help. This is bizarre and seems like a bug to me. Using a table in SSRS, I have a details row, with a parent group and finally a header row.  For my header row, I am referencing a particular cell in the parent group. I am doing this so that i can have the header row repeat on each page of the group. This works fine when I'm not in Print Layout mode. However, when i switch to print layout mode, or print the report itself, the data that is presented on the screen is different then what is presented when not in print layout mode. WHAT THE F*!@!?? I've been battling this for a while now and i'm at my wits end. Has anyone else experienced different results from when you are in print layout mode as opposed to being in print layout mode?

Save Changes not working correctly when SQL table has a trigger

Hi all,

My WCF isn't working currently when a SQL table has a trigger on it that updates a column.

My table:

(SalesID int, SalesNumber nvarchar(10), OrderType nvarchar(3), OrderDate datetime) the trigger creates a new formatted string value for SalesNumber based on the OrderType and the SalesID, e.g GRN00001

The trigger is applied when the WCF service adds a new record. But the return values for SalesNumber is still NULL. I'm not sure why it will not update. If I restart the programme it retrieves the correct data...

public tblSales tblSales_Save(tblSales dsUpdated)
{
  db.tblSales.ApplyCurrentValues(dsUpdated);
  db.SaveChanges();
  return dsUpdated;
}

public tblSales tblSales_Save(tblSales dsUpdated)
{
  db.tblSales.ApplyCurrentValues(dsUpdated);
  db.SaveChanges();

  tblSales dsNew = tblSales_FindID(dsUpdated.SaleOrderID);
  return dsNew;
}

Neither way works...

CausesValidation="false" not working outside usercontrol

I have a aspx page with two linkbuttons and a usercontrol. One is used to save and one to cancel.

But even though I add CausesValidation="false" on the cancel linkbutton it still validate the the validationcontrols in the user control.

But if I add a dummy linkbutton inside the user control that has CausesValidation="false" it works and postback without validating.

Why can't I have the link buttons outside the user control?

Hello All,

I have a strange issue. I have pre-existing data in my table with full text index defined along with catalog. I noticed that I did not have the docx filter ,so I installed the filter and performed the steps below. After installing the filter  I added a couple of new records. I noticed that the full text search pulled up the new records matching the criteria but did not return any pre-existing records. Could you please let me know the issue.Please note – currently I am using sql 2008 , but also would like to verify the same in sql 2005 as well.

Also could you please verify the steps below for installation in sql 2008 and sql 2005 and with different architectures (Eg windows 2003/2008, 32bit, 64 bit etc)

This was tested on VM image on 64 bit architecture Windows 200

Trusted_Connection=false is not working in Sqlconnection

Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this problem.

Briefly I have a custom Sqlconnection string in my infopath 2010 form which is:

SqlConnection

con = new SqlConnection("Server=SQL2;Database=Payroll;User ID=xxxx;Password=xxxxxxx;Persist Security Info=false;Trusted_Connection=false");

Trusted_Connection=false indicates that it uses user ID and Password from the string to connect to the MS SQL database.

Working with SharePoint document libraries

Document libraries are collections of files that you can share with team members on a Web based on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. For example, you can create a library of common documents for a project, and team members can use their Web browsers to find the files, read them, and make comments. Users with Microsoft Office 2003 can check out and edit the files as if they resided on a local or network drive.

By default, your team Web site comes with a built-in document library named Shared Documents, which is listed on the Quick Launch bar as well as on the Documents and Lists page.

Export Visio Database Table Names to Excel

If you use the Enterprise Architect edition of Microsoft Visio for data modeling regularly, then there is a good chance that at some point you've wanted to export just the table names into Excel. You might want to do this to map logical ERD entities to physical data model tables, track project status by entity, or track overlap between database versions.

Insert value using Table Value Functions

a real gem in Sql Server 2008. mostly people still using Stored procedure may be they shifted to SQL Server but they are not using TVF right now.

Using jQuery to Filter Table Rows

The project is using the .net GridView control, so I had limited control over the output HTML code. Still, I think this code can work for most tables. One thing to notice: you should use the class "filterable" on your table or on one of its parents for the code to work.
First, we need a text box:

RadioButton Groups, Table Rows And NamingContainers in asp.net

The RadioButtonList. Very handy for inviting users to select just one item from a list although because of the screen real estate it takes up, used less and less in favour of the DropDownList. In plain HTML, the browser knows to enforce the unique selected value amongst a list of radio buttons because they all have the same value for their name attributes.
