Hi All.

My ListView has chechbox column and I would like to select some rows in ListView and delete them by click Delete button. That is code of Delete procedure.

  Private Sub DeleteSvcButton_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs) Handles DeleteSvcButton.Click
  If Not IsNothing(Me.ListView1.SelectedValue) Then
   If ListView1.SelectedItems.Count > 0 Then
    For i As Integer = 1 To ListView1.SelectedItems.Count
     Dim TestDataRow As System.Data.DataRowView
     TestDataRow = ListView1.SelectedItems(i - 1)
     Service_Id = Me.ListView1.SelectedValue

delete multiple selected rows

Hi All

I have a ListView that is bound to a dataset. The user has ability to select multiple rows. I would like when a button is clicked, delete all selected items. For that I use a loop but get error message: Operation is not valid while ItemsSource is in use. Access and modify elements with ItemsControl.ItemsSource instead. The code looks

If ListView1.SelectedItems.Count > 0 Then
  For i As Integer = ListView1.SelectedItems.Count - 1 To 0 Step -1
   ListView1.Items.Remove(ListView1.SelectedItems(i))
  Next
End If

The error message point to line ListView1.Items.Remove(ListView1.SelectedItems(i))

How to fix that problem. I will appreciate for sample.

Thanks.

Delete selected rows from Table

Hi

I need to delete all rows from Table A that :

1. equal in year column(tbl A) with Date column from Table B

2. A.policaNum = C.PolicaNum (from TABLE C)

THOSE tables deals with large data amount, so I'd like the best solution to this.

I tried only to select before delete, but it takes too long and throws exception of memory

SELECT   A.*
FROM    A left JOIN
           C ON A.kod_lakoha = C.kod_lakoha INNER JOIN
           B ON A.YearItra = year(B.TarichNechonot)

thanks

Adding Dynamic Rows in ASP.NET GridView Control with TextBoxes and with Delete functionality

In my previous examples, I have demonstrated on how to add dynamic rows in GridView control with TextBoxes and how to save the values into the database. Now, seems that most of the developers are asking if how to add a delete functionality with it. So in this example, I'm going to show on how to delete a certain row in the dynamic GridView with TextBoxes.

Gridview that exports selected rows to Excel

his seems like a messy workaround, but I ended up using two Gridviews - one to display my data and show my checkboxes, and the other which was invisible amd would eventually end up as my Excel spreadsheet.

Row command working on all rows not selected one?

Hi,

I have this code that hides a column in a gridview.  (The column houses another nested gridview).

    Protected Sub GridView1_RowCommand(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewCommandEventArgs) Handles GridView1.RowCommand
        If e.CommandName = "Select" Then
            If GridView1.Columns(0).Visible = False Then
                GridView1.Columns(0).Visible = True
            Else
                GridView1.Columns(0).Visible = False
            End If
        End If
    End Sub

The trouble is that if I click the select link on one row that action to hide is carried out on all rows.  How can I set this up so that it only hides the row that is selected?

Thanks.

How to Delete from a SortedList using Listview Control

I'm new to Asp.net, and I looked at an example of using a listbox's selected index to delete from a sortedlist. I'd like to write something that would get the selected index from a different control, like a listview, and then delete from the sortedlist. I've read up on a few examples on how to bind data from a sortedlist to a listview, but I've not seen an example of how to get the index once the data is displayed! Can this be done? Thanks for any response!

Cannot delete rows in a list via Lists web service's UpdateListItems-function, even though I am abl

Hi all, I'm trying to delete some rows in a SharePoint 2010 Foundation list via Lists.asmx -web service's UpdateListItems. The web service is called from BizTalk. I am able to create rows, but for some reason delete fails. I also use "GetListItems"-function without problems. The exception I get is Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException. The message is "Cannot access a closed Stream." The updates-element of the UpdateListItems-function is as follows (well, a part of it, the real one has more Method-elements, but you get the gist..): <Batch OnError="Continue" ListVersion="1"> <Method ID="1" Cmd="Delete"> <Field name="ID">1900</Field> <Field name="IMEI">GFA-687</Field> </Method> <Method ID="2" Cmd="Delete"> <Field name="ID">1901</Field> <Field name="IMEI">OVG-567</Field> </Method> <Method ID="3" Cmd="Delete"> <Field name="ID">1902</Field> <Field name="IMEI">OXI-570</Field> </Method> </Batch> I've also tried that Batch without the IMEI-information, as well as with a valid ViewName. Why cannot I delete when I can clearly modify/create rows - what's up with th

Is it possible to assign a tooltip to the rows of a GridView in a ListView?

On my VS 2010 WPF app, I've got a GridView within a ListView.  The user searches for some clients, and the clients that match the search are put into the list view.  I'm wondering if it is possible to bring up data that would be specific the the client that the user is hovering the mouse over, in a tooltip?  And if the answer is yes, how is that done?Rod

ListView.ItemTemplate with Button. Command doesn't execute when item is selected

I have a listview with an item template that contains a button: <ListView ItemsSource="{Binding AllProducts}"> <ListView.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid> <Button Content="Add Supplier" Command="{Binding AddSupplier}"/> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ListView.ItemTemplate> </ListView> When the listitem is not selected and the button is clicked, the command executes fine. However, if the listitem is selected, the command does not execute. I have tried putting click and mouse down event handlers on the button, but the events do not fire. Is there any way to make the command execute when the listitem is selected?

delete rows from a list box

DataTable dt = (DataTable)Utils.SessionHandler.Reportgrid;

        int RowCnt = dt.Rows.Count;

        for (int iCtr=0; iCtr < RowCnt;iCtr++)

        {

       if (lstNumber.Items[lstNumber.SelectedIndex].ToString() == dt.Rows[iCtr]["Number"].ToString())

         {  dt.Rows.RemoveAt(iCtr);

                Utils.SessionHandler.Reportgrid = dt;

                lstNumber.Items.Remove(lstNumber.SelectedItem);

                break;

            }

}

the above condition is used for a list box that has entries populated from the database. and when i click on them it has to be removed but it

generates the foll exception.

i put a breakpoint two steps above and it breaks out at the if condition.

  Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

InfoPath Forms : Adding rows dynamically from a SQL table along with a 'Delete' button per row

My requirement is something like this:

In a Task Approval form, I want to have a view which shows all the rows in a particular SQL table (in a infopath repeating table?). Along with each row, there should also be a button, on clicking which the row should disappear from the infopath view table. Do you think InfoPath can handle all this? :)

To summarize:

1. How do I add rows to a table dynamically?

2. Per row, how do I create a button dynamically?

3. How do I remove the row from the view when the button is clicked?
