My hard drive crashed on my HP DV1000 Laptop. WHen I got the new hard drive, I used all the original HP - xp Home disks to setup. I have done all the updates to sp 3, etc. Now, when I try to install Quickbooks 2006 PRO, I get an error message that
I don't have .NET Framework 2.0.4+ more numbers. I am NOT a developer, I just need to get this computer up and running. I am on a home network, and this is the machine I use to host Quickbooks, and one other computer accesses the program. I see the latest
edition of .NET Framework is v 4. Would I be well advised to just put v4 on, would it include v.2, 3. and 3.5? Or do I have to load them sequentially like the xp Service paks and updates? In other words, is 4.0 Backwards compatible?
What caveats do you have for me. I've never encountered this error message, though I have re-installed windows on a couple of other computers and had to reinstall programs.
