I have a fact table that measures the difference between prices between two shops. The measure is linked to a geographical store hierarchy (country > region > store), and date, but the measures table contains several price differences for each
store and date (in fact it is product price differences, rather than store price differences). I view it in excel as a pivot table with dates along the top (rows) and the product hierarchy along the rows.
I've been asked to adjust it so it shows the TOTAL difference in the leaf nodes of the store hierarchy, but the AVERAGE of the children for any non-leaf node. Is there a way to set this up in SSAS, or do I need to construct a new measure for the average
in some way?
Thanks for your help!
