i have a site which uses windows credentials to login and in the site i have link to ssrs server.

crendentials to the ssrsserver to access the report.
can anyone suggest on this..
I tried next C# code.
I want to make webBrowser1 (WebBrowser control) to load Yahoo web page fully (display full Yahoo web page), and then load Google web page.
But, with the code above, WebBrowser control displays Google web page only.
So, I tried following C# code.
I would like to create SPSite object and pass user token as an argument to make sure all operations are executed with SharePoint security trimming. Inside SPSite I am reading some file content using File.OpenBinaryStream() method.
I am not sure if there is a way to create SPUser using user credentials. I am able to get SPUser by getting it from SPWeb.AllUsers collection using user login name. However it doesn't work for claims based sites as login name for these users looks like i:0#.w|domain\username.
Am I allowed to user code like this:
SPUser user = web.AllUsers["i:0#.w|domain\username"];
to get SPUser object? I know that 'w' from 'i:0#.w' string means that it is Windows user. What do other symbols mean? Is there any method which can generate login name from user credentials so I may use it to get SPUser from AllUsers collection?
Possibly there are some other ways to execute code for SPSite under some SharePoint user privileges?
P.S. All my code is running out of SharePoint context. I have tried to user windows impersonation but got Access Denied error.
Thanks beforehand for any help,
We are using MOSS 2007. We have created window based site and extended it to use SQL-Form based Authentication so that users can access it from outside. Now we have a requirement to use the Active Directory Authentication and test the application from outside.
Our Alternate Access Mapping settings are as below:
Internal URL Zone
Public URL for Zone
I want to create a site with news, in the way like SharePoint 2007, with a list of news on the main page (title, image, and short description).
What template I must chose or what is the way?
Thanks a lot!
I am migrating from SharePoint 2007 to Sharepoint 2010.
We hae 2 custom workflows to be migrated.I have deployed the respective wsp which were used in Sharepoint 2007 site. But it did not help and i got errors.
Do i need to change my site definiton or my wso before deploying the same to Sharepoint 2010
Still new. What can I add to my site to get picked up by serch engines without paying for services?
Right now if I do a search My site does not appear.
I have a sharepoint site on a production server here "http://servername:10500/sites/mysite" which accepts AD accounts - I'd need to make this accessible from internet; how could I do that?
Our admin has mapped our "http://subdomain.company.net" in DNS to point to the above url but I'm getting the following error message:
In SharePoint central administration of the "http://servername:10500" web application, I have added an internal url of "http://subdomain.company.net" for Internet Zone; not sure if I should have done that?
what else do I have to do?
I have a large list (125MB) that I wish to make an exact copy of within the same subsite of a site collection (albeit with a different list name, of course).
Because of the size, creating a template with content throws cabinet errors even with an increased max template size.
The gl-export/import does not work when importing/exporting into the same site (it just appends the data to the existing list). importlistitem/exportlistitem also seem to have a bug that prevents the import from working properly.
Creating a blank list off of the template and copying items over in datasheet view is not feasible as it does not appear to retain created/modified data.
This is MOSS 2007 SP1, though publishing features are not available on this particular site. This can be investigated if it is the only method.
Thank you for your time.
I know it is easy to save a site as a favorite or as your homepage, but with many they won't do it unless it comes up and bites them. The most common complaint I hear is that users find it difficult to navigate our company's portal trying to
locate our site. I have been looking at automated ways to make it easy but I am striking out.
I know this should be simple and people should know enough to be able to save a favorite, but in these days we have to do it for them. Can someone help?
I Have a Server 2008 R2 machine and I installed on it SP2010 now I want to make it available externally.
I've rooted the ADSL external IP on "a" port so I can have http://220.127.116.11:8*** external access. How can I now make the server display the content inside SharePoint Server...? I've tried with the Central Administration Mapping tool but did not work Can
anyone help me?
Thank you in advance
