SSRS 2005 external images won't display - images on DIFFERENT file server

Hi, Been having trouble getting external images to display in reports rendered on SSRS 2005. Images are displayed as a red X. However, my scenario is different from some of the examples I have read about. - The images are stored on a file server that is DIFFERENT from the box on which the Report Service is running. For various business reasons I cannot copy the images locally to the Report Service box. I am using "file://fileserver/path/to/image.jpg" to retrieve the images. - Since the file server does not have IIS installed, I cannot access the images using the URL method (http:// access). I need to use the file:// method. Currently I am prototyping this setup on my test box, which is running XP Pro and IIS 5.1. The Report Service is installed on this same box. I am currently testing this through the Report Manager web site (http://servername/Reports). The images are displayed using the Image control, which I added to the report using the visual report designer in Visual Studio 2005. It is set up with source=External and with "file://fileserver/path/to/image.jpg" path values. File names are retrieved from our database and file paths are built dynamically using a data processing extension I have written. My best guess as to why this is happening is that the ASPNET service account on my test box does not have access to the particular share on the file serve

How to display pop up message in SSRS 2005?

Hi Guys, I have two parameters : 1. ReportType (with values - Manager, Supervisor, ALL) 2. EnterID (should enter manually) Normally, the intention of my report is when the user selects ReportType as ALL, they should enter in EnterID as ALL But for some reason, when the user selects ReportType as ALL and he enters the EnterID as value 100 or 200 or some number, the report is showing incorrect results. Now, what I want is When the user selects ReportType as 'ALL'  and if he enters anynumber other than ALL, I would like to see a pop up message displaying saying 'Please type ALL'. Is this Possible?

SSRS 2005 Report Printing Additional Blank Page

New to SSRS 2005 and having some problems printing. I have a report that has only 7 columns and while in layout mode, the body of the report only has a width of not even 7 inches. I have made my left margin 0.2 in, RM at 0 in, TM at 0 in and BM at 0 in as well and yet when I print, I get an additional blank page. All my records print in the first page just fine but I get the additional blank page. This also happens to me on a different report when I change the settings for landscape printing. I am able to fit all the columns in one page using landscape but get an additional blank page for every page that is printed. So instead of printing just two pages of records, I get 2 additional blank pages.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How to GET the Height of a Table programmatically in SSRS 2005?

Im fairly new to SSRS and all attempts to align my table at the Bottom of the page has failed. (similiar to a footer)

I cannot use a footer to do this because the footer allocates space on every page even tho i require the data on the last page only.

I have tried the solutions given to me on the following link: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/08785944-923e-445a-b7de-b1062ea97879/

Unfortunately i cannot seem to GET the Height of the preceeding content (which is in a table).

Any help will be much appreciated!

How can I display the message in SSRS page?

I want to show the user a message in the SSRS page saying "No records found." when the stored procedure does not return any values. Currently my reports shows the report headers. How do I do it? Please help. Thank you.

Display the rows horizontally once the end of a page is reached

I have a report that has only 4 columns. I would like the report to be formatted in such a way that once the rows are all displayed till the height of a page instead of spanning to a new page the successive rows should be displayed as another tablix in the same page side by side. This should continue till the width of the page is complete and then it should move to the next page.

That is the display should be first top to down then right (as a seperate tablix) till the width of the page is utilized. Can any provide me the steps to do this or point to some link that will help to achieve the same. I'm using a tabular report for this report

Thanks and regards

SSRS 2005 Dynamic Table Generation

I am attempting to build a report that allows the user to select the value of 4 different parameters. The final parameter allows the user to select multiple values. My question is as follows. Based on the users selections, is there a way to generate the required number of tables dynamically?

For instance, if the input for the final parameter is A, B, & C can the appriopriate number of tables be generated for the same dataset (Sales) without having to build a table for SalesA, SalesB, and SalesC? Or do I have to build the maximum number of tables and use an expression to determine visibility based on the parameters. Note: max number of possible tables is more than 100.

Using jQuery to Filter Table Rows

The project is using the .net GridView control, so I had limited control over the output HTML code. Still, I think this code can work for most tables. One thing to notice: you should use the class "filterable" on your table or on one of its parents for the code to work.
First, we need a text box:

Sql Server  SharePoint  Silverlight  Others  All
