WebMatrix beta 2 @Analytics.GetGoogleHtml

Yesterday I upgraded from WebMatrix beta 1 to beta 2.

Published my site and it worked.

Except locally on my PC I couldn't get @Analytics to work (on beta 2) I got an error that @Analytics was not defined, while it worked on beta 1.

Can anybody tell me what to do?

Error while Deploying WebMatrix Beta Application having SQL Database on Remote Server

Hello All,

I have created "DotNetNuke SQL Database Application" from the WebMatrix Gallery.

Now I want to deploy it on the remote server using Web Deploy method.

Without selecting SQL database, application is deployed successfully but when I select SQL database it gives following error:

Publish : Error - Make sure the database connection string for the server is correct and that you have appropriate permission to access the database. (Web Deploy provider is dbFullSql).

Can anyone have the solution of this error?

MVC3 Beta requires WebMatrix.Data?

Switching a project from MVC3 Preview 1 to MVC3 Beta 1 and getting the following error when running:

Compiler Error Message: CS0246: The type or namespace name 'WebMatrix' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

This is on the home/index view which is generated from Razor. The generated class is:

WebMatrix beta 2 - FileUpload helper doesn't work

Hi,

I have this code working in beta 1:

MVC 3 Beta. Google Analytics Html Helper.

I think (I read it somewhere and can't find the source again) there is a new Google Analytics Html Helper on MVC 3 Beta.

Where can I find the source for this helper?

unable to install webMatrix beta 3

The web platform installer still shows WebMatrix Beta 2 as the lastest available and points out that it is already installed.

So that is not been updated as yet.

Any other way to get webmatrix beta 3 ?

Also does webmatrix beta 3 have Intellisense ?

Unable to run .cshtml in Webmatrix beta 3

After creating a Empty Template based website with a default .cshtml, I am unable to run the web page using webmatrix beta 3.

Following error message I have :

Server Error in '/' Application.

Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
Parameter name: site

There's a lot of stuff that's new and added in .NET 4, but not in that "overwhelming-I-need-to-relearn-everything" way. More in that, "oh, this is way easier/simpler now" way. Like, moving data around with ADO.NET DataServices is easy, binding with client templates is easy, there's F# if you need it, the "dynamic" keyword if you need it, Silverlight's already installed, oh, and the parallel stuff will freak you out, but in a good way.

When i try to do anything in webmatrix it shuts down. i get this error in the log

DatabaseHelper for WebMatrix

After some initial trouble with database editor in the beta version of Microsoft WebMatrix, I decided it would be better to create SQL scripts and run them at startup of my web-app. Perhaps the Microsoft.Data.Database helper can be extend to support similar scenarios?

Keyboard shortcuts stops working in WebMatrix

I'm often experiencing that keyboard shortcuts stops working in WebMatrix. This is very annoying as CTRL-S, CTRL-C, CTRL-V, etc. stops working, all of which are heavily used when programming. It's obviously hard to explain how to reproduce this, but I was wondering if someone knows a quick-fix?

WebMatrix shorthand coding?

Will there be support for shorthand statements?

Example:

@if(1==1) @: works
@else @: doesn't work

as apposed to;

@if(1==1){
    <text>works</text>
}
else{
    <text>doesn't work</text>
}

Or perhaps ternary opperators? PHP like stuff ...

WebMatrix conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier?

I am trying to retrieve xml from a small function in my .cshtml page. Its throwing me an error. This however, runs fine in a console/form environment.

It takes 3 parameters and 1 exception.

myDll.GetXML(year, username, uniqueidentifier, out ex);

When I run this page I get the error, "Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier."

I tried reflecting into WebMatrix.exe but was unable. I'm interested on how you integrated the WPF Ribbon & the Office-style sidebar.
