I have a standalone installation of SharePoint 2010. I've created users as local accounts, not using AD. When users try to edit their information to add email addresses etc for alerts the fields are not visible.
The path is my settings>edit item>edit personal settings
The only options shown are attach file, save and cancel. All other tool bar functions are disabled.
Is this because I've not used AD? I've taken a look at the event logs but there is nothing of ay value here.
