Hi to all
I got following warning when I opens my solution...
"There is a circular reference involving the import of file "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft.CompactFramework.CSharp.targets". This file may have been imported more than once, or you may have attempted to import the main project file. All except the first instance of this file will be ignored."
I got this error after my VS 2008 crashed three times and after every crash it got restarted and made backup. So three back ups are made in my solution folder... when I got the above mentioned error I moved all the backups from solution but i cant get rid of it....
After I clicked New Maintenance Plans and filled in <Maintenance Plans Name>, an error appeared like below: General access denied error, my account is already sysadmin and public, and agent service has started.
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

I tried to install SQL Server 2008 R1 Express with Tools on Windows Server 2008 R2. It installed, but the management studio failed to install because it said I already had Visual Studio installed and it needed Visual Studio service pack 1 before Management
Studio could install.
Visual Studio is nowhere to be found in Programs and Features, and when I try to install Visual Studio SP1, it won't install, saying:
A compatible version of Visual Studio 2008 was not detected on the system. This update is designed for only the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (ENU) product family, and is not compatible with any Express editions.
Though I can't find any Express version of SP1 to try, and there is no SP1 in windows update.
I have had Visual Studio 2005 & 2008 on this machine in the past. Until yesterday I had visual studio 2010 Professional on this machine. Today, I do not have any version of visual studio on my machine
AT ALL and I still get VSShellInstalledRule Error "Previous Releases of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008" Failures when I try to install SQL Server. I was totally astounded when this error appeared
a week ago as I tried to install my Developer Edition of SQL Server 2008, quite simply because I had Visual Studio 2010 on this machine (until yesterday), not Visual Studio 2008. I could not upgrade to "SP1" as I have the more recent version, the BOL, forums
and MSDN pages don't even consider that this might occur in VS 2010 or even once all versions are removed. At least I haven't seen any yet that do and believe me I have spent far too long looking!!!!!
So, currently, I don't have any Visual Studio on this machine, I can find no traces of visual studio of any version in the control panel applet "Programs & Settings". I could find that, despite uninstalling from the control panel applet "Programs &
Settings" there were in excess of 50Mb of files left on the machine in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\ directory. Hello!!! &
I have a very simple ASP.NET 3.5 project. When I start debugging the project, IE sometimes (about 50% of the time) starts, but never connects to the site. I need to exit IE and restart (which does not always work).
I am developing on Windows 7 and using IIS with a virtual folder as the server for my project. I am running Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
My memory in task manager reaches about 900,000K and I don't know why it does this. Definately slows everything down, especially when I rebuild my tableAdapters, takes about 30 seconds sometimes to rebuild the project.
is it possible to convert whole visual studio 2008 web site project to visual studio 2010 web site project
my current project references
i have a very annoying iis problem
iis server stops working until app pool is recycled
i am hoping that new visual studio (net framework 4.0) may solve this very annoying unsolveable problem
Getting the below error while setting up application on Win 7 using visual studio.NET 2003.
I understand by the error, i need to install Front page server extension, but not able to figure how to install using IIS 7.5.
I had XP machine with IIS 5.1, able to find the option.
Need your help in resolving this.
I wonder how to add a project template called Intelligence Reports, something like that, to Visual studio 2008. I have SQL 2008 installed. Do I need to install some updates to get Intelligence Reports template to Visual studio 2008 ?
What is the latest version of Visual Studio web deployment project which I can use with VS 2008 ?
Can I use VS 2010 Web Deployment Project with VS 2008 ?
i use crystal report integrated with vs.2008, and i want to make chart with dual axis (bar & line).
i have used bar chart and input the data with 2 values..
then in chart options > template, i activated the dual axis..
my question is, how i can change the 2nd value with line chart not bar chart??
i'd tried to find the right settings in "chart options" but still can't find the solution.
for information in "chart options" there are 4 sub menu : template, general,titles,grid..
i read in a tutorial there's more sub menu called "series" in crystal report (stand alone version)..
is it possible doing it in Crystal Report VS. 2008?
please,, i need your advice and solution..
