I am using a "Script Task" component. I am trying with following three simple steps:
1) Obtain the excel content in HTML
Dim reportInHtml As String = GenerateHTMLReport()
2) Generate an excel with below code:
Dim message As MailMessage
message = New MailMessage(fromAddress, toAddress, subject, String.Empty)
Using memoryStream As MemoryStream = New MemoryStream()
Dim contentAsBytes As Byte() = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(reportInHtml)
memoryStream.Write(contentAsBytes, 0, contentAsBytes.Length)
Dim contentType As ContentType = New ContentType()
contentType.MediaType = "application/ms-excel"
contentType.Name = "Excel_Report.xls"
Hi -- My company is in the process of upgrading their SQL Server 2000 data warehouse to SQL Server 2008. Note that my company currently uses the BI toolset from SQL Server 2005. However, my company has no plans to upgrade the 2005 BI services
that we currently use. Will this configuration work?
Back-end Database Engine: SQL Server 2008, SP-2
Back-end BI Services: SQL Server 2005, SP-3 (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS - each on their own server)
Front-end Client Tools: SQL Server 2008, SP-2 (SSMS, BIDS)
My concern is that I would, for example, develop an SSIS package on my laptop with the 2008 client toolset and it would work just fine. But when the package is run in production on the SSIS box (that contains only the 2005 SSIS service), it might
complain because it doesn't understand the 2008 package structure. Or is the SSIS service smart enough to detect the version of the package and work as if nothing was wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help.
My memory in task manager reaches about 900,000K and I don't know why it does this. Definately slows everything down, especially when I rebuild my tableAdapters, takes about 30 seconds sometimes to rebuild the project.

I'm having problems converting a VS 2003 project to VS 2008 (tried 2005 as well, same problem). There are several problems;a) I don't have VS 2003 installed.b) The project is a web service, however I'm not sure what type of VS project it was created as.c) The general knowledge about the project setup is..slim.
I get a error message using the conversion wizard, however, I'm not familiar with the tool and I cannot quite find any good information on Google for it, so I am left with a error message I do not understand.
Conversion Issues - myProject.csproj:Unable to open the Web site
'C:\local\path\to\project\myProject.csproj'. The Web site
'C:\local\path\to\project\myProject.csproj' does not
The web service is not intended to run on the dev machine, it is copied to a test or a prod server. However, I do not know how this was done previously. I'm thinking that in order to convert, it has to access the server on which it should run (which is set somehow in a config maybe). But that doesn't actually make any sence..
If anyone could shed light on this, I would really appreciate it.

I want to generate create table script using c#.net, I want to connect sql server 7.0 and generate table create script. Its urgent kindly help me urgently.
I have a series of Crystal Reports that I can view/edit using Visual Studio 2005 with no issues. The method I'm using is to simply click on the *.rpt file and it opens in the VS crystal editor with no issues. The problem I'm having is that we are upgrading to Visual Studio 2008, and when I open the *.rpt file in 2008 it opens as a binary file. I guess I'm used to everything else in Visual Studio prompting me to convert the older version to the newer version, so I'm not sure what to do in this case.
Is this normal? Is there an easy conversion method that I'm simply overlooking? Am I screwed? Who invented liquid soap, and why?
Answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated...
Hi and thanks.
I'm getting an error on serveral reports that I built in VWD2005 (express) using the reportviewer control. Trying to edit the rdlc file in VS2010, VS2010 asks if i want to convert the file to RDLC 2008 format and I click ok. When I build the site, I get this error (and of course also when the report is ran):
Error 1 The report definition is not valid. Details: The report definition has an invalid target namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2008/01/reportdefinition' which cannot be upgraded. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\mastercardlcm\Reports\WorkLists\OpenSRStatus.rdlc 1
Here is my web.config concerning the RDLC assemblies, etc.
<add path="Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd" verb="*" type="Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler, Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=126.96.36.199, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" validate="false"/>

I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend. Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint. The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could
find. The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.
I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application
however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to
http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.
Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work? did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in? The above is the only problem i am having now.
all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu
