Calculation using Crossjoin throws the error "hierarchy is used more than once in the crossjoin func

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 08, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

My original calculation using a nested Crossjoin works & filters then aggregates records appropriately with the following rules:
- The IncidentDate is within the time period
- The latest Status is within the time period
- The [Status Count] measure is a distinct count

CREATE MEMBER CURRENTCUBE.[MEASURES].[Injuries]
 AS Aggregate(
  Crossjoin(
    Crossjoin(
      NULL:LinkMember(Tail(existing [Status Date].[Calendar].[Day].Members).item(0),[Status Start].[Calendar]),
      LinkMember(Tail(existing [Status Date].[Calendar].[Day].Members).item(0),[Status End].[Calendar]):NULL)
    ,Generate(existing [Status Date].[Calendar].[Day],
        {(LinkMember([Status Date].[Calendar].CurrentMember,[Incident Date].[Calendar]),[Status Date].[Calendar].[All Periods])})
    )
, [Measures].[Status Count]),
VISIBLE = 1;

I only want the users to select data based on the [Status Date] dimension which is why I am using the LinkMember function.
I also had to use the Generate statement so that the measure works on multiselected dates.

Now I need to add in the last piece (Reported Date) to complete the rules:
- The IncidentDate is within the time

Security trimmed URL throws an error if not logged in

On a Moss 2007 site, using FBA - I have an issue with security trimmed items within Lists.   There is not a problem with direct url links to non-list items.
For list items - here is the problem, when a user is not logged in and follows a direct url link from an email or newsletter to security trimmed items within a list - it throws an error instead of offering a redirect to login?

More info:  This is only occurring for individually security trimmed list items that have had anonymous access removed.  When a whole list or library has had anonymous removed, the links work fine (login page appears, log in, taken to original link).

Why is that and is there a way to avoid the error?

If it is of help, this is the error. Thanks in advance.

ssrs 2008 R2 - report parameter with no default set throws java script error

We have recently upgraded from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2008 R2....I am experiencing a problem with my report parameters on my SSRS reports. It seems that my report parameters that I do not have a specified 'default' value throws a java script error when I try and run/render the report under R2.  As soon as I put a 'default' value on the report param, everything is fine.  However, that is not the behavior we need for our reports...the user needs to pick their selection. Can anyone shed some light on this, it seems to be an AJAX problem...I need to be able to have report parameters with a list of values, but no 'default' value on the parameter.

Problem with calculation in combination with crossjoin

Hi fellows   I dont know how to rewrite my MDX in order to get the correct result.    The following MDX statement is reduced to a minimum in order to explain my problem: WITH    MEMBER [Article].[Article].[Article_CE]    AS AGGREGATE ([Article].[Article].[Article_1], [Customer].[Customer].[Unknown], [Location].[Location].[USA])              SELECT       {[Measures].[SalesNet]       ,[Measures].[Budget] } ON COLUMNS ,       NON EMPTY         [Customer].[Customer].[Customer].members         * {[Article].[Article].[Article].members          ,[Article].[Article].[Article_CE]} ON ROWS FROM SALES   If i dont display the customer hierarchie " [Customer].[Customer].[Customer].members " on rows, then every thing works fine! As Soon as I add the above customer hierarchie to my mdx statment, then every thin works fine except for my member " [Article].[Article].[Article_CE]". Instead of showing only one row for customer "Unknown" (see Member definition), a row appears for each customer and with the same SalesNet and Budget.   Any Idea how to rewrite my mdx ?   best regards Pellito

Invoking custom WCF service throws an Impersonation error from SQL

I've written a custom WCF service and hosted it in SharePoint. Accessing the MEX endpoint works fine. However, when I try to invoke the WCF service from my client code, I get the following error: 'A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. OPENQUERY throws Error 7357 when the source SP uses temporary table.

Hello Everybody / Anybody,
Sorry but exiting problem!

The Problem: OPENQUERY throwing error [Error 7357]when the source SP uses temporary table.
Description : Need to validate data against master list. My combo on UI has a source Stored Proc(contains a temp table in it).
I'm importing data from Excel. Before import, I want to validate it against my master list values.

[say field Priority has master values "High, Medium,Low".] and in excel user has added 'ComplexHigh' under priority field]
In this case, my import validator StoredProc should not accept value 'ComplexHigh' as it is not present in my Priority master list]

I'm preparing a temp table tabName  containing o/p of SP, it works fine zakkas if my SP  usp_SelectData does not contain temp table.
I think you got what the situation is!! Woh!

Bug: Valid number throws an overflow error.

I have a major problem. Things were going great until I came across this little bug(?) which has thrown a stick in my spokes. As I will demonstrate below, it seems that when defining certain numbers Visual Studio will throw an overflow error and I have no idea how to resolve this issue.

Dim T As ULong = 14774537964905701134 'Overflow error in the IDE

Dim M As ULong = ULong.MaxValue '(18446744073709551615) we are below the maximum value so it should work, right?

The one solution I have found is that we can use the following declaration instead.

Dim T As ULong = ULong.Parse("14774537964905701134")

However, to make matters even more complicated the value in question is unknown and must be compiled using CodeDOM so using the Parse method isn't an option. Unless there is some way I can determine if that value in particular will give me an overflow error. Any solutions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time.

Delete document library throws "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040E14" error

I am running WSS 3.0 SP2 running the Feb 2010 cumulative update. I have a particular document library I am attempting to delete. When I click on delete in the GUI, I get a page that says "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040E14". Everything I've found so far on the web says this is caused by a SQL server that is out of space. That is not the problem in my case.

Additionally, I have looked at the logs in Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS and found the root cause. When I try to delete this document library, two errors are added to the log. They are
