Infopath VSTA .rowfilter

Using one Sharepoint List.
Infopath 2007

How can I get the value for column 2 filtering on column 1 and it shows in a drop down list box? I am a low level hack, yeah I am still scraping my tongue on the ground, but I can only get column 2 data that is LIKE column 1 filter. I am having problems getting the AND or = to work in the .rowfilter. I don't think this impossible, but it is not like MS Access.

I am looping through both of the sharepointlistitem.SelectSingleNodes

dv.RowFilter = "title1 LIKE'" + filterValue + "*'";

Dropdown Box 1 (Filterbox): Vehicle  >    Click a Command Button   >     Dropdown Box 2: Color (Red)

Column 1    Column 2    Output

Porche           Red             Red
Rabbit           B

Infopath 2010 - VSTA won't install

I installed InfoPath 2010 and try to install the Visual Studio Tools for Applications, but ".NET Programmability Support" & "Visual Studio Tools for Applications" both show as "Not Available" during the install. Ideas why VSTA won't install? All the requeirements appear to be satisfied. - Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 - MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB941833) - MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB954430) - MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB973688) - MSXML 6.0 Parser (6.10.1129.0) I have Infopath 2007 and VSTA install and working successfully on the same PC.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Vsta...

I was evaulating SharePoint Designer 2010 and InfoPath 2010 for my team so I installed both of them on my pc. But after I realize we won't have SharePoint Server 2010 for a while, I uninstalled those two applications.

Now the problem cames... when I try to publish a InfoPath 2007 form and it gave me that error message:

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Vsta, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies.

Clearly, Visual Studio 2005 is trying to find the assembly from InfoPath 2010, but it's been uninstalled already. So how do I tell VS to use InfoPath 2007?

Another question, how to force InfoPath 2007 to create the C# code project with VS 2008? It's using VS 2005 by default.

How VSTA integrate with InfoPath?

Hi Group,

I have downloaded vsta SDK

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7C2EA8AE-E051-449A-9051-3A351BF27B7F&displaylang=en

I installed vsta SDK along with Infopath 2007 on Windows 2003 server. But I could not figure out how infopath work with VSTA

Here is what I did,

  1. Start InfoPath 2007, and open or create a form template in design mode.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Programming, and then I have the following choices

Inside MSDN: Using InfoPath as a Reporting Solution

I love the part of my job that lets me write code and develop software. In addition to those responsibilities, however, I manage a development organization that's working on a number of large strategic projects.

InfoPath: Turn User Input into XML with Custom Forms Using Office InfoPath 2003

Office InfoPath 2003 is a new Microsoft Office product that lets you design your own data collection forms that, when submitted, turn the user-entered data into XML for any XML-supporting process to use. With an InfoPath solution in place, you can convert all those commonly used paper forms into Microsoft Office-based forms and end the cycle of handwriting and reentering data into your systems. Today organizations are beginning to realize the value of the mountains of data they collect every day, how hard it is to access it, and are striving to mine it effectively. InfoPath will aid in the design of effective data collection systems. Here the author shows you how to get started.

Infopath and Section 508 Accessibility

Hey, guys! I'm building a web site for a Section 508 workgroup, and I need the site to be 100% accessible (including the administration module I'm making for the team. We're using SharePoint MOSS 2007 and I recommended using infopath to enter data into the site's database (and also to populate downloadable Microsoft Word documents). The customer claimed that InfoPath is not Section 508 compliant, which seemed odd to me because the forms can be modified to anything you want them to be (including 508 compliant).

I even found this guide to making InfoPath accessible:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/HA102146831033.aspx

I'm curious if there are any caveats to making accessible forms in Infopath, or if the information I've gathered is incorrect.

Thanks!

Proper setup using Infopath and Custom Workflow using VS 2008

Hi,

I have been struggling for a couple of days, trying to set up a decent
structure for an Infopath project using a custom workflow using Visual Studio 2008.

I had a solution with two projects:

1) Sharepoint 2007 Workflow

2) Infopath 2007 form w/code-behind.

I included the xsn, in the VS solution, but after a day or two,
something went wrong, and I lost some work. I still do not know what
happened, but I could not get my changes to persist afterthat  Doing research I have read that this
stucture, using Infopath xsn, within VS does not work correctly with Source
Control. I am using VSS.

So I since made a change to the set-up so that the .xsn (form template) is separate from
Visual Studio. However, I need to leave the code-behind in VS, since I need to debug
it.

This is my latest problem. I have been unable to attach to the correct
process, as VS generates cachse files, and who knows what else.

My question is simple. What is the supported method for debugging InfoPath
code/behind, which uses a Sharepiont Workflow?

I just also want to say that one should not have
to spend a few days just trying to setup a working development environment.

This should be trouble-free, but it is far from being so. I

Using Infopath form fieldnames in a workflow fails

Hi,

I designed a form in Infopath and I published it on a SP2007 server to use in a workflow in a library. That goes fine. In the workflow I send an email message. I can use the fields from my Infopath form in the message that I create.
If the workfow is starts, Shrepoints sends me the message. But it does not use the fields from my InfoPtah form in the message in stead I see questionmarks.

Why doesn't it show the fields?

I alse saw (maybe this makes it clear) that when I let it dipslay the URL in the message, it show: http://1.portal.lucasonderwijs, but the actual site is whithout the "1" and it should also start with https://

Has anyone seen this before?

Thank you,

Ronald

InfoPath Workflow Task Form "Loading" event handler only being called after App Pool recycled.

I have a Workflow that is using an InfoPath task form.  In the "FormEvents_Loading" method event handler I have some code that needs to run each time the form is opened.   I recycle the App Pool and open the form the code runs perfectly, but if I close and try to re-open the form the code is not run at all.  I can then recycle the App Pool again and on the next load the code executes just fine.   The code that is supposed to be run is a very simple statement to set a field value, so I don't think it is interfering.

Does anyone know what this might be?

Thanks,

the 2 tutorial i found that i found interested are http://weblog.vb-tech.com/nick/archive/2007/02/25/2207.aspx and the microsoft one o.n the virtual lab.

So what i am looking for is any tutorial which can help me to be understand very well how to use the worklow with infopath or if you have as well some book to advice me for that i would be happy.

Problems moving an InfoPath form from a DEV system to QA environment

We developed an InfoPath form using a local DEV environment.  The site collection under which the form was developed was http://server1/.

We are now attempting to deploy this form to a TEST environment that uses a slightly different structure for the collection, namely http://server2/sites/sitecol1.

In both cases the site that contains the form is /fin (so we were using http://server1/fin in DEV and want to use http://server2/sites/sitecol1/fin in TEST).

The form contains VBA code and so requires admin-based deployment via Central Administration, so to deploy to TEST we:

1. Publish the form against the TEST server using InfoPath Designer

2. Upload the form using Central Administration > Application Managment > Manage Form Templates

3. After upload, we activate the form for the site collection http://server2/sites/sitecol1/

4. The form is then associated with a Form Library

When we try to create an instance of the form within this library we get the following error when we click on New to create the form instance:

The following location is not accessible, because it is in a differ
