I have a background I would like to add to the title area of the SharePoint 2010 site but for some reason the masterpage is totally ignoring the background of the area. No matter where I place it (either in the parent div layer or the table).
style="background-image:url(../../PublishingImages/CORP-The_Patio-WebBanner-2000x100.png); height:100px; background-repeat:repeat-x;"
Curerntly there is no content in this region (since the background image contains the corporate logo). I placed a transparent image in the <td></td> column with a width of 100% but also did not render more than a few pixels wide.
<td align="left"><img src="../../PublishingImages/1x1.png" style="width:100%; height:100px;"/></td>
What I have noticed is that the width specified in the style attribute for the td is being ignored. If I modify that to say 1020px then the background image appears. But what I am trying to accomplish is a background image that will expand to
the different levels of resolution that exist in my user base. My image goes out as far as 2000px's.
Is there something I am missing in regards to how MCSFT accepts background images in their title banner area? This is really frustrating.
